Arknights: Endfield 1.2 Test Area Map – Everything You Need To Know

With the release of Arknights: Endfield version 1.2 second phase update, a brand new map has been updated and released for the Wuling Region in the form of the brand new area called Test Area.

How To Unlock Wuling’s Test Area

To unlock the new Test Area in Wuling, players will need to progress in the Wuling’s main story up until the 1.2 Main Story Quest mission. Once you have finished the main story quest for 1.2 Wuling, a brand new Main Story Quest that takes place in the Test Area will be unlocked, allowing players to traverse to the area.

However, unlike other Areas in Wuling, the Test Area requires an additional step for players to unlock to be able to start exploring. This additional step is the Heavy Blight that covers the entrance to the area. In order to clear the Heavy Blight blocking your path, players will need to produce the brand new Heavy Liquid Xiranite by producing Heavy Xiranite and package them into a Ferrium Bottle. This process requires players to at least advance in the Wuling Factory enough to be able to produce Heavy Xiranite and create Heavy Liquid Xiranite enough to pass through the entrance of the area, which is around 50 bottles.

In order to produce these Heavy Liquid Xiranite bottles, players will need to be able to make Heavy Xiranite at least, meaning you will need to finish the main story quest for Wuling up to a certain point and have the ability to make at least 8 Forges of The Sky. Once all conditions are met, simply use the Heavy Xiranite Liquid to create an opening and you will be able to enter the brand new area.

Important Area Resources and Facilities

In the new Test Area for Wuling, there are certain important resources and facilities that players need to take note of in order to best clear all of the important things in the new Test Area map:

– There are a total of 32 Chests and 17 Aurylenes on the map, resulting in a total of around 1500 Orundums that players can obtain from exploring the new area. Please note that some chests and Aurelynes can only be obtained after players have finished the main story quest around this area, so players should prioritize finishing the main story quest first.

– There is are 2 main ore veins in this area: a Cupprium Mineral Bed with 2 Veins and a Originium Mineral Bed with 2 Veins, both of these veins can be accessed once players have finished the main story quest and will require players to have Hydro Mining Rigs to access in addition to energy, so players should also prepare these to connect these ore veins to the nearest AIC.

– There is a Depot Node in this area that can be upgraded to the maximum level of 3 and can be used to be the main delivery job for extra Wuling Bills.

– Most crucially, this area introduces an entirely brand new mechanic in the form of the Water Treatment Sector, which can be unlocked once players have finished the area’s main story quest.

Water Treatment Sector – How To Use and Optimize

Water Treatment Sector is a brand new area facility that can be unlocked and upgraded in the Test Area once players has completed the area’s main story quest.

The Water Treatment Sector is used mainly as an additional way for players to treat certain waste material pipelines from their AIC like Sewage. This process requires players to link the waste pipes from the AIC all the way to the Water Treatment Sector and link them together. The higher the level of the Water Treatment Sector, the more water treatment units will be available, with a maximum of 4 Water Treatment units.

Upon unlocking the final level, players will also be able to access the area’s Xiranite Solution pipeline, which is the result of the Water Treatment Unit treating Sewage wastes. This pipeline can be used to connect back to the AIC in order to be linked and produce important products like Xiranite and Heavy Xiranite, reducing players’ need for extra Purification Units in the AIC.

The Water Treatment Sector is a way for players to reduce the overall area of production in the AIC by removing the Water Treatment units in the AIC and allow players to use other facilities in order to take advantage of the Xiranite Solution Pipeline to produce more items. However, the process of setting this up will take a bit of time and effort to set up.

Arknights: Endfield 1.2 Test Area Map – Tips and Tricks To Get All Rewards

Make Use Of Treasure And Aurylene Detectors

With the Test Area for Wuling being relatively small but having multiple layers underground, it might be difficult for players to find treasures and hidden Aurylenes in this map to fully obtain all of the rewards.

If this is the case, players should remember to make use of the Wuling Treasure and Aurylene Detectors items in the Wuling Exchange Shop, which can allow you to map the location of these items permanently on the map, reducing the hassle of finding all of the hidden Treasures and Aurylenes on the map.

Remember To Set Up Ziplines

Since this area of Wuling has access to one of its few Depot Notes, players will need to do delivery jobs in this area quite often, with the delivery jobs requiring you to not jump, not get hit and not teleport.

Therefore, to maximize the gain from these delivery jobs, players should remember to set up Zipline networks in this new area between Depot Nodes in order to be as efficient as possible with the daily depot missions.

Use The Water Treatment Sector Wisely

The Water Treatment Sector is a relatively unique facility that can often be overlooked by players since it takes a decently long time and a lot of effort to link the facility to the AIC. However, there are important benefits players should consider:

– Sewage Wastes can be very important and hard to control when using Water Treatment units in the AIC, with the Water Treatment Units only being able to individually treat one waste pipeline at a time and take up much space. If players can link multiple Waste pipelines together and link it to the Water Treatment Sector, you can easily treat multiple waste pipelines at the same time without worrying about clogging.

– The Xiranite Solution from the Water Treatment Sector can be used effectively in many different areas for different types of products and can be linked to different AIC sectors if players plan the pipelines correctly. Therefore, taking the time to link these to the different AICs will benefit you greatly.

– An often overlooked feature that players can use to quickly set up the Water Treatment Sector area is to use the teleport function while linking the lines since as long as the pipes are still within distance, you can connect them with the conduits.

Conclusion

With that, we have gone over the brand new area in Arknights: Endfield 1.2 update in the form of the Test Area.
