Arknights: Endfield Gilberta VS Yvonne – Which Operator Should You Focus On

General Information

Running for 3 weeks from the 7th of February, 2026 until the 24th of February, 2026, players will have the chance to roll for the limited 6-star Operator Gilberta on her rated up banner during this period.

Afterward, for 3 weeks from the 25th of February until the 18th of March, 2026, Yvonne’s rate up banner will be released instead, with players being able to roll on her banner to obtain Yvonne.

While either Gilberta or Yvonne is on rate up, rolling on their banner will allow players to guarantee a copy of them once per banner at the 120th pull on the respective banners, and players will also have an increased chance of obtaining the rated up Operator during their featured banner. 

After their featured banner, players will still be able to obtain either Gilberta or Yvonne in other Limited Rate Up Banners in the game, however, they will not be rated up and players will only have a small chance to obtain them when they are not on rate up. Therefore, it is extremely important for players to save up and spend the necessary 120 pulls to guarantee the rated up 6-star Operator on banner. However, with Gilberta and Yvonne’s banners back to back, it is extremely important to budget your pulls properly between the banners since the pull economy in Arknights: Endfield is still not very good.

Gilberta

Gilberta is a 6-star Operator of the Supporter class and Nature Element. She specializes in applying various powerful debuffs on enemies, including the slow, lift and nature inflation effects on enemies She also excels at grouping enemies together and crowd controlling enemies to allow the team to deal amazing damage to them while buffing the team with Arts damage amplification to improve the entire team’s Arts damage output.

Gilberta is a very versatile Operator that many different Arts damage based teams want in the team, with her amazing crowd controlling ability to help group up enemies and solve many different problems for Arts damage team which usually lacks grouping and AoE capabilities. Additionally, Gilberta’s ability to apply Lift and Nature Infliction allows her to become a very good enabler for the Nature, Electric and Physical Teams, all of which either take full advantage of the Nature Infliction Effect of the Lift effect to enable their playstyles. Finally, Gilberta’s amazing Arts Susceptibility application as well as her ability to boost the team’s Ultimate Gain Efficiency and Heal the team makes her a perfect support character for different Arts damage based teams,

Gilberta is a very versatile Sub DPS Support character that can be used in many different teams and serves as a very comfortable Operator to have in hand for different team comp building. However, because of her overall generic usefulness, she does not overly excel at any particular role, with her Arts Susceptibility generally worse than other dedicated elemental supporters and her healing being slightly worse than others dedicated healer like Ardelia. Therefore, Gilberta’s main weakness is that she is too generic and is not the best in slot option for a team comp if you don’t know how to play her properly, with investing in her meaning you will eventually replace her in majority of team comps when the teams’ dedicated supports are released.  That being said, getting Gilberta means that you will have a comfortable Operator to fall back to when building teams.

Yvonne

Yvonne is a 6-star Operator of the Striker class and Cryo Element. She serves as the main DPS option for Ice Damage centric teams, with her ability to deal damage to enemies from afar with her handcannons and the ability to deal large amounts of Ice Critical damage to enemies.

Yvonne is a very typical Main DPS character in gacha games, with the majority of her stats and damage coming from her dealing Critical damage to enemies and requiring players to boost her Attack, Critical Rate And Critical Damage to the maximum. In essence, Yvonne serves as the main damage dealer in an Cyro centric team comp, taking advantage of teammates’ ability to inflict Cryo Inflictions and consume these stacks to enhance her damage output. Yvonne’s main damage output comes from her Ultimate, which allows her to massively enhance her Basic Attacks for a short period of time after consuming Cryo Infliction stacks on enemies to boost her own Cryo damage output, Critical stats and allow her to deal devastating attacks against enemies.

With Yvonne being a main DPS character for an entire elemental team, getting her will open up more team options for players to try out. However, Yvonne also has some slight disadvantages that players need to be aware of. Firstly, as a user of handcannons as her main weapon, Yvonne’s gameplay and targeting can be very difficult and awkward to get used to, due to how enemies targeting with handcannons works in this game. This make it so that when against large groups of enemies, Yvonne is very difficult to play with due to her constant switching between enemies targets without prompting, Secondly and building up from the first point, Yvonne is a very single target damage centric type of character, with her skill kit mainly allowing her to deal damage to a specific enemies at a time and most of the time, her best in slot teammates can’t help her with grouping enemies together. This makes it so that Yvonne doesn’t have much AoE potential, relegating her to only being able to deal with big bosses enemies that doesn’t require you move around a lot. Finally, while Yvonne is a very strong Cryo Main DPS option in the game, players can already make a good Cryo team with some of the other Operators in the game by themselves without having to roll for Yvonne to open this elemental team up, with Last Rite being a notable example of a Cryo DPS character that doesn’t need Yvonne to work. In fact, players shouldn’t use Yvonne and Last Rite together in the same team at all since they will compete against each other by consuming the team’s Cryo Infiction stacks.

That being said, Yvonne is still a very strong Cryo Main DPS option that players can roll for if they want to start playing the Cryo team, with her skill kit being able to output a high amount of damage.

Just know that she is not the best in slot option for many of the teams she can be slotted into, so if you are aiming for maximum efficiency and damage output in your teams, she is not going to help with that.

– If you want to make a secondary team for the endgame content in Arknights: Endfield and want to make a Cryo team, then go for Yvonne. She is an amazing Cryo DPS character with very high damage output that can be that cornerstone for your Cryo team. That being said, please do note that she does lack AoE damage overall and you can also make a Cryo team in the game without her, so take that into consideration before you roll.
