With the end of the Act or Die Side Story event, players will have the chance to experience one of the most influential side stories in Arknights in the form of the Path of Life Side Story rerun, featuring the amazing Abyssal Hunter Ulpianus. In this guide, we will go over everything players need to know about the Path Of Life event rerun and if they should roll for Ulpianus in Arknights

After the end of the Act or Die Side story event, the special Path of Life Side Story event rerun is being run again for players to have a chance to experience the story of the Aegis and the lone Abyssal Hunter Ulpianus, featuring difficult battle stages, enemies, mechanics and a lot of important lore for players to chew on.

Similar to other Rerun events, the Path of Life Rerun Will lasts for 1 week, from the 28th of November until the 6th of December.

Arknights Path of Life Rerun

Because this is a rerun event, both parts of the event will be available right away for players to challenge.

The first part of the event is the story and main story stages, where players can clear and run the stages to farm special operators upgrading materials at an increased drop rate. And the 2nd part of the event is the challenge stages where players can clear each of the challenge stages once to obtain special Originiums from the first clear rewards and then challenge these stages at a higher difficulty to gain even more Originiums.

The Path of Life Side Story Event Stages mechanics revolves around the different types of seaborns and their main mechanic: Nervous Impairment. Additionally, the map main gimmick revolves around the different Beacons that can be activated to enhance the damage output of characters within its range.

The main gimmick of the stage revolves around the waterway beacon, which can be activated when you deploy characters on specific titles on the map. Once activated, these beacons will supplement the damage dealt by all operators in its range with Elemental Damage, allowing everyone to deal Burn Damage and trigger the Burn Burst Effect.

As for the enemies, their gimmick interacts with the map, with the seaborns abilities to inflict massive amounts of Nervous Impairment on allies when they are in range and are attacking, stunning allies if the gauge fills up fully. Additionally, some enemies will have special mechanics to create special roadblocks on the map where you can deploy range operators on.

For this event, don’t forget to bring operators with the ability to heal off Elemental damage to deal with the Nervous Impairment debuff and ranged operators that have good attack range to stay away from the enemies to avoid direct contact.

Throughout the event period, clearing and farming the event stages will reward players with special event exclusive currencies that they can use to exchange for items in the shop.

Upon clearing each stage and completing specific objectives, players can complete the different missions in the event to obtain additional event currencies and recruit the 5-star Defender Operator Underflow.

Arknights Path of Life Missions

The event shop will feature various operator upgrading materials needed to upgrade both Ulpianus and Underflow, as well as various Underflow tokens, Headhunting tickets and more.

Additionally, since this is a rerun event, completing missions will grant special rerun certificates that can be spent on the permanent rerun event shop for additional materials, Orundums and more.

Underflow is the Path of Life Side Story Operator. She is a defender class operator of the Sentry Protector Archetype, specializing in dealing damage to enemies from a distance while also blocking enemies when they approach. Additionally, Sentry Protectors can also hit aerial enemies.

Arknights Path of Life Underflow

Underflow’s main gimmick lies in her ability to deal extra Arts damage to enemies she attacks and deal double Arts damage when against Seaborn enemies, making her one of the perfect operators to bring to seaborn related events.

Underflow’s skills allows her to boost her own attack speed and attack, turning her attacks into toxic finspines that fire directly ahead within her attack range and pierces 3 enemies at once, slowing them down and dealing both physical and arts damage to them. This skill allows her to stall enemies while dealing decent damage to up to 3 enemies in range.

Alongside the side story event Path of Life, a special rate up banner will be available for players to roll on, featuring the returning lone Abyssal Hunter 6-Star Guard Operator Ulpianus

Ulpianus is a 6-star Guard Operator of the Crusher Archetype, an archetype that has the most amount of attack in the game in exchange for 0 defense stat and a low defensive capabilities. However, Ulpianus is the exception of this archetype, with his immensely powerful sustain skill kit and ability to essentially hold his own against waves of enemies and block them from advancing all by himself.

Ulpianus’ Talent allows him to attack all enemies he blocks and recover some HP whenever he attacks. Additionally, his talent allows him to gain max HP every time he defeats an enemy, stacking up and maintaining for the entire duration of a stage, massively boosting his overall survivability. His Skill 1 allows him to deal an instance of big damage to enemies in front of him and drag them towards him.

Ulpianus main skills are his 2nd and 3rd skills, which are amazing tools that make him shine greatly. His 2nd skill is an infinite duration skill that grants him a massive HP and Attack boost in addition to making him block 3 enemies at once and increase his healing talent, turning him into essentially an impenetrable wall against waves of enemies for as long as he is on the field. Ulpianus’ 3rd skill allows him to throw his anchor forward and teleports himself towards the anchor, dealing big damage to enemies in the blast zone and stunning them. This skill is his main nuke skill and allows him to deal massive amounts of damage instantly.

Yes. Absolutely. Ulpianus is one of the game’s most powerful lane-holders and can single handedly handle large waves of enemies for you so that you can deal with other threats on the battlefield. His ridiculously high stat and extremely high survivability makes him one of the best solo operators in the game that you should consider getting to use in both AFK farming contents and difficult end game contents.
