After activating his Elemental Skill and entering the Sturm und Drang state, Varka’s main sources of damage are his enhanced Normal Attacks and his special Charged Attack, Azure Devour.

• The 2-piece set bonus, which grants 15% increased damage, applies directly to his core offensive abilities, making it extremely consistent and efficient.
• The only downside is that it does not boost his Elemental Burst, Four Winds’ Ascension. Even so, it covers the vast majority of his damage output, making it a very solid option.

For Varka, if you do not yet have his signature set, you can use the 2‑piece Marechaussee Hunter as part of a mixed set (for example, paired with another 2‑piece set that gives 18% ATK or 15% Anemo DMG Bonus).

• Just like the first set, its 2‑piece 18% ATK bonus is an excellent stat for Varka. It can be directly converted into DMG Bonus via his talent Dawn Wind’s March with zero waste.
• However, the 4‑piece effect of Shimenawa’s Reminiscence comes with a critical flaw: its 50% DMG Bonus requires sacrificing energy, which completely breaks Varka’s energy system and entire rotation.

That said, if you get lucky and farm two high‑roll Shimenawa or Marechaussee Hunter pieces while farming for A Day Carved from Rising Winds, you can absolutely mix them together as a 2+2 set.
