What Is The Lightrace Banner

With the release of the Genshin Impact 6.7, a special rate up banner in the form of the Lightrace banner will be available for all players to roll on.

During this banner’s duration, players will be able to spend their pulls to roll for a selection of Limited Rate Up 5-Star Characters and Weapons, all of whom are the characters that will be receiving buffs in this version as well. Players can choose among the rated up characters and weapons to select as the main target character. Upon rolling on this banner, every time players pull a 5-Star Character or Weapon, if the Character or Weapon is not the selected rate up Character or Weapon, players will be able to accumulate 1 Wish point.

Upon accumulating 1 Wish point, the next 5-Star Character or Weapon players obtain on the banner will be guaranteed to be the selected 5-Star Character or Weapon. The characters that they can obtain from the banner are only the characters and weapons available on the banner, so even if you lose the 50/50 , you can only obtain the characters on the banner. The characters that are available to roll for on this banner are: the 5-Star Cryo Catalyst Character Wriothesley, the 5-Star Electro Catalyst Character Yae Miko, the 5-Star Cryo Sword Character Qiqi, the 5-Star Electro Polearm character Cyno and the 5-Star Anemo Catalyst Character Yumemizuki Mizuki alongside their signature weapons.

Wriothesley

Wriothesley is a 5-Star Cryo character that wields a catalyst as his main weapon type. He specializes in dealing powerful Cryo damage to enemies with his Cryo infused normal attacks and triggering Stellar-Conduct or Freeze and Shatter on enemies to deal as much damage to enemies as possible in quick succession.

Upon using his Elemental Skill, Wriostheley’s Normal Attacks and Charge Attacks will be massively enhanced, additionally, he will become harder to interrupt, allowing to deal even mỏe Cryo damage to enemies when he is in this state. Additionally, when this mode is active, Wriostheley will lose bits of his HP with every attack, allowing him to safely reduce his HP in exchange for dealing more damage. When this field is active, his damage is also considered Stellar-Conduct damage instead of the usual Cryo damage, turning him into a Stellar-Conduct DPS character as well. This makes him a good low investment Cryo and Stellar-conduct DPS character if players do not have better premium options.

Yae Miko

Yae Miko is a 5-Star Electro Character that uses Catalyst as her main weapon. She specializes in providing constant off-field Electro damage to enemies in a wide area after setting up her totems and nuking enemies with big bursts of Electro damage upon using Elemental Burst.

Yae Miko’s gimmick lies in her Elemental Skill, which allows her to set up 3 Electro totems on the field. These electro totems will periodically deal Electro damage to enemies on the field and apply Electro marks on them, allowing Yae Miko to become a very good off-field Electro enabler. 

Upon using her Elemental Burst, Yae Miko will deal several big bursts of Electro damage to enemies, with the number of bursts increasing based on the totems currently present on the field.

Pull Rating: 9/10. A Very Good Off-field Electro and Stellar-Conduct Enabler

Yae Miko’s new buff makes her a prime off-field Electro Enabler for the Stellar-Conduct team, with her totems now no longer being destroyed upon using Elemental Burst and her receiving an overall damage buff for both her Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst damage. If players want to have a decently strong off-field enabler to invest in for the future Stellar-Conduct teams, getting Yae Miko is a very good investment to consider.

Qiqi

Qiqi is a 5-Star of the Cryo element that uses a sword as her main weapon type. She specializes in providing occasional off-field Cryo application by hitting enemies surrounding the active character and applying occasional healing to the active character whenever this effect activates.

Qiqi’s elemental skill allows her to create a spectre that follows the active character even when she is off-field. This spectre will occasionally circle the active character and deal Cryo damage to surrounding enemies, applying the Cryo mark onto them. When this effect activates, Qiqi will heal the on field character proportional to her stats.

Upon using her Elemental Burst, Qiqi will deal a big burst of AoE damage, dealing Cryo damage to all surrounding enemies and apply the cryo mark to them in addition to applying a massive healing effect to the entire team.

Despite her new buffs making her a more reliable Cryo off-field applicator and healer, Qiqi is one of the game’s oldest standard characters that many players have access to by now and even maybe at high constellation level. Therefore, it is not recommended for players to aim for Qiqi if you want to roll on this banner.

Cyno

Cyno is a 5-Star Character of the Electro Element that uses a Polearm as his main weapon choice. He specializes in dealing rhythmic Electro damage to enemies in a wide area with his Elemental Skill upon being enhanced with his Elemental Burst.

Cyno’s gimmick lies in his enhanced Elemental Skill after using his Elemental Burst, allowing him to deal powerful enhanced Electro Basic and Elemental Skill damage. Upon using his Elemental Burst, Cyno will enter a special mode where all of his normal attacks will be massively enhanced and be infused with Electro, allowing him to deal massive amounts of damage. When in this mode, Cyno will periodically enhances his Elemental Skill, allowing him to deal even more damage

Pull Rating: 7/10. A Decent Electro and Stellar-Conduct On-Field DPS

Cyno is a very simple DPS character whose only job is to deal as much damage as possible while his Elemental Burst is still in effect, this makes him too simple of a DPS when compared to other options, making him fall short in terms of utility and damage overall. However, if players lacks an on-field Electro DPS or Stellar Conduct DPS character, getting Cyno is a decent investment.

Yumemizuki Mizuki

Yumemizuki Mizuki is a 5-Star Character of the Anemo Element and wields a catalyst as her main weapon. She specializes in enabling as many Swirl Elemental Reactions as possible and help to boost the Elemental Mastery of the team whenever Swirl is triggered and heal the team with various snacks.

Yumemizuki Mizuki’s main gimmick lies in her Elemental Burst, which allows her to create a Mini Baku that follows the active character around even when she is off-field. After set intervals, this Mini Baku will periodically create snacks on the field, which can be consumed by the active character, if the active character is above 70% HP, these snacks will trigger small cyclones, dealing Anemo damage to enemies in an area and trigger Swirl if the enemies are inflicted with Elemental Marks. If the active character is below 70% HP, these snacks will instead heal the active character. If these snacks are not consumed, they will automatically explode and deal Anemo damage to enemies.

Pull Rating: 5/10. A Standard Character That Can Be Easily Obtained.

Yumemizuki Mizuki is one of the newer Standard 5-Star Characters in the standard pool that players can obtain whenever, so it is not recommended for players to roll specifically for her on this banner. That being said, she can become a very good investment for the future Stellar-Swirl elemental reaction, an elemental reaction that will most likely be introduced in the brand new region of Snezhnaya.
