General Information
Valeriy is an upcoming 4-Star Character of the Electro element that wields a sword as his main weapon. He specializes in providing the team with a shielding effect while also boosting the team’s attack stat passively with his buffing effect and provide the team with off-field Electro application.
Valeriy Skill Kit
– Basic Attack: Performs up to 3 consecutive sword strikes.
– Charge Attack: Consumes a certain amount of Stamina to leap forward, slamming his shield cannon into the ground upon landing and dealing AoE DMG to nearby opponents.
Valeriy can gather Electro energy from the battlefield and store it within his shield cannon as Charge, up to a maximum of 100. When he has at least 40 Charge, Valeriy will consume all Charge to unleash the Enhanced Charged Attack: Thunderclap instead.
– Enhanced Charged Attack: Valeriy raises his shield cannon and fires a laser blast at opponents in front of him, dealing AoE Electro DMG, then gains a certain number of Assault Order stacks. If Valeriy is:
·Not in the Radiance: Stellar-Conduct state: When a nearby active character in the party deals Electro DMG to an opponent with a Normal Attack, Charged Attack, Plunging Attack, Elemental Skill, or Elemental Burst, 1 stack of Assault Order will be consumed to increase the DMG dealt, with the increase based on Valeriy’s ATK;
·In the Radiance: Stellar-Conduct state: When a nearby active character in the party deals Electro DMG to an opponent with a Normal Attack, Charged Attack, Plunging Attack, Elemental Skill, or Elemental Burst, if that DMG is considered DMG dealt by the Stellar-Conduct reaction, 1 stack of Assault Order will be consumed to increase the DMG dealt based on Valeriy’s ATK;
When DMG dealt in the above manner hits multiple opponents simultaneously, Assault Order stacks will be consumed based on the number of opponents hit.
– Elemental Skill: Valeriy braces his shield cannon and charges forward. Upon reaching the end of his charge, he rams opponents in front of him with the shield cannon, dealing AoE Electro DMG, gaining 40 Charge, and deploying an Electro Energy Shield.
The Electro Energy Shield’s DMG Absorption scales with Valeriy’s ATK, and has 250% absorption efficiency against Electro DMG.
– Ultimate: Valeriy gathers his strength, raises his shield cannon, and fires a Stormshell into the air. A powerful Electro shockwave spreads out from the shield cannon, dealing AoE Electro DMG to nearby opponents. The Stormshell then splits apart in mid-air, and the resulting munitions gradually fall around him, dealing Electro DMG to nearby opponents.
– Passive Talent 1: While the Stormshells from his Elemental Burst are falling, Valeriy gains 5 Charge whenever the active character deals Electro DMG to an opponent. A maximum of 80 Charge can be restored to Valeriy in this way over the duration of each Elemental Burst.
– Passive Talent 2: Assault Order gained after using Enhanced Charged Attack: Thunderclap is further enhanced based on the Charge consumed when used. If Valeriy is:
·Not in the Radiance: Stellar-Conduct state: Each point of Charge consumed further increases the DMG dealt by 0.3% of Valeriy’s ATK;
·In the Radiance: Stellar-Conduct state: Each point of Charge consumed further increases the DMG dealt by 0.9% of Valeriy’s ATK.
Valeriy Constellation
– C1: Valeriy regenerates 6 Elemental Energy after using Enhanced Charged Attack: Thunderclap. For every 10 Charge consumed beyond the first 40, he regenerates an additional 1.5 Elemental Energy. Up to a total of 15 Elemental Energy can be restored in this way. This effect can trigger once every 15s.
Additionally, the first time Valeriy gains Charge through his Elemental Skill after entering combat, the amount gained is increased by 150%.
– C2: All party members gain 100 Elemental Mastery for 18s after Valeriy uses his Elemental Skill.
While the Electro Energy Shield is active, excess Charge gained by Valeriy from any source is converted into shield strength, with each point granting an amount equal to 8% of Valeriy’s ATK. A maximum of 20 excess Charge can be converted into his Electro Energy Shield in this way.
– C4: Maximum Charge is increased by 30, and Valeriy gains 30% more Charge from all sources.
– C6: Enhanced Charged Attack: Thunderclap and Stormshell attacks gain the Armor-Piercing Rounds effect:
Their DMG is increased by 100%. Opponents hit take Electro DMG with 10% increased CRIT Rate for 7s, and if that DMG is considered Stellar-Conduct reaction DMG, its CRIT DMG is further increased by 40%.
Overall Gameplay Assessment
Valeriy is an Electro character whose main goal is to set up the team with powerful Electro damage buff and an Electro shield to allow the team to do their damage rotation with ease while being protected when being on the field.
Valeriy’s main gimmick lies in his Charge mechanic, which he can gain by using his Elemental Skill, his Elemental Burst or his charge attack. When Valeriy has enough Charge stacks, he can unleash his enhanced Charge Attack, dealing AoE Electro damage to enemies in front of him and generating Assault Order stacks for himself. When Valeriy has Assault Order stacks on himself, whenever an active character attack enemies and deal damage, their damage will be enhanced and a stack of Assault Order will be consumed. This allows Valeriy to enhances the team’s damage output passively.
Upon using his Elemental Skill, Valeriy will set up an Electro shield for the entire team, dealing Electro damage to enemies and gains 40 Charge. Once Valeriy unleashes his Elemental Burst, he will constantly bombard the field with Electro attacks from above, dealing Electro damage to enemies for a period of time even when he is off-field.
