Honkai Star Rail 4.0 Currency Wars Update – Every New Contents and Changes

Alongside the release of the Honkai Star Rail 4.0 Update Patch, several massive overhauls have also come to the Currency Wars gamemode in the game, with a variety of brand new contents, gameplay adjustments, new featured enemies and even more challenging contents. Brand New Characters

With the release of the 4.0 Update Patch, 3 new characters will be added to the gamemode, each with their own faction, tags and roles:

The Dahlia (1-Cost/Break/ Planet of Festivities):

– On-field: Increase Hits per action for The Dahlia’s Follow Up Attacks.

– Off-field: Enemies can take Super Break Damage when not in Weakness Broken state. The Dahlia and 1 on-field character becomes “Dance Partner”. When reducing Toughness, they can deal Super Break damage, and the number of attack instances for The Dahlia’s Follow Up Attacks is increased.

Yao Guang (1-Cost/Skill Point/ Xianzhou):

– On-field: Yao Guang’s Elation Skill can advance The Lightning Lord’s action. Her Talent effect increases the Elation Damage dealt by allies.

– Off-field: Yao Guang’s Ultimate can additionally trigger Aha Instant, while Elation Skill advances Lightning Lord’s action. Provides Elation Damage buff to all allies and increases damage taken by enemies.

Sparxie (4-Cost/Skill Point/ Galactic Voyager):

– On-field: Sparxie has a brand-new Elation Skill “Mega-influencer”. Cumulatively opening crystal ores during battle increases the level of “Mega-influencer”. After attacking, “Mega-influencer” has a chance to obtain crystal ores based on its level.

Character Adjustments

Together with the release of brand new characters into the gamemode, several characters have also received balance updates to their skill kit in this gamemode specifically, with the majority of them receiving buffed effects:

– Black Swan: Skill kit now reflects her Nova Flare buffs and gained increased stats and overall damage buff.

– Fuxuan: Gains more Talent charges at battle start.

– Castorice: Gains improved stats.

– Hysilens: Deals more DoT damage.

– Jingliu: Gains improved stats. Abilities consume more HP and deal more HP-based damage to enemies.

– Acheron: Nihility characters in the off-field zone now count for her talent.

– Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae: Added new Xianzhou Bond

– Lingsha: Decreases cost from 4 to 2. Added Heal Bond. Improve Abilities Modifiers and Fuyuan’s action counts. Fuyuan now grants the entire team damage amplification based on the count.

– Argenti: Added Energy Bond. Gains new Energy related effects and off-field effects.

– Ruan Mei: Gains additional buff effect charges when using abilities.

– Sparkle: Skill kit now reflects her Nova Flare buffs and gains increased stats and overall damage buff.

– Tribbie, Mydei, Hyacine: Gains increased stats.

– Sampo: Deals increased DoT damage.

– Blade: Gains increased stats.

– Huohuo: Cost reduced to 1. Gains increased stats.

Additional Bond Effects and Changes

Alongside the release of brand new characters, several brand new bond effects have been added to certain keywords and some adjustments have also been made to rebalance the overall effect of some bond effects:

– Galactic Voyager: All Bond effects received an increase in initial value. Added Sparxie to the bond effect:

Sparxie: Provide 1 random buff from the list of Galactic Voyager buff effects, reset every node.

– Xianzhou: Added Yao Guang and Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae to the bond effect.

– The Planet of Festivities: Added The Dahlia to the bond effect.

– Follow Up Attack: Increases Damage Amplification and Buff Values for the 9-bond Effects.

– Break: Added The Dahlia to the bond effect.

– Energy: Added Argenti to the bond effect.

– Heal: Added Lingsha to the bond effect.

– Bloodflame: Increases the maximum amount of HP consumption recordable by the 8-bond effect. Increases the value of the damage buff from Bloodflame’s additional effect.

– DoT: Increases overall DoT damage amplification values.

– Skill Point: Added Yao Guang and Sparxie to the bond effect. New 8-bond effect added: 60% Spd Amplification. Gains 80% Damage Amplification and increases max skill point by 5 with a higher chance of winning 1 Special Prize when drawing, and better rewards are more likely to appear in the reward pool.

New Equipment

In addition to brand new characters and bond effects, several brand new equipment have been added:

– New Equipment: Trash Bag

– New Equipment: Golden Trash Bag

Brand New Mechanics & Investment Strategies

Another important change coming to the 4.0 update patch for Currency Wars is the various brand new mechanics and investment strategies as well as investment environment added to the game:

– Brand New Mechanic: Expert Advisor.

During a match, by using different Investment Environment and Strategies, players will be able to obtain special characters with the Expert tag. These Expert characters provide additional effects and buffs to existing Faction and Playstyle Bond effects. These characters function similarly to other normal characters, however, they need to be unlocked at the start first before they will show up in the shop for players to obtain and use during a match, The characters designated to be Expert Advisor characters are: Gallagher (Break), Qingque (Skill Point) and Tingyun (Energy).
