Honkai Star Rail 4.0 Second Phase Character Banners – Which Banner To Roll On

The second phase of Honkai Star Rail Version Update 4.0 starts on the 3rd of March, 2026 and lasts until the 24th of March, 2026. The second phase banners will feature the brand new 5-star Fire Elation Character Sparxie and the returning 5-star Wind Harmony Character Cerydra, the returning 5-star Imaginary Erudition Character Rappa and the returning 5-star Quantum Harmony Character Sparkle.

Sparxie

Sparkxie is a 5-star Fire Element character of the brand new path of Elation. Her skill kit focuses on her consuming as much Skill Point as possible to massively enhance the damage output of her Enhanced Basic Attack and boost the Elation Damage output of the team to maximize the Aha Instant damage.

Honkai Star Rail Sparxie

Sparkxie’s main gimmick lies in her Skill, which allows her to consume as many skill points as possible to enhance the damage output of her Enhanced Basic Attack while also generating as many Punchline stacks as possible for the team.

When using her skill, Sparkxie will consume skill points to randomly gain a set amount of Punchline and Skill Point while enhancing her Basic Attack, stacking up to 20 times. By doing this, she can unleash a massive amount of basic attack damage while also generating as many as 40 punchline stacks for the team, allowing the Aha Instant to deal massive damage. Additionally, the majority of her skill kit are further enhanced proportional to her own Elation Damage, allowing players to invest in boosting her Elation damage without sacrificing too much of her own personal damage.

Sparkxie shines best when there are other Elation characters in the team, allowing her to generate even more Punchline stacks for them when there are 3 Elation characters. While boosting her own Elation damage output, Sparkxie also provides a damage boost to allies and an overall damage boost to the entire team’s Elation damage, making her a very interesting character.

Pull Rating: 9/10. An Amazing Elation Enabler Character.

Sparxie is a character that serves as both a good Sub DPS Elation character and an Elation team enabler character that is capable of supporting the overall damage output of Elation teams. Sparxie’s main effect and gimmick of being able to grant Elation teams massive amounts of Punchline stacks at lowish cost makes her extremely valuable to have in any Elation team that relies on Punchline stacks to deal damage. She is a good investment character for the future Elation centric team comps.

Cerydra

Cerydra is a Wind Element Character following the path of the Harmony. She specializes in boosting the attack of a single ally’s Skill damage output, granting them special effects that duplicate their skill usage and can even supplement the team’s damage by being a sub DPS character herself with her talent.

Honkai Star Rail Cerydra

Cerydra’s main support gimmick lies in her Skill, which grants 1 ally on the field the special Military Merit buff, which have the maximum of 8 charges, with Cerydra gaining 1 charge for every Normal Attack and Skill used by the ally with Military Merit. When the amount of charges reaches 6, the ally will be granted the Coup de Main effect. Coup de Main duplicates and triggers a skill used by buffed ally, essentially works as a 2nd skill used back to back when the ally uses their skill. Please note that Coup de Main’s skill duplicate effect takes action before the character’s actual skill use and will retain every single buffed effect that the skill uses. She also grants the ally a speed increase and energy regen when they act.

Pull Rating: 7/10. A Decently Strong Support Character.

Cerydra is an overall amazing support character with immense potential to massively enhance the damage output of any character that relies on Skill Damage as their main damage source.

However, due to the overall lack of Skill Damage based characters and Cerydra’s awkward way to gain her stacks to enable her Skill Duplication effect and her restriction to only buff Skill damage, she falls short overall when compared to other support characters in the game.

Rappa

Rappa is a 5-star Character of the Imaginary Element and Erudition Path that specializes in dealing massive amounts of Break and Super Break damage to groups of enemies whenever she can activate her Ultimate.

Honkai Star Rail Rappa

Rappa’s main gimmick lies in her Ultimate, which allows her to massively enhance her attacks and allow her to hit all enemies at once. If she hits enemies in her Ultimate state, she will decrease the enemies’ Break Gauge regardless of elements and deal amazingly high Break and Super Break damage to enemies when they are put into the Break state.

Pull Rating: 7/10. An Overall Good Break Main DPS Character.

Rappa is one of the main Break Main DPS character in the game, capable of dealing amazing Super Break damage to all enemies on the field at the same time when she is supported properly. However, she is in contest with Firefly, one of the best Main DPS characters in the game, making her less valuable overall when compared in the same Break-centric team.

Sparkle

Sparkle is a 5-star Character of the Quantum Element and Harmony Path. She specializes in providing the entire team with a massive amount of Skill Point and an immense amount of damage buffs just by existing in the team.

Honkai Star Rail Sparkle

Sparkle’s main gimmick lies in her ability to provide the team with a large amount of Skill Point by increasing the maximum Skill Point limit of the team, recover massive amount of team skill point when her Ultimate is used and can even help store the team’s excess Skill Points when they exceed the maximum limit to be used later.

Additionally, Sparkle provides a massive amount of team damage, increases buff and can advance the action of an ally by using her Skill, helping to facilitate the main DPS character to move faster and is an integral part of any Skill Point centric teams.

Pull Rating: 9/10. An Extremely Versatile Character That Can Be Slotted Into Any Teams.

Sparkle is one of Honkai Star Rail’s few universal support characters capable of elevating the overall damage output and rotation of any team by having her in the team. While she doesn’t provide specifically high power buffs like characters like Sunday or Cerydra for specific characters, Sparkle makes up for this by being able to support almost any teams and especially Skill Point Hungry team with her amazing skill kit.

Honkai Star Rail 4.0 Second Phase Lightcone Banners – Which Banner To Roll On

Sparxie Signature Lightcone

Honkai Star Rail Sparxie Lightcone

Effect: Increases the wearer’s CRIT DMG by 48%. While the wearer is on the field, for every 1 Elation character in the team, increases the Skill Point upper limit by 1, up to a max increase of 3. For every 1 Skill Point the wearer consumes, enables the Elation DMG dealt by this unit to ignore 5% of enemy targets’ DEF, stacking up to 4 times. If 4 or more Skill Points are consumed in the same turn, the wearer gains “Stream Promo,” which increases all allies’ Elation by 20%. Light Cone effects of the same type cannot stack.

Pull Rating: 10/10 For Sparxie. 5/10 For Others

Sparxie’s signature Lightcone and her best in slot Lightcone as it not only allows her to massively boost her own Elation damage output but also provide a massive amount of damage increase for the entire team. Players should get this Lightcone to maximize both her damage and her Elation support effect.

For other Elation characters, this Lightcone only serves as a stat stick due to the requirement of consuming at least 4 Skill Points every turn, which makes it hard to be used overall.

Cerydra Signature Lightcone

Honkai Star Rail Cerydra Lightcone

Effect: Increases the wearer’s ATK by 64%. After using Ultimate to attack, recovers 1 Skill Point(s). After the wearer uses their Skill on one ally character, increases the Skill DMG dealt by the target by 54% for 3 turn(s).

Pull Rating: 10/10 For Cerydra. 3/10 For Other Characters.

Cerydra’s signature Lightcone massively boost her attack stat and allow her to maximize her Skill Damage buffing potential, so players should get it for her if you want to invest in her properly.

For other characters, this Lightcone is not that good since it provides a stat that most Harmony characters don’t really need and is too specific in both its Ultimate and Skill Damage buffing effects, rendering it unusable by other characters.

Rappa Signature Lightcone

Honkai Star Rail Rappa Lightcone

Effect: Increases the wearer’s Break Effect by 60%. When entering battle, immediately regenerates 30 Energy. After the wearer uses Ultimate, obtains “Raiton.” After using 2 Basic ATKs, advances the wearer’s action by 50% and removes “Raiton.” After the wearer uses Ultimate, resets “Raiton.”

Pull Rating: 10/10 For Rappa. 2/10 For Other Characters.

Rappa’s signature Lightcone and is almost her mandatory Lightcone if players want to invest in her properly to compete with Firefly in a Break Team. The lightcone provides her with a massive boost in Break Effect and massively improves her rotation by allowing her to use her Ultimate quickly at the start of battle and allow her to advance her own action when using her enhanced Basic attacks under Ultimate.

For other characters, as Rappa is the only main Break DPS character of the Erudition path, other characters can’t really make use of her Lightcone effect at all, so it is not worth rolling for it unless it is for Rappa.

Sparkle Signature Lightcone

Honkai Star Rail Sparkle Lightcone

Effect: Increases the wearer’s CRIT DMG by 32%. At the start of the battle, the wearer gains Mask, lasting for 3 turn(s). While the wearer has Mask, the wearer’s allies have their CRIT Rate increased by 10% and their CRIT DMG increased by 28%. For every 1 Skill Point the wearer recovers (including Skill Points that exceed the limit), they gain 1 stack of Radiant Flame. And when the wearer has 4 stacks of Radiant Flame, all the stacks are removed, and they gain Mask, lasting for 4 turn(s).

Pull Rating: 10/10 For Sparkle. 8/10 For Other Characters.

Sparkle’s signature lightcone helps provide the entire team with a massive critical rate and critical damage buff that can essentially be permanent as long as it is used on Sparkle on the field, making it a very powerful support Lightcone for Sparkle.

For other characters, this Lightcone is still one of the best generic Lightcone that can be used on any characters due to it providing Critical Damage to the wielder, a stat that many Harmony characters use, and its conditional effect is not that difficult to fulfill as well, making it a very good support Lightcone to have overall.

Conclusion

With such a variety of banners with both brand new characters and returning characters, players should prepare the most amount of pulls by topping up in Honkai Star Rail at a discounted price with the help of Enjoygm today!
