Honkai Star Rail 4.4 1st Phase Banners – Who To Roll For

The first phase of the 4.4 for Honkai Star Rail will begin on the 1st of June and last for a total of 3 weeks, with 4 different banners on rate up, featuring the Brand new 5-Star Fire Erudition character Himeko Nova, the returning 5-Star Fire Elation Character Sparxie, the returning 5-Star Physical Preservation Character Dan Heng Permansor Terrae and the returning 5-Star Ice Remembrance Character Evernight.

Himeko Nova

Himeko Nova is a 5-star character of the Fire Element and Erudition Path. She specializes in dealing special Assist Skill damage to all enemies when in the same team as other Trailblazing Companions, allowing her to quickly accumulate energy and activate her powerful Ultimate.

Honkai Star Rail Himeko Nova

Himeko Nova skill kit around her special Assist Skill and the ability to trigger Assist Skill when there are other Trailblazing Companions in the same team as her.

Himeko Nova’s main gimmick lies in her Skill and Talent, which allows Himeko Nova to grant all allies and herself special Assist Skills usage, which are treated as Skill uses. Upon using Assist Skills, Himeko Nova will deal AoE Fire damage to enemies and grants herself special buffs depending on the Trailblazing Companion that used the Assist Skill. When it is her turn, Himeko Nova can use her Skill to regain all Assist Skill usage to the team while also buffing the team’s overall damage output. Using Assist Skills will help Himeko Nova recover special Energy that is needed for her to use her Ultimate.

Upon accumulating enough energy, Himeko Nova will be able to summon a mech with her Ultimate and enter a special Zone. During this Ultimate Use, Himeko Nova will be able to choose between different attacks in order to gain or spend Source Energy to deal damage to enemies. Once she has used up all of her energy, Himeko Nova will deal a big instance of Fire damage to enemies and exit her Ultimate State.

Pull Rating: 9/10. A Powerful Hypercarry DPS Character

Himeko Nova is a brand new kind of Main DPS character that revolves around players using the different versions and characters from the Astral Express to help enable. The more Astral Express crew players have invested in, the more powerful Himeko Nova will become. She by herself is already a very powerful main DPS hypercarry character that players can consider rolling to make a full team centered around her as well.

Sparxie

Sparkxie is a 5-star Fire Element character of the brand new path of Elation. Her skill kit focuses on her consuming as much Skill Point as possible to massively enhance the damage output of her Enhanced Basic Attack and boost the Elation Damage output of the team to maximize the Aha Instant damage.

Honkai Star Rail Sparxie

Sparkxie’s main gimmick lies in her Skill, which allows her to consume as many skill points as possible to enhance the damage output of her Enhanced Basic Attack while also generating as many Punchline stacks as possible for the team.

When using her skill, Sparkxie will consume skill points to randomly gain a set amount of Punchline and Skill Point while enhancing her Basic Attack, stacking up to 20 times. By doing this, she can unleash a massive amount of basic attack damage while also generating as many as 40 punchline stacks for the team, allowing the Aha Instant to deal massive damage. Additionally, the majority of her skill kit are further enhanced proportional to her own Elation Damage, allowing players to invest in boosting her Elation damage without sacrificing too much of her own personal damage.

Sparkxie shines best when there are other Elation characters in the team, allowing her to generate even more Punchline stacks for them when there are 3 Elation characters. While boosting her own Elation damage output, Sparkxie also provides a damage boost to allies and an overall damage boost to the entire team’s Elation damage, making her a very interesting character..

Pull Rating: 8/10. A Powerful Elation Enabler and DPS Option.

Sparxie’s skill kit and abilities make her a very potent Elation character that can supply the team with a massive amount of Punchlines, helping to optimize the damage output of any Elation teams that utilize Punchlines. This, coupled with her own skill kit and damage output being reliant on Punchline stacks, makes Sparxie a very good Elation team enabler and Sub DPS/ Main DPS character.

Dan Heng Permansor Terrae

Dan Heng Permansor Terrae is a 5-Star Character of the Physical Element and Preservation Path. He specializes in granting powerful attack buffs to one ally while also providing constant shielding to the entire team and dealing supplemental damage to enemies.

Honkai Star Rail Dan Heng Permansor Terrae

Dan Heng Permansor Terrae’s main gimmick lies in his ability to assign his dragon familiar to the 1st slot character in the team, making the dragon be considered the ally’s summon and grants the ally special buffs. Whenever the dragon takes action, Dan Heng Permansor Terrae grants the entire team stackable shields that scales off his Attack stack, providing the team with powerful sustainability. Upon using his Ultimate, Dan Heng Permansor will deal a big instance of Physical damage to enemies and enhances his dragon, allowing it to deal damage to enemies whenever it acts the next 2 actions it takes.

Pull Rating: 9/10 One Of The Best Sustain Support Characters In The Game.

Dan Heng Permansor Terrae’s skill kit and abilities are extremely simple but effective, with him being able to not only grant amazing sustainability to the team but also buff up the most important DPS character in the team. This makes him a very crucial character that players should have for many different team comps in the game.

Evernight

Evernight is a 5-Star Character of the Ice Element and Remembrance Path. She specializes in dealing massive amounts of HP-based damage to enemies after consuming a large portion of her HP to set up.

Honkai Star Rail Evernight

Evernight’s main gimmick and damage lies in her ability to stack her special Memosprite stacks, which can be gained whenever she consumes her own HP to use her Skill. Upon accumulating enough stacks, the Memosprite will deal AoE Hp-based damage to all enemies and will disappear from the field. Upon using her Ultimate, Evernight will strengthen her Memosprite, allowing it to deal even more damage to enemies.

Pull Rating: 8/10 A Decently Powerful Sub-DPS Character.

Evernight’s main draw is her ability to constantly draw her own HP in order to fuel her Memosprite, making her a very good enabler for the HP-based damage gimmick of the Remembrance team. Aside from that, she is also a very strong DPS character capable of dealing powerful damage when set up right, making her a very decent character for players to consider rolling for.

Honkai Star Rail 4.4 2nd Phase Banners – Who To Roll For

The second phase of the 4.4 Update Patch for Honkai Star Rail will also last for 21 days, starting from the end of the first phase banners and lasting until the end of the update patch. This phase features 3 featured banners, with the return of 3 old characters: the 5-Star Wind Harmony Character Cerydra, the 5-Star Imaginary Preservation Character Aventurine and the 5-Star Wind Erudition Character Anaxa.

Cerydra

Cerydra is a Wind Element Character following the path of the Harmony. She specializes in boosting the attack of a single ally’s Skill damage output, granting them special effects that duplicate their skill usage and can even supplement the team’s damage by being a sub DPS character herself with her talent.

Honkai Star Rail Cedrydra

Cerydra’s main support gimmick lies in her Skill, which grants 1 ally on the field the special Military Merit buff, which have the maximum of 8 charges, with Cerydra gaining 1 charge for every Normal Attack and Skill used by the ally with Military Merit. When the amount of charges reaches 6, the ally will be granted the Coup de Main effect. Coup de Main duplicates and triggers a skill used by buffed ally, essentially works as a 2nd skill used back to back when the ally uses their skill. Please note that Coup de Main’s skill duplicate effect takes action before the character’s actual skill use and will retain every single buffed effect that the skill uses. She also grants the ally a speed increase and energy regen when they act.

Pull Rating: 7/10. A Powerful But Relatively Niche Support Character.

Cerydra’s gimmick and buffs makes her a very decently powerful support character for any Skill-Damage based teams. However, with how few Skill Damage DPS being able to take full advantage of her Skill buff and Skill reuse effect, Cerydra is relatively niche in usage when compared to other Harmony support characters.

Aventurine

Aventurine is a 5-Star Character of the Imaginary Element and Preservation Path. He specializes in constantly providing shields to the entire team and dealing follow up attacks to enemies upon enemies hitting his shield enough times.

Honkai Star Rail Aventurine

Aventurine’s main gimmick is simply to provide massive stackable shields to the entire team, allowing him to protect the team. Whenever enemies attack allies shielded by him, Aventurine will gain stacks of his passive, which can allow him to deal AoE Follow Up Attack to enemies when the stack reaches max. Upon using his Ultimate, Aventurine will deal a big instance of Imaginary damage to an enemy and inflict a debuff onto them, making them take more Critical damage by the team.

Pull Rating: 6/10 For General Use. 7/10 For Follow Up Teams

Aventurine used to be one of the game’s most powerful sustain characters. However, in recent meta, his usability has decreased overall due to the fact that he doesn’t provide enough utility or damage to the team, with Dan Heng Permansor Terrae filling the same role as him but with better buffs. Unless players really like him, it is not recommended to roll for Aventurine in the current meta.

Anaxa

Anaxa is a 5-Star Character of the Wind Element and Erudition Path. He specializes in dealing constant AoE Damage to all enemies and applying Elemental Weaknesses to enemies.

Honkai Star Rail Anaxa

Anaxa’s main gimmick lies in his Skill, which allows him to deal damage to all enemies and apply 1 temporary Weakness to all enemies. When an enemy has 5 or more elemental weaknesses, Anaxa will deal an additional instance of Skill damage whenever he uses his Skill on them. Upon using his Ultimate, Anaxa will deal AoE damage to all enemies, making them unable to move for 1 action and apply a state where they will be considered as having all elemental weaknesses.

Pull Rating: 8/10 A Decent AoE DPS Character.

Anaxa’s damage output and his ability to apply weaknesses to enemies make him a relatively unique character to have, with him being used in many different team comps as either a sub or a main DPS depending on the team comp. If players want to invest in a decently good Erudition character that can buff other Erudition characters, rolling for him is recommended.
