Honkai Star Rail All Upcoming 4.x Updates Characters – Everything You Need To Know

With the upcoming release of an entire brand new planet for Honkai Star Rail in the form of Planarcadia, a planet filled with Arts, Media and the place where the Elation Game takes place, players will be able to meet a whole host of brand new characters that partakes in this game to become Aha for 1 minute and have the chance to roll for these brand new characters.

Honkai Star Rail 4.0 Brand New Characters

The first patch of characters players can expect to roll for are the new characters releasing in version 4.0 update: the 5-star Physical Elation Character Yao Guang and the 5-star Fire Elation Character Sparxie.

Yao Guang is a 5-star Physical element character of the brand new special Elation Path. Yao Guang serves as a dedicated support character for the Elation Path team, with her abilities to boost the team’s overall Elation Damage Dealt and trigger an additional Aha Instant damage even when the Aha Instant have yet to arrive, allowing the Elation team to essentially trigger their gimmick for more damage more frequently.

Sparxie is a 5-star Fire Element character of the brand new path of Elation. Her skill kit focuses on her consuming as much Skill Point as possible to massively enhance the damage output of her Enhanced Basic Attack and boost the Elation Damage output of the team to maximize the Aha Instant damage.

Honkai Star Rail 4.1 Brand New Characters

For the 4.1 Update patch, the game will undergo a shorter 4 weeks patch update and will only be releasing a single brand new character: the 5-star Lightning Hunt Character Ashveil.

Ashveil is a 5-star character of the Lightning Element and Hunt Path. He specializes in dealing amazing constant Follow Up Attack against a single enemy then automatically moves on to other enemies when he manages to defeat his target. Ashveil is an amazing DPS character that can both deal amazing damage to enemies and also enable other Follow Up Attack characters by providing massive amounts of critical stat buffs, massively decreasing the enemies’ resistances and defenses and more. 

Ashveil will be releasing the 4.1 update patch with his rate up banner being available for the entirety of the update patch’s duration (4 weeks).

Honkai Star Rail 4.2 Brand New Characters

For the 4.2 Update Patch, Honkai Star Rail will enter its Anniversary Update Patch and will be releasing 2 brand new characters, with 1 of them being an extremely focused character, making them extremely valuable for players to have since they will most likely be the defining character for the upcoming meta of the game similar to Castorice, Phainon or Cyrene. 

The 2 brand new characters that will be releasing during Honkai Star Rail 4.2 Anniversary Update Patch will be Silver Wolf’s special Alternate version or Silver Wolf SP and the brand new character Evanescia. Neither of these characters’ element and path have been determined through leaks and datamine details, however, we do have some information on what their skill kit and role can be. Additionally, with the release of the 4.2 Update Patch, it is very likely that Elation Trailblazer will also be making their debut in the game.

From initial information and leaks, it is heavily suggested that both Silver Wolf SP and Evanescia are Main Elation DPS Characters, meaning both of them are very likely to be Elation Path characters that can be used in 2 different Elation teams depending on your team compositions. We also got some information on Silver Wolf SP’s skill kit, with information suggesting that she will be an Ultimate-centric character, with her Ultimate charging whenever the team generates Punchline stacks. It is heavily suggested that Silver Wolf SP will be the main push for the anniversary update patch with a skill kit that will define the Elation team meta going forward.

Aside from Silver Wolf SP, Evanescia is also suggested to be a main DPS Elation character that is not used in the same team as Silver Wolf SP, meaning the game expects players to build 2 Elation teams moving forward, with more Elation characters to come. Elation Trailblazer is suggested to be a Elation Sub DPS Support character capable of generating Punchline stacks for the team and should be used alongside Silver Wolf SP in the team.

Honkai Star Rail 4.3 Brand New Characters

From version 4.3 onward, the details of the upcoming characters are a bit less clear, however, we do have some slight information of the characters that might be releasing.

Firstly, recent leaked information suggests that version 4.3 will feature the release of 2 brand new characters – a Preservation character and a Erudition Character. Due to this fact and from old leaked information, it is heavily suggested that Pearl will be the Preservation character releasing in version 4.3 update.

As for the Erudition character, it should be an alternate version of Blade or Blade SP, however, it is very likely that his path might change to Elation depending on how the game’s direction entails. This Erudition character can also be Opal, which would make sense for an update patch to have 2 of the IPC Stonehearts characters rate up next to each other.

Honkai Star Rail 4.4 and Onwards Brand New Characters

From version 4.4 Update Patch onward for Honkai Star Rail, there are only a small selection of characters that will be released into the game:

– Himeko SP: We know for a fact that Himeko will be getting an alternate version or Himeko SP, with her most likely being the main focus on the 4.x update patches 2nd half. Little details are known for now about her role, however, players should prepare funds in advance since she will be a focused character that will most likely change the game’s meta again.

– Blade SP: Depending on the schedule, Blade SP will probably be released either in version 4.3 update patch or 4.4 onward. It is very likely that Blade will be an Elation character to go alongside Silver Wolf SP.

– Nihilux: Nihilux is a character that is teased by the official media of the game and seems to be an important character for the game. From leaked information, it is heavily suggested that she will be released either in version 4.4 Update or further update patches.

– Pearl and Opal: As mentioned, it is very likely that Pearl and Opal will be making their debut during version 4.3 update patch, however, if they aren’t they will eventually be released from version 4.4 update patch onward.

– Sampo SP, Mysterious Galaxy Ranger, Beatriz, Stephen Lloyd: These characters make quick appearances during the story trailer for Planarcadia and are suggested to be characters that will partake in the story of this planet, so it is likely that they might become playable. However, there is yet to be any information on their playability.

– Mr. Reca and Screwllum: No information on when either of these characters will be available to play yet, however, old information suggests that they will eventually become playable.
