Releasing directly after the anniversary update patch for Punishing Gray Raven and at the end of the Liv:Limpidity banner, our next rate up S Rank Character for the game’s upcoming update patch will be the S Rank Frame for Teddy, known as Teddy:Spectre.

Class And Role

Teddy: Spectre is an S Rank Construct of the Amplifier Class. She deals Ice Elemental damage and her affix is Raydiance, the same affix as Bianca: Crepuscule. She functions as a support/ sustain character for both the Ice Elemental and Raydiance Affix teams, with her kit revolving around performing fighting games moves against the enemies when she is on field.

Teddy: Spectre is expected to fill the same role as Ayla: Kaleido in the Ice Elemental team and will completely replace Ayla for future contents. Additionally, for the Raydiance team, she is expected to be the team’s sole support character. Teddy: Spectre’s overall damage output is yet to be determined clearly, so it is still up for debate whether or not she can fill the role of a Main or Sub DPS in the Ice Elemental and Raydiance team just yet.

Gameplay Analysis

Teddy: Spectre’s gameplay revolves around pinging different color orbs in order to fill up her special color bar to the max. Upon reaching max 3 color bar with bear symbols, she can unleash her Ultimate to deal big Ice Elemental damage to enemies. Upon first activation of her Ultimate, she will turn the entire field into her gaming domain, allowing her to deal enhanced damage and amplify the damage of other characters in the team.

Her gameplay rotation seems relatively simple. First, upon entering the fight, all of her orbs will be converted into special white orbs. Upon pinging 2 sets of 3-ping white orbs, Teddy will gain a special Red Orb that can be triggered, granting her special Ultimate Energy, enough for her to activate her first ult and enter her special domain.

While in her ultimate domain, Teddy will constantly gain sets of 3 White orbs. Every 2 sets of 3-ping White Orbs she does, Teddy will gain a special Yellow, Blue or Red Orbs randomly that can be used to deal damage to enemies and fill up her color orb gauge. Once she has all 3 different color orb gauges filled up, Teddy can unleash her 2nd ultimate, dealing massive Ice damage to enemies and exit her Ultimate domain. 

Teddy Signature Memory Set

Alongside Teddy: Spectre releases, a memory set will also be available for players to obtain to use on her:

2-pcs: ATK increases by 5%. Ice DMG and Raydiance DMG increases by 5%.

4-pcs: Damage dealt by Sparkling Persistence increases by 125%. Damage dealt by Barrier Rift is doubled

How To Obtain Teddy: Spectre

Currently, there are two known ways players will be able to obtain Teddy: Spectre during the upcoming update patch:

The first way is through the usual Character Arrival Rate Up Banner during her Update Patch, where players can obtain her at a 100% rate up chance during the her rate up banner at 60 pity. Her signature Weapon and CUB will also be available for players to roll on during this time. Afterwards, to obtain Teddy: Spectre, players will need to wait at least 2 update patches before she is added to the permanent pool in the game to have a chance to obtain her through banners again.

The second and more important way players can obtain Teddy: Spectre during the update patch is through the brand new special limited Service Shop. During the update patch, special service missions will be available for players to clear in order to obtain special Service Certificates. These Certificates can then be used to exchange for 1 free copy of Teddy: Spectre, 1 free copy of her Signature Weapon and 1 free copy of her CUB. This means that as long as you finish all of the service missions during the update patch, you can obtain a fully built Teddy: Spectre for free.

Should You Invest In Teddy: Spectre

Aside from the free copy that players can obtain during her update patch, many players might be wondering if she is worth investing more into by rolling for extra copies to ascend her further.

Generally speaking, as an Amplifier character, Teddy: Spectre should be invested heavily into, with her best investment point stopping at SSS, for the maximum damage boost her class provides. Additionally, at SS and SS3, Teddy’s damage output is increased significantly in addition to gaining a slight boost in her buffing capabilities.

Therefore, since players can obtain 1 copy of Teddy for free and can spend Pain Cage Skulls to obtain 50 extra chards, getting her to SS Rank completely for free, it is recommended that you get at least 1 more copy of her from her rate up banner to get her to SS3 to maximize her damage output and boost her buff effects a bit more.
