Reverse: 1999 Version Update 3.3 – Everything To Expect

Main Story Chapter Update

The first major update for the game comes in the form of the brand new main story chapter coming with the brand new version update patch 3.3 – The Campaign’s Tale.

The main story chapter will involve the brand new characters Marsha and Igor and allow players to explore the team’s brand new adventure into another brand new territory.

Like with other main story chapters, the chapter will be available permanently after its release in version update 3.3 and players who have not experienced the previous story chapters will be able to experience the A Long Long Way Main Story chapter without having to unlock it for a limited time during the version 3.3 update patch.

Additionally, if players are to play the main story chapter during the update patch’s duration, they will be able to obtain special currencies while clearing the chapter’s stages to exchange in the special limited time available shop for special items and character upgrading materials.

Therefore, it is highly recommended that you clear the main story during the version update 3.3 duration to be able to obtain the special currencies while also being able to obtain currencies that can be used to roll for the characters on banner.

Special Limited Time Missions & Exchange Shop

The special currency can be gained from using stamina on all stages in the game, with the currency to stamina ratio being converted to 1:1, allowing you to gain currency even when you farm for materials on lower stages. However, if you spend your stamina clearing the brand new main story chapter 12, you will gain additional special currencies from these stages upon their first clear and upon farming these stages, making it more efficient overall to farm the brand new main chapter stages.

The exchange shop will have important items, including the limited time Psychubes for the brand new characters – Marsha and Igor, special upgrading materials, event exclusive island themes and more. So be sure to pick them up in the shop while you can.

Log In Events & Special Rewards Campaigns

Throughout the Version Update 3.3 – A Long Long Way, players will be able to obtain amazing rewards simply by logging in thanks to several amazing log-in campaigns. 

The flog-in campaign is the usual Reverse:1999 log-in campaign for each version update, allowing players to obtain a total of 14 unilogs for free once you have logged in for a total of 14 days during the version update period. The rewarding period will be divided into 2 different periods: 

The first period begins from the start of the version update until the end of the first character rate up banner and the second period begins right at the start of the 2nd character rate up banner until the end of the version update patch, each period rewarding 7 Unilogs for logging in for 7 days during each period.

Euphoria Buffs To Old Characters

Another thing players can look forward to during the version update 3.3 for Reverse:1999 is the various character buffs for old characters through the special Euphoria system. This time, the characters that will receive Euphoria buffs are An-an Lee and Mercuria.

Players can experience these brand new changes and buffs for these old characters and obtain special growth materials and stamina-recovering items such as candies through the Euphoria and Ludicity event as well.

Brand New Characters

With the version update patch 3.3, 2 brand new characters will be introduced into the game in the form of 6* characters – Marsha and Igor

Marsha is a 6-star Arcanist of the Beast Afflatus, whose primary playstyle revolves around enabling the Burn and Lingering Glow team through her ability to apply large amount of burn debuffs on enemies while healing and granting shield to allies based on the amount of Burn and Lingering Glow effect accumulated.

Marsha serves as the sustain character for the Lingering Glow team, helping to facilitate the team’s playstyle while keeping the team alive long enough for the Lingering Glow effect to deal amazing damage to enemies.

She will release alongside her own rate up banner – at the start of version 3.3 and for a total of 3 weeks until the 26th of March, 2026.

Igor is a 6-star Arcanist of the Beast afflatus whose gimmick and skill kit revolves around his special Ultimate effect which can be triggered constantly thanks to it being considered as Follow Up Attack. He is a brand new pioneer character of an entirely brand new Ultimate based team alongside specific characters in the game like Lopera and Moldir to utilize different effects such as bullets, Shrapnels and more.

Igor will be released alongside his rate up banner right after Marsha’s rate up banner during the later 3 weeks of Version 3.3 update, from March 27th until April 16th, 2026.

Special Brand New Character Exclusive Story

Alongside their releases, both Marsha and Igor will get special character side story events releasing during their rate up banner release duration.

Both of these special side stories will allow players to experience the brand new characters Marsha and Igor in special combat stages in order to complete missions and obtain special rewards that allow players to upgrade these characters specifically.

Additionally, players will be able to playtest these characters in their optimal teams: Lingering Glow and Ultimate alongside their best teammates, so if you want to roll for and play these brand new characters, players can take note of these teams in order to make the best teams for these new characters.

Special Rate Up Banners

Alongside the rate up banners for the two brand new characters Marsha and Igor, several special banners will also be available for players to spend their rolls on:

The first special banner available during this update patch is the Ripples on The Water Limited Time Banner, which allows players to pick one 6* characters among the available 6* characters in the permanent pool to be on rate up. The first time players obtain a 6* character on the banner, the 6* character obtained will be guaranteed to be the selected 6*. Players can freely change the rate up character on the banner at anytime during the banner’s duration, however, the guaranteed 6* picked characters will only be applied once for the entirety of the banner’s duration.

The second rate up banner available during this update patch is the Yearning of the Water rate up banner, featuring the return of the 6-star Arcanist Sentinel and the 6-star Arcanist Charon with the first 30 pulls enjoying a special discount offer, from 10 pulls per multi down to 8 pulls per multi. Please note that the pity for this banner is separate from other normal rate up banners, so the pity won’t carry over to other banners. The rated up characters will have 70% chance of appearing when a 6* character is pulled during the banner’s duration.
