Inheritance Analysis

Additionally to her skills and abilities, her inheritance level will also affect Igor’ performance in a team:

RankEffectsAnalysis
1Precognition
Increases Max Moxie and the Moxie Cost to cast Ultimate. Igor doesn’t generate an Ultimate, but at the end of the round, will consume all available Moxie to cast an Ultimate. This cast is not affected by [Control].
Insight I
When allies cast Ultimate, Igor gains Moxie and inflicts stacks of [Shrapnel] on all enemies. Depending on the number of [Beast] allies, increase the number of [Shrapnel] stacks inflicted on the primary target when casting [Unfading Twilight]. When an ally performs a 1-target attack, inflict additional stacks of [Shrapnel] on the target.
If Lopera is in the party, her Critical DMG is increased and she inflicts stacks of [Burn] before attacking. Upon casting Ultimate, she distributes [Ritual Bullet]s/[Incantation Bullet]s to allies in front and behind her.
If Moldir is in the party, her and Igor’s excess Moxie is temporarily stored, refilling at the end of the turn if they have space. Upon casting Ultimate, she grants Moxie to herself and Igor while inflicting stacks of [Shrapnel] on all enemies.
Igor’s core ability which allows his Ultimate to be automatically triggered and deal amazing damage to enemies.
This ability also enables his main effects, being bullets and shrapnels. Additionally, this ability grants Lopera and Moldir special effects when Igor is in the same team as them.
2ATK +5% when the caster enters battle.Increases Igor’s attack to optimize his damage output.
3Upon entering combat, Moxie +2. Gains additional +1 Moxie per [Beast] Afflatus Ally present, up to +2.An amazing ability to grant Igor his much needed moxie for him to use his Ultimate much earlier.

Igor Playstyle And Combat Role Analysis

Igor serves as a very special main DPS character that is the main focus of an entirely brand new type of Ultimate based team, where Igor can auto activate his Ultimate at the end of the turn like a Follow Up Attack unlike other characters who need to put their Ultimate in the Incantation slot to use, taking precious resources.

Igor’s main gameplay revolves around 2 effects: his powerful bullet effects and his Shrapnel debuffs on enemies. Upon using his buff skill Igor will load his skill with different types of Bullets, with each bullet having different type of effects upon using, allowing him to deal Mass damage to all enemies while also inflicting negative effects into enemies and gain beneficial effects for himself. Upon attacking enemies, Igor will inflict Shrapnel debuffs onto the enemies. The more Shrapnel he inflicts, the more damage he will deal overall.

Igor’s main damage comes from his Ultimate, which allows him to deal AoE damage to all enemies and trigger the Shrapnel effects on enemies based on the amount of Shrapnel stacks on enemies. When other allies in the team use Ultimate on enemies, Igor himself will gain Moxie and inflict Shrapnel stacks on enemies, with the more Beast Affaltus allies in the team granting him more powerful effects and allow him to inflict more Shrapnel on enemies. Once Igor’s Moxie is at maxed and his Ultimate available, he will automatically use his Ultimate at the end of the turn, allowing him to deal massive amounts of damage to enemies while detonating the Shrapnels on enemies to deal even more damage to them.

Additionally, Igor has special interactions with 2 other 6-star Arcanists that he wants to be in the same team as him, with his effect boosting the effects of Lopera and Moldir, with both serving as amazing teammates to Igor as well.

Best Psychubes And Resonance Build

Best Psychubes

As a main DPS character that focuses on dealing Ultimate damage, Igor wants Psychubes that boost his overall damage output while also boosting his Ultimate damage output specifically.

The best Psychube for Igor is his signature Psychube:

Across The Acheron
EffectUpon entering combat, for each [Beast] ally present (including the wearer), the wearer gains +4% Ultimate Might (stacks up to 4 times). At the start of the round, for each type of [Bullet] the wearer has, they gain +2% DMG Dealt (stacks up to 6 times) for 1 round.
AnalysisIgor’s signature Psychubes that massively boost his ultimate might and overall damage output after he has gained all 6 of his special bullets.

For alternative Psychubes, players can consider using these options until you get his Signature Psychubes:

The Final Roll
EffectWhen the carrier attacks, for each point of Moxie held, the attack gains Ultimate Might +1.2%.
If the carrier is of the [Mineral] afflatus, for each point of Moxie consumed, gain Critical DMG +1%, stacks up to 16 times.
AnalysisA decent Psychube that boosts Igor’s Ultimate damage output.

Resonance Build

For Igor, as a main DPS character, he wants a Resonance built that boosts his overall damage output and Ultimate might be as high as possible.

Reverse:1999 Igor Resonance Build

Build Code: APQkOAU4RStENFI0UCgxQAQrAz8CPRBDAEYh

Players should use the Elucidation piece to maximize Igor’s Ultimate might and critical damage output.

Rolling Recommendation

Should You Roll For Igor

It Depends. While Igor is a very interesting character that can help players to make a brand new type of Ultimate based team in Reverse:1999, the fact that he relies on a lot of different important factors such as good supporting characters and specific other 6-star Arcanists like Lopera and Moldir make it so that he is very restrictive in terms of team building for players to be able to achieve his full damage potential.

Not to mention, despite being relatively strong in his own right, with his damage output rivaling that of other highend teams, Igor’s teammates are currently too old fashion and does not provide enough powerful effects compared to other supports character in the game right now, making it extremely hard for an Igor team to compete directly with other teams like the Bloodtithe or the Dynamo teams. Therefore, if players want to, they can roll for Igor as an investment for a future Ultimate team. However, only consider this if you have Moldir and Lopera already in your roster.

Should You Roll For Extra Igor Portraits

As a main DPS character, Igor’s Portraits directly influence his overall damage output, so if players want to optimize his damage output to the fullest, rolling for his Portraits is highly recommended.

Igor’s damage output increases with P1, P3 and P5, with P5 being the most powerful investment point but is also the costliest one, therefore, for low spender, players can consider getting him to P1 to help boost his overall damage output by a decent amount.
