Wuthering Waves Version 3.4 Rate Up Banners – Which Banner To Roll On

Unlike the usual Wuthering Waves Banner schedules, the Wuthering Waves version 3.4 Update will only last for a total of 31 days and will feature a total of 4 Rate Up Banners, with 2 Limited Rate Up Collaboration Resonator Banners for the 5-star Collaboration Spectro Pistol Resonator Lucy and the 5-star Collaboration Electro Pistol Resonator Rebecca, lasting for the entirety of the update patch.

Aside from that, a brand new 5-Star Resonator will also be making her debut in the game in the form of the 5-Star Glacio Rectifier Resonator Lucilla and the return of the 5-Star Aero Sword Resonator Caterthyia.

Lucy

Lucy is a Limited Collaboration 5-star Resonator of the Cyberpunk x Wuthering Waves Collaboration Event. She is a 5-Star Spectro Resonator that wields pistols as her main weapons. She specializes in the new type of mechanic unique only to her – Tune Hack and has the ability to deal massive amounts of Heavy Attack damage to enemies while also utilizing her special Algorithm Compaction for various effects.

Wuthering Waves Lucy

Lucy’s skill kit revolves around her special TCP points and her Algorithm Compaction state. In essence, she serves as a heavy attack damage dealer with the ability to inflict the special unique effect known as Tune Hack and is capable of utilizing different tools and effects to not only hinder enemies but also boost her and her team’s damage output.

When attacking enemies, Lucy will accumulate points that gradually reach 100%. Once her points reach 100%, Lucy will be able to use her enhanced Resonance Skill to enter her Algorithm Compaction Mode. In this mode, all of Lucy’s damage will be massively enhanced and she will continuously accumulate TCP points that can be spent to enhance her Heavy Attack and Resonance Skill Damage Output. Additionally, during this mode, Lucy will be able to inflict Tune Hack onto enemies, dealing Hack damage to them.

Upon accumulating enough energy, Lucy will be able to use her Resonance Liberation, which has 2 different modes: her initial Resonance Liberation allows her to pull up a special menu that lets her choose different effects to both debuff the enemies, dealing damage to them or to buff up the team. These effects can be triggered by spending RAM that Lucy can accumulate throughout the battle.

Pull Rating: 10/10 For Collection Purpose, 7/10 For Meta Reasons.

As a Limited Collaboration Resonator, it is a no-brainer that players should try and roll for her to have her as a collection Resonator in your account as it is very unlikely that she will make a comeback once her banner is gone. That being said, in terms of meta-relevancy, Lucy is relatively weaker when compared to the new generation of DPS characters released in Lahai-Roi, with her damage output being quite lackluster and her over-reliant on her Signature weapon to be able to deal good damage. Additionally, since the Tune Hack mechanic is unique to only her and Rebecca, it is very unlikely that they will be receiving further support in endgame contents in the future once the collaboration period ends.

Rebecca

Rebecca is a Limited Collaboration 5-star Resonator of the Cyberpunk x Wuthering Waves Collaboration Event. She is a 5-Star Resonator of the Electro Element and wields Pistols as her main weapon. She specializes in dealing Normal Attack Damage to enemies by switching between two different modes to accumulate resources and then spend those resources to deal powerful Electro damage to enemies. She can also inflict Tune Hack Shifting to enemies and boost the damage output of other Cyberpunk characters.

Wuthering Waves Rebecca

Rebecca’s skill kit revolves around switching between her two different modes in order to constantly bombard enemies with basic attacks in order to accumulate resources and deal powerful Electro damage to enemies.

Rebecca has 2 different modes that players can switch between: Huntress Mode and Guts Mode. Huntress Mode works as a more concentrated attack mode, where players will be able to focus her basic attacks more, while Guts mode will instead spray her attacks, allowing her to deal damage in a wide area and deal with smaller mob enemies. When in either mode, whenever Rebecca deals damage to enemies, she will accumulate special Forte Gauge energy depending on the mode. Once she has accumulated enough energy, she will enter a special state where her damage is massively enhanced and allow her to be immune to enemies’ interruption.

Pull Rating: 0/10 Unless You Want Extra Copies.

Rebecca, as a limited Collaboration Resonator, is a very limited character that players should have in their account simply for collection purposes. And luckily, during the update patch, all players can get Rebecca completely for free by logging in, therefore, rolling on her banner is not recommended unless players want to get extra copies of her since the Collaboration Banners’ pity doesn’t carry over.

Lucilla

Lucilla is a 5-Star Resonator of the Glacio Element and uses a Rectifier as her main weapon type. She specializes in inflicting Glacio Chafe onto the enemies and helping to enable the Glacio Chafe team. Lucilla also has the ability to switch between 2 different modes – Glacio Chafe and Echo Skill Damage, allowing her to serve as an enabler sub DPS character for both the Glacio Chafe and Echo Skill Damage teams.

Wuthering Waves Lucilla

Lucilla’s skill kit revolves around using her basic Attacks and Resonance Skill to generate Traces to fill up her Forte Gauge and allow her to deal more damage to enemies while inflicting Glacio Chafe or Echo Damage onto enemies.

Lucilla has the ability to switch between 2 different modes: Glacio Chafe and Echo Skill Damage and her skill kit’s effects will change depending on which mode she is in. By using her attacks, Lucilla will generate Traces points, every 50 Traces points will grant Lucilla a Photo stack, up to 3 different Photo Stacks. While having Photo stacks, whenever Lucilla uses her 3rd hit of Basic Attack, she will consume 1 Photo stack to enhance her damage output and trigger Oblivion, dealing more Glacio damage to enemies. If in Glacio Chafe mode, her damage is considered Basic Attack damage, if in Echo Skill Damage Mode, her damage is considered Echo Skill Damage.

Pull Rating: 10/10 If You Have Hiyuki. 8/10 Otherwise

Lucilla mainly serves as a sub DPS and support character for both the Glacio Chafe and Echo Skill Damage teams depending on which mode she is in, making her a very good support character capable of being used in both teams to great effects, with her support capabilities being very high and her damage output being decently good as well.

That being said, Lucilla supports 2 relatively niche team comps that require very specific characters to make work, making her very team-reliant. Therefore, if players do not want to build these teams, it is not recommended to get Lucilla.

Cartethyia

Cartethyia is a 5-star Resonator of Aero element. She wields a shortsword as her main weapon type and specializes in dealing massive amounts of damage as the main damage dealer in the team when up against enemies inflicted with Aero Erosion.

Wuthering Waves Cartethyia

Cartethyia is a Main DPS Hypercarry character that has a very dynamic skill kit that allows her to deal massive amounts of combo damage against enemies inflicted with the special negative status Aero Erosion.

Cartethyia’s Forte Gauge allows her to gain 3 different types of swords depending on the different action she performs during her combo string: 1 sword when she perform her final basic attack string, 1 sword when she uses her Resonance Skill and 1 sword when she perform a mid-air attack or intro skill. When all 3 swords are gained, Cartethyia can perform an enhanced instance of damage dealing massive amounts of damage and recovering her Resonance Liberation gauge.

Cartethyia’s damage output scales off her Max HP and she especially excels at dealing damage against enemies inflicted with Aero Erosion Negative Status, making her the prime Main DPS Hypercarry character of the Aero team that can inflict Aero Erosion.

Pull Rating: 9/10. A Still Very Strong Main DPS Carry.

Despite being relatively old in terms of the meta, Cartethyia is still very powerful with her skill kit being able to clear most contents in the game with her being the team’s main hypercarry main DPS character. That being said, since Cartethyia’s skill kit is reliant on Aero Erosion and scales off her Max HP, she is very team restrictive and requires heavy investment to make work properly, therefore, players should consider if they want to invest in Cartethyia team fully before rolling for her.

Conclusion
