Wuthering Waves 3.5 Selector Banner – Everything You Need To Know
What Is The Wuthering Waves 3.5 Selector Banner
During the Version 3.5 Update For Wuthering Waves, a special banner known as the Reverb Resonator Convene banner will be available for the entire patch’s duration for players to roll on, featuring old Limited 5-Star Resonators that players will be able to pick as the rate up character and roll for to obtain for limited time.

This banner is treated as a completely special banner, meaning its pity count will not affect other Limited Character Rate Up Banners’ Pity count and its pity count will only carry over between similar Reverb Resonator Convene banners. This means that if players roll on this banner, the pity of the banner will not be counted towards other banners like the Yangyang: Xuanling banner or other rerun character rate up banners.
The rate up for this banner is determined by the player themselves, with the players being able to choose which of the Limited 5-Star Resonator among the selection to be the rate up Resonator. Otherwise, the rules of the rate up banner is similar to other Resonator Rate Up Banners, with the players needing to content with the 50/50 upon rolling a 5-Star on the banner for the first time.
For this special selector banner, an additional campaign will also be available for players, with the more players rolling on this special banner, the more Limited Character Pulls will be rewarded, with a total of up to 30 Pulls being refunded if players roll enough times on the banner. Additionally, the first 10-Pull on this Rate Up Selector Banner will be completely free, allowing players to test out this banner.
The characters being available to roll for during the 3.5 Selector Banner includes: the 5-Star Aero Broadblade Resonator Jiyan, the 5-Star Spectro Broadblade Resonator Jinshi, the 5-Star Fusion Sword Resonator Changli, the 5-Star Electro Rectifier Resonator Yinlin, the 5-Star Glacio Rectifier Resonator Zhezhi and the 5-Star Electro Gauntlets Resonator Xiangli Yao.
Should You Roll
This banner type essentially serves as a discounted ways for players to roll and obtain the Limited available 5-Star Resonators from the 1.x patches of the game, which are impossible to obtain nowadays due to them not having dedicated rerun rate up banners anymore. Therefore, if players want to obtain these characters for collection purposes or if you really like these characters, rolling on this banner is recommended as this is the only way to obtain these Resonators for now. Additionally, the banner also refunds a portion of the pulls you spend upon reaching certain milestones, so the cost of rolling for these Resonators will also be lessened somewhat.
That being said, if you have no desire to roll for these old Limited 5-Star Resonators, rolling on this banner is not recommended as the banner does not share the same pity as the usual Resonator Rate Up Banners, meaning you won’t be able to build pity using this banner if you don’t get a 5-Star Resonator.
Wuthering Waves 3.5 Selector Banner – Best Resonators To Roll For
Now that we have decided whether of not the 3.5 Selector Banner is worth rolling for, here’s an overall analysis on the Resonators on the banner for players to determine which these characters is worth the rolls:
Jiyan
Jiyan is a 5-Star Resonator of the Aero Element and wields a broadblade as his main weapon. He specializes in dealing constant Heavy Attack damage to enemies by gathering them together when enhanced with his Resonance Liberation.

Jiyan’s main gameplay revolves around quickly filing up his Forte Gauge to use his enhanced Resonance Skill to gain Resonance Liberation energy. Upon activating his Resonance Liberation, Jiyan’s Normal Attacks will be considered Heavy Attacks and will be massively enhanced, allowing him to gather enemies and deal damage in a wide area.
Pull Rating: 7/10. A Decently Good Aero DPS Character
Despite being the very first ever Limited Resonator in the game, Jiyan’s performance as a DPS character for the Aero element is still quite decent thanks to his ability to easily group enemies and deal constant damage to them. Players can roll Jiyan as a temporary Aero DPS character as he is one of the few Aero Main DPS characters in the game that also doesn’t require much investment.
Jinhsi
Jinhsi is a 5-Star Resonator of the Spectro Element that wields a Broadblade as her main weapon. She specializes in dealing powerful Spectro Resonance Skill damage to enemies once she has filled her Forte Gauge.

Jinhsi’s gameplay revolves around dealing damage to enemies in order to fill her Forte Gauge, which will allow her to use her Enhanced Resonance Skill on enemies, dealing a big instance of Spectro damage to them. Upon using her Resonance Liberation, Jinhsi will also be able to deal a big instance of Spectro damage to enemies.
Pull Rating: 5/10. An Overall Outdated DPS Character
Despite her skill kit being relatively simple yet still yields decently high damage, Jinhsi is relatively considered a very outdated DPS character in the modern meta, with her requiring way too much investment to deal good enough damage and requires a lot of time to ramp up her skill kit, making her not that desirable as a DPS character for players to roll for.
Changli
Changli is a 5-Star Resonator of the Fusion element and wieds a sword as her main weapon. She specializes in dealing quick bursts of Fusion damage to enemies with her Resonance Skill and Normal Attacks and swap out to grant powerful buffs to allies.

Upon attacking with Changli enough times, she will accumulate her Forte charges, allowing her to unleash her powerful Normal Attack, dealing Fusion damage to enemies and recover Concerto energy for her, allowing her to quickly swap out with other Resonators to grant them her powerful Outro skill buffs.
Pull Rating: 7/10. A Niche But Still Decent Sub DPS Support Resonator.
Changli is a relatively special case in the modern meta, with her skill kit being relatively outdated nowadays and she herself not dealing enough damage to warrant being called a Sub DPS character. However, Changli is still being used in a variety of Fusion exclusive quickswap team comp due to her incredibly useful Outro Skill buffs and the unique nature of the Mono Fusion Quickswap teamcomp, making her a still somewhat useful Resonator to have in the game’s current meta if players knows how to perform the Mono Fusion quick swap team properly.
Yinlin
Yinlin is a 5-Star Resonator of the Electro Element and uses a Rectifier as her main weapon type. She specializes in dealing off-field Electro damage to enemies and granting the entire team beneficial buffs.

Yinlin’s main gameplay revolves around constantly attacking enemies to fill up her Forte Gauge and allow her to unleash her Forte Attack, marking enemies. Once marked, enemies will take periodic Electro damage from Yinlin even when she is not on the field.
Pull Rating: 4/10. An Very Niche and Outdated Off-field Sub DPS and Support Character
Despite used to being one of the best support characters in the game, Yinlin has unfortunately fallen from grace by a large margin due to her lackluster off-field damage to enemies and her low buff amounts to the team when compared to more modern options, making her completely outclassed in the modern meta of the game.
Zhezhi
Zhezhi is a 5-Star Resonator of the Glacio Element and wields a Rectifier as her main weapon. She specializes in quickly dealing Glacio damage to enemies on the field to recover her Concerto and Resonance Energy to activate her Resonance Liberation to initiate Coordinated attacks with an ally when she switches out, dealing off-field Glacio damage.

Zhezhi’s main gimmick lies in her ability to quickly take the field and summon her familiars with her Forte Gauge and Resonance Liberation, then switches out to grant the active characters buffs and deal coordinated attacks with them even when she is off-field.
Pull Rating: 5/10. An Very Niche and Outdated Off-field Sub DPS and Support Character
A somewhat similar case to Yinlin, Zhezhi’s main problem is that her buffs and coordinated attack damage are way too low when compared to modern meta characters, making her not as good of a support/ Sub DPS character. That being said, Zhezhi is slightly better than Yinlin since she has overall better modifiers, better buffs and overall easier to use skill kit.
Xiangli Yao
Xiangli Yao is a 5-Star Resonator of the Electro Element and wields Gauntlets as his main weapons. He specializes in dealing Resonance Liberation damage to enemies when entering his special damage mode.

Xiangli Yao’s main gameplay revolves around dealing damage to enemies to fill his forte gauge to unleash special Resonance Skill and recover Resonance Liberation Energy. Upon using his Resonance Liberation, Xiangli Yao will enter a special mode where all of his attacks are considered Resonance Liberation damage and he will deal more damage overall.
Pull Rating: 0/10 If You Got Him For Free Previously. 4/10, A Very Outdated Main DPS character.
Xiangli Yao, as a main DPS character, is unfortunately very outdated in terms of both skill kit and damage output, making him a completely out meta character that players shouldn’t consider spending their rolls on.
