Therefore, let’s have a good look into the leaked information for Zenless Zone Zero version 3.0. Please keep in mind that since this is leaked information, despite being from a trusted source, this information is subject to change and can be greatly altered when the official release of the character is out, so take this information with a grain of salt.
3rd Season Brand New Main Story Quest
With the release of version 3.0 update patch, the 3rd season of the game’s main story will begin, with the players accompanying our main characters in Roscaelifer, a brand new region with floating islands.
Here, players will be able to meet a whole host of brand new characters that will accompany us in the brand new season, many of which will eventually become playable as Agents.

Brand New Playable Agents
Coming with the release of the 3.0 Update Patch, players will have the chance to roll for and add 2 brand new S Rank Agents into their roster – the S-Rank Ice Anomaly Specialty Agent Velina and the S-Rank Physical Rupture Specialty Agent Norma.
Velina is an upcoming S Rank Agent of the Anomaly Specialty and the brand new element coming to Zenless Zone Zero – the Wind Element. She specializes in dealing constant Wind damage to enemies in order to trigger the different Wind Attribute Anomaly Effects while also summoning Cyclones to aid her in the battle.

Velina skill kit revolves around constantly summoning different types of Cyclones onto the field in order to transform the Cyclone into different types of elemental cyclones that reduces the enemies’ Attribute Anomaly Resistances of both the Wind attribute and the corresponding Attribute, helping her to deal damage to the enemies and trigger Abloom.
Velina’s skill kit main goal is to summon cyclones using her EX Special Attack, which can be triggered whenever she accumulates enough stacks of energy by attacking enemies on the field. When cyclones are summoned, if they come into contact with enemies under Attribute Anomaly Effects, they will transform and deal both Wind and the corresponding Attribute Anomaly Element damage to enemies, reducing their Anomaly Resistances of the corresponding element. Upon the cyclones disappearing, they will trigger an explosion, dealing Wind damage to enemies. If the enemies are under the Wind Attribute Anomaly effect, this damage will trigger an Abloom damage effect instead, dealing even more damage to enemies.
The more Vortex and Wind Attribute Anomaly Velina trigger, the more cyclones she summons and the more powerful she becomes.
Norma is an upcoming S Rank Agent of the Fire Element and Stun Specialty. She specializes in dealing both on field and off field damage to enemies with her missiles to quickly raise the enemies’ daze gauge and trigger quick assist and chain attacks for the team.

Norma functions primarily as an off-field Stun Agent with her powerful missiles that constantly bombard enemies when using her EX Special Attack, allowing her to quickly raise the enemies’ Daze Gauge even when she is not on the field.
When using her EX Special Attack, Norma will set up her missiles on the field, allowing them to constantly bombard enemies with Fire damage while the on field ally attacks and help her accumulate her special Personal Resources stacks. When the missiles attack enemies not under stun effect, they deal more Daze damage and when attacking stunned enemies, they deal more Fire Elemental Damage overall.
Norma’s core passive allows her attacks to deal more Daze damage to enemies and help to make the enemies go into the stun state much quicker. Additionally, it helps her apply the weakened status, increasing the damage taken by enemies when they are stunned and prolonging the enemies’ stun duration. Upon accumulating enough Personal Resources, upon a Quick Assist trigger, Norma will replace the Quick Assist with a Chain attack, allowing allies to deal more damage and take the field much easier.
Alongside the 2 Rate Up S Rank Agents being introduced in version 3.0, an entirely Free S Rank Agent will be given out to all players in the form of Pyrois, the brand new S Rank Ether Attack Specialty Agent.

Pyrois is an upcoming Agent of the Infinity Rank and the Ether Element and is considered the game’s first ever special Agent of the Phaethon faction. They wield a blade as their main weapon and focus on dealing Ether damage to enemies in order to trigger their Ultimate and allowing players to choose between 4 different Ultimates to deal damage in various ways to enemies.
Pyrois is a very unique but easy to use Agent in the game, being designed as a character that new and returning players can use as a powerful Ether Damage dealing Agent in various contents in the game.
Pyrois’ skill kit and gameplan is relatively simple in nature: Upon attacking enemies, Pyrois will deal Ether damage to enemies and accumulate Kinetic Energy. Once they have accumulated enough Kinetic Energy, they will be able to use their EX Special Attack to deal Ether damage to enemies and raise their Decibel quickly, allowing them to trigger their Ultimate.
Pyrois’ Ultimate is extremely unique as it allows players to choose 1 out of 4 different effects and attacks to trigger upon using an Ultimate, with each Ultimate fulfilling a different role and help to trigger a different effect upon usage.
Brand New Element
With the release of version 3.0 Update Patch and the release of Velina, an entirely brand new element will be added into the game in the form of the Wind Element.
The Wind Element will have its own damage modifiers, anomaly attribute effects and various effects. The Wind Element will focus on crowd controlling the enemies, with their Anomaly Attribute effects allowing the Agents to generate powerful Vortex effects onto the field.
With the introduction of the Wind Element, players can expect many different Wind Attribute Agents and Boss to be coming into the game in the near future.
Brand New W-Engines & Drive Disc Set
Together with the release of Velina, Norma and Pyrois, their signature W-Engines will also be added to the game:
– Velina signature W-Engine:
Sub Stat: 60% Energy Regen
Effect: The equipper’s Anomaly Proficiency increases by 60. When the equipper uses an [EX Special Attack], the [Vortex] and [Windswept] DMG they deal increases by 7% for 40s, stacking up to 2 times, and repeated triggers reset the duration. While at 2 stacks of this effect, the whole squad’s Anomaly Proficiency increases by 60. This Anomaly Proficiency boost for the whole squad is unique to the squad.
– Norma signature W-Engine:
Sub Stat: 24% Critical Rate
Effect: Increases the equipper’s Impact by 30. DMG dealt ignores 20% of the target’s Fire RES. When the equipper deals Fire DMG with an [EX Special Attack], increases DMG dealt by the whole squad by 12.5% for 20s. Max 2 stacks. Repeated triggers reset the duration. Can be triggered once per skill at most. Only one instance of this effect can exist in the same squad.
– Pyrois signature W-Engine:
Sub Stat: 48% Critical Damage
Effect: CRIT Rate increases by 20%. If Pyrois equips this W-Engine, using [Ultimate] grants the [Pierce] effect. Under [Pierce], the equipper’s DMG ignores 28% of DEF, lasting 30s. Repeated triggers reset the duration. Entering combat also grants the [Pierce] effect.
Alongside the 3 new W-Engines, 2 new Drive Discs sets will also be added to the game:
– Howlin’ Salon:
2-pcs: Wind DMG +10%.
4-pcs: When the equipper activates an [EX Special Attack], their Anomaly Proficiency increases by 25, stacking up to 2 times for 40s; repeated triggers reset the duration. After the equipper triggers a [Windswept] effect, their DMG dealt increases by 18% for 40s; repeated triggers reset the duration.
– Dawn Chronicles:
2pcs: Ether DMG +10%
4pcs: The equipper’s Ether DMG CRIT DMG increases by 30%. When the equipper uses an [EX Special Attack] or [Ultimate], the equipper’s ATK increases by 10% for 30s. Repeated triggers reset the duration.
Banner Schedules & Reruns
With the release of the 2 brand new S Rank Agents, their rate up banners alongside their signature W-Engines will also be releasing during the 3.0, with the banners and reruns schedules as followed:
– The first phase of the version 3.0 will feature the release of the S-Rank Wind Anomaly Specialty Agent Velina alongside her signature W-Engine. Alongside Velina’s banner, as Velina is an extremely good character for Anomaly playstyle, players can expect an Anomaly character to be rerun alongside her, so possible candidates includes Miyabi, Vivian or Yanagi.
– For the 2nd phase of version 3.0, the S-Rank Fire Stun Specialty Agent Norma will be on rate up alongside her signature W-Engine. As for reruns, it is very highly likely that characters that can take advantage of Norma’s powerful off-field effects will be on rate up, including characters like Hugo, Evelyn and more.
