In Aniimo, the game is overflowing with Aniimo, and that is the problem. You catch a cute early line, sink Resonance into it, then watch a later Sanctum or Egg Heist wipe the team because the slot never had a real job. So, let’s stop that spiral with this Aniimo tier list. We will be ranking the best Aniimo and best characters by how they actually play so you will finally know who carries, who bridges the early game, and who is a trap for scarce upgrade materials.

If you are still learning Twining, Aniipods, Potential, and how a first team should look, you can pair this ranking with our Aniimo Beginner Guide – Best Tips and Tricks. When you are ready to push Resonance, Prismana eggs, or extra Glimmer into an S-tier core, topping up Aniimo through Enjoygm keeps that spend cheap and fast so the creatures on this list actually reach the stats they are graded on.
How This Aniimo Tier List Is Ranked
Tiers here follow launch kits, base stats, role coverage, and how much work a creature still does after you leave Breezy Plains. A high ATK number is not enough. Aniimo combat is built around opening a Break window, dumping damage into it, and staying alive long enough to do that twice.
What each tier means:
- S tier: Meta core. Worth Resonance, Potential, and Held Items for the rest of launch content.
- A tier: Near-meta. Safe long-term builds and excellent elemental flex picks.
- B tier: Solid mid-game pieces. Keep them until an S/A replacement arrives.
- C tier: Best early-game Aniimo and usable bridges. Do not dump rare stones here.
- D tier: Base forms, niche tools, or lines you outgrow fast.
Roles in one line
- DPS wins fights once the bar is open.
- Break opens that bar.
- Heal keeps the fielded Aniimo standing.
- Support buffs damage, shields, or shreds resistance.
- Regen feeds EP so skills and Ultimates keep firing.
S Tier Aniimo — The Best Characters to Build Around
S tier is the real best Aniimo board. If a creature is here, it still has a job when the rest of the roster is Nova-stage and you are no longer carrying story padding.
| Aniimo | Role | Description |
![]() Stellarys | Dark Ranged DPS | Stellarys is the final form of Celestis and one of the strongest ranged DPS choices. Its Dark element, very high ATK, and clone style basic attacks keep the damage going as you reposition. Grand Sorcerer works well with a simple skill and basic attack rotation. If you already invested in Celestis, those early materials are not wasted. |
![]() Tubster | Wind Break Tank | Tubster combines huge HP and BREAK with the Wind Break role, making it a strong choice for fights where staggering enemies is important. Gale Guard and its cyclone tools also give the team more room to work. If you keep losing fights because of a DPS check, Tubster can help solve that problem. |
![]() Lunara | Light Ranged DPS | As the Light ranged starter, Lunara remains a strong choice even after the tutorial. Fox Mark lowers Light resistance, while her basic attacks restore a small amount of HP. Her ranged playstyle also gives you a safer way to learn dodge timing. Since every account can Resonance her without waiting for a rare wild spawn, she is a reliable long term investment. |
![]() Somniwing | Wind and Grass Regen | Somniwing focuses on Regen and becomes especially useful during long boss fights where EP can run low. Its Wind and Grass coverage, along with strong REGEN, helps bring skills back before the Break window ends. It works especially well with damage focused Aniimo such as Fulmintis or Stellarys. |
![]() Leafy | Grass and Water Regen | Leafy works as a flexible Regen battery with high HP, high REGEN, and enough durability to remain on the field when a healer is occupied. It fits well into Water or Grass teams and is a stronger long term option than many C tier Regen Aniimo found during your travels. |
![]() Luminelle | Electric Support | Luminelle gives Electric teams a major boost through its Support role and damage amplification. It can turn Fulmintis or Besauce into much stronger threats. For a team built around overall DPS rather than one carry, Luminelle provides the support needed to make that damage count. |
![]() Ignitis | Dark DPS | Ignitis gives you a more aggressive Dark DPS option compared with Stellarys. Its high skill ceiling rewards players who stay active in the rotation. It becomes especially valuable when Dreaple or Fragrancier is already providing Dark shred, giving Ignitis a large damage window. |
![]() Inferlupa | Fire and Dark Break | Inferlupa is one of the most important Fire and Dark Break Aniimo to catch. It marks a target and increases Break efficiency for everyone attacking that target, while still dealing finishing damage itself. Players using Fire teams should look beyond Scorchhowl if they want the full value of the Emberpup line. It is a strong investment for boss fights. |
![]() Gracewing | Healer | Gracewing is one of the strongest healer and Support choices. Flutter Heal continues restoring slices of max HP even when Gracewing is off the field, while Phantomfly gives teammates EP. Its Ultimate can also save the whole team in difficult moments. Since Flutternym evolves into Gracewing, early investment in the line is not wasted. |
![]() Helion | Light Melee DPS | Helion uses the same Light DPS stat block as Lunara but has a very different playstyle. It pulls groups together, dives into them, and detonates with attacks such as Holy Storm followed by an aerial finish. That makes Helion especially useful for open world routing and players who prefer melee combat. Like Lunara, it is also a guaranteed S tier starter investment. |
![]() Fulmintis | Electric DPS | Fulmintis is one of the strongest DPS Aniimo thanks to its very high ATK, crit focused traits that restore EP, and multi hit rush attacks. During a Break window, it can deal huge damage very quickly. Tubster, Inferlupa, Geoclaw, and Rookey make strong Break partners, while Luminelle and Besauce provide useful support. If you are spending Glimmer on eggs or Resonance stones for one damage dealer, Fulmintis is a strong target. |
![]() Geoclaw | Ice Break | Geoclaw combines the Ice Break role with high BREAK and strong defenses. Its Ice coverage is also useful for early teams that lack the element. Bring Geoclaw when the enemy stance bar is a major part of the fight. Its evolution from the Budclaw and Shrubclaw side of the rock plant lines also makes it worth planning for. |
![]() Besauce | Electric Regen | Besauce is an Electric Regen Aniimo and one of the best EP batteries on the launch roster. Its unconditional energy restore helps keep the team using Ultimates, while its own Ultimate still supports Electric damage. It is a strong choice whenever your DPS keeps running out of energy. |
![]() Eklue | Wind Support | Eklue provides Wind Support with buffs that are not limited to one element. That makes it useful for mixed teams and lets it stay relevant when you change DPS between Sanctums. If you do not have Luminelle yet, Eklue can fill that support role while still being worth A to S level resources. |
Building an S-tier core from this Aniimo tier list is also where currency pressure shows up. Resonance, Prismana hunts, and extra Aniipods all lean on Glimmer. If you already know Stellarys, Fulmintis, or Gracewing is your lock, topping up through Enjoygm is the practical way to fund that investment without stalling the rest of the account.

A Tier Aniimo — Very Strong, Safe to Raise
A tier is where most players live comfortably from An Aniimo tier list. These are still among the Aniimo best characters; they just ask for a clearer team identity.
| Aniimo | Role | Description |
![]() Thornblade | Grass DPS | Thornblade keeps things simple with a normal attack chain that hits as hard as a skill. The rest of the kit also works without a long setup. It is a great straightforward carry while you work toward Fulmintis or Stellarys, and it remains useful in Grass weak content even after you have an S tier main. |
![]() Wisptis | Dark DPS | Wisptis sits close to Stellarys as a Dark DPS option, although it is a little less flexible. It still has enough damage to handle launch PvE when Dark coverage is needed. Raise Wisptis if you like its playstyle, but there is little reason to put it ahead of Stellarys or Ignitis. |
![]() Melloblum | Grass Support | Melloblum gives Grass teams useful attack buffs and works naturally alongside Thornblade or Leafy. Its role is valuable enough for A tier, though Grass already has several S tier partners competing for the same upgrade resources. |
![]() Pawney | Dark Attacker and Flex | Pawney is a Dark attacker and flexible option from the Helmut line. It gets a strong burst payoff in Dark teams, especially after Fragrancier or Dreaple has reduced enemy resistance. The specialist role is where Pawney shines most, which keeps it in A tier rather than S tier. |
![]() Grizbo | Rock DPS | Grizbo brings strong raw stats that help it handle tougher mid game areas. It is particularly useful on maps with enemies weak to Rock and can also help with Homeland gathering routes. Even so, it should not be your first Resonance choice after your starter. |
![]() Helgon | Wind Break | Helgon is a Wind Break option that fills a similar role to Tubster at a lower level. Until Tubster drops, Helgon is a practical Aniimo to use in your team. You can replace it later, but there is no problem keeping it around through a large part of the story. |
![]() Fenmane | Electric DPS and Glide Explorer | Fenmane combines solid Electric damage with glide exploration. Its combat value is good, but the extra mobility is often the reason players continue using it after finishing the Sanctum. It is a strong choice if you still need both map mobility and Electric coverage. |
![]() Glacy | Water and Ice Healer | Glacy is another strong healer and a useful option for the Best Support and Healer Aniimo role. Its healing does not require you to stay inside a fixed field, which helps keep mobile boss fights stable. Gracewing offers a broader toolkit, but Glacy is still a premier healer and a worthwhile A tier investment. |
![]() Dreaple | Dark Support | Dreaple is built around lowering Dark resistance so Aniimo such as Ignitis, Stellarys, and Pawney can make the most of the opening. For Dark teams focused on one shot damage, Dreaple provides the setup that makes those big hits possible. |
B Tier Aniimo — Reliable Mid-Game, Know When to Move On
Creatures on the B tier clear content. They are just not where rare Capability Fruit and Prismatic Stones should land first.
| Aniimo | Role | Description |
![]() Tromber | Wind Support | Tromber provides Wind Support with strong ATK and remains useful before Eklue or Luminelle becomes available. It can fill the support role early on without needing a major investment. |
![]() Waleetle | Elemental Mid Pick | Waleetle is a sturdy elemental choice that can perform better in the right weather or region. Its value is more noticeable in those situations than across the full roster. |
![]() Piopiota | Water Support | Piopiota offers Water Support along with useful swimming exploration value. Its exploration role can matter more on the map than its actual damage output. |
![]() Rookey | Dark Break | Rookey is useful both in combat and for account progression. Dark Break, catch rate bonuses, and free Capability resets give it value beyond normal battles. In combat, it works well as a Break opener, but it is better to keep one built than make it the main focus of your S tier investment. |
![]() Minespine | Rock and Earth Stagger | Minespine helps with Rock and Earth stagger and can also handle early shielding needs. It is a practical choice for the earlier parts of the game. |
![]() Pebbling | Rock and Earth Stagger | Pebbling covers early Rock and Earth stagger while also helping with shielding. It can do its job well early on, but there are stronger options to move toward later. |
![]() Helmut | Early Dark Fighter | Helmut is the early form connected to the Pawney and Rookey family. Use it when needed, then evolve it with a clear plan for which form you want to build toward. |
![]() Hexxin | Regen Support | Hexxin is a useful Regen and Support option when Besauce or Leafy is not available. It can bridge the gap until one of those stronger choices joins your team. |
![]() Fragrancier | Dark Utility | Fragrancier provides Dark utility and works especially well in teams built around marks and burst damage. Its overall tier is lower, but it still has a useful role in the right team. |
![]() Geodeback | Defensive Rock | Geodeback gives you a defensive Rock option for fights where fragile DPS characters struggle to survive. It is most useful when staying alive is more important than simply dealing damage quickly. |
![]() Flamerion | Fire Regen | Flamerion provides Fire Regen and works well enough in Fire teams. Besauce is a stronger universal battery, so Flamerion becomes less useful when that option is available. |
![]() Flutternym | Early Healer | Flutternym is one of the most important B tier catches because it evolves into Gracewing. It is worth leveling with that final form in mind rather than treating it as a finished healer. |
![]() Eko | Situational Fighter | Eko is a flexible mid roster fighter that can be brought in when you need a specific element. It is more of a situational pick than a core investment. |
![]() Erlath | Water Regen | Erlath combines Water Regen with very high HP. It is one of the better B tier options if you choose not to use Besauce. |
![]() Cubbo | Early to Mid Game Fighter | Cubbo can help through the early and mid game, but it is not worth spending endgame stones on. |
![]() Dazmand | Electric Support | Dazmand provides Electric Support and has a role similar to Luminelle. Keep it around if you need Electric Support, then replace it when the stronger Support option becomes available. |
![]() Budsquire | Plant Fighter | Budsquire is a simple plant fighter that works well as an early training option. It can help you learn the basics before moving on to stronger Aniimo. |
![]() Cornet | Wind DPS | Cornet is a Wind DPS from the Chirpi line and offers a respectable damage option while you build your roster. It can stand in until Stellarys or Fulmintis is ready. |
C Tier Aniimo — Best Early-Game Aniimo and Honest Bridges
The best Early-Game Aniimo options are here. These creatures are not bad. They are on-time. The mistake is treating a C-tier Nova as a finished main.
| Aniimo | Role | Description |
![]() Tuckin | Grass Break | Tuckin has very high BREAK for a Grass Breaker and can carry you through early stagger checks. Its value falls later as Tubster, Inferlupa, and Geoclaw become stronger options. |
![]() Turbo | Support | Turbo is often placed in SS tier on other lists, but this ranking focuses on long term investment. Its Nimbi Burst remains one of the strongest early damage buffs in Aniimo. Use Turbo early, then decide whether Eklue or Luminelle is worth your rare stones later. |
![]() Sparki | Electric DPS | Sparki is the early Electric DPS you can rely on before Fulmintis becomes available. It does its job early, but there is little reason to build it heavily once the stronger option arrives. |
![]() Susuta | Gift and Egg Aniimo | Susuta is mainly a launch gift and egg option. It is fun to collect and use, but it should not be a priority for your build resources. |
![]() Sherro | Electric and Thunder DPS | Sherro offers workable Electric and Thunder damage and can look stronger in the right weather. Outside those conditions, its value is more limited. |
![]() Skippy | Water Heal | Skippy belongs to the Water Heal line and can keep your team alive during the early game. It is a useful temporary healer until Glacy or Gracewing takes its place. |
![]() Pranky | Water Heal | Pranky also provides early Water healing and helps you stay alive through the first stages. Like Skippy, it is best treated as a temporary option before moving to Glacy or Gracewing. |
![]() Scorchhowl | Fire DPS | Scorchhowl is a Fire DPS that can look like a final form, making it easy to invest in too much. Inferlupa is the real destination of this family, so keep that upgrade path in mind. |
![]() Pomawk | Damage and Break | Pomawk provides solid damage or Break value during the middle of the story. It can handle its role well enough until stronger options become available. |
![]() Popota | Damage and Break | Popota works as another mid story option for damage or Break. It is useful during progression but is not meant to be a long term main. |
![]() Jawling | Attacker | Jawling is a simple filler attacker that can help cover your damage needs early on. It does not offer the same long term value as stronger DPS choices. |
![]() Panpanta | Water Break | Panpanta brings real stagger power through its Water Break role and also has shield related value. That makes it one of the more useful C tier choices when Water is important for your route. |
![]() Iris | Grass DPS | Iris is an early Grass DPS stepping stone. It can help during progression, but later Irisalis style kits become stronger, so it should not be treated as a final investment. |
![]() Irisal | Grass DPS | Irisal continues the Grass DPS path and works as another stepping stone toward stronger forms. It is useful during the early stages, but should not be treated as the final goal. |
![]() Hummin | Grass Break | Hummin gives you an early Grass Break option and helps introduce you to the role. It is mainly useful while building your roster toward stronger Break Aniimo. |
![]() Infergon | Fire DPS | Infergon offers Fire DPS along with fly traversal, which can make it useful in your party for longer than its combat ranking suggests. Its exploration value helps keep it relevant during progression. |
![]() Glynsera | Ice Specialist DPS | Glynsera is a stylish Ice and specialist DPS that can perform well in the right fight. Its value depends more heavily on having a suitable matchup. |
![]() Helmwhelp | Helmet Line Fighter | Helmwhelp is an early fighter from the helmet line. It can help during the early game but is mainly a stepping stone toward its later forms. |
![]() Dewy | Water Sustain and Flex | Dewy provides Water sustain and flexible utility during the first regions. It is a useful early option while your roster is still developing. |
![]() Fahloo | Water Sustain and Flex | Fahloo is another Water sustain and flexible choice for the first regions. It helps cover early needs before stronger options become available. |
![]() Celestis | Dark Ranged DPS | Celestis is one of the most important C tier DPS choices because it already has simple ranged Dark damage and works with Grand Sorcerer. More importantly, it evolves into S tier Stellarys, making early XP investment worthwhile. |
![]() Chirpi | Wind | Chirpi starts the Wind line that can eventually lead to Tromber, Cornet, or Tubster. Catch it if you need the line, but there is no reason to max the early form. |
![]() Baleetle | Early Mid Pick | Baleetle is an early beetle shaped option that can fill a mid roster role. It can help during progression without being a major long term investment. |
![]() Blazen | Electric and Fire Break | Blazen brings Electric and Fire related Break value that can feel exciting early on. Its usefulness becomes more average as the roster develops. |
D Tier Aniimo — Cute, Useful Once, Then Benched
D tier from this Aniimo tier list is base forms, narrow tools, and lines you outgrow the first time a Sanctum checks your Break bar.
| Aniimo | Description |
![]() Shrubclaw | Shrubclaw has impressive BREAK stats, but Geoclaw is the Ice Break you ultimately want from this investment path. It can help early on, but it is not worth treating as a long term choice. |
![]() Veilfloat | Veilfloat provides Electric Support and can be useful early in the game. Once Luminelle is available, though, there is little reason to keep investing in it. |
![]() Sheldon | Sheldon works as a shell tank for the opening map. It can handle early defensive needs, but it is not suited for endgame teams. |
![]() Shelly | Shelly is another early shell tank that can help during the first parts of the game. Its usefulness falls off when you start building stronger endgame teams. |
![]() Nimbi | Nimbi is the early form of Turbo. It is worth catching and using early, but it is not where you should put your final investment. |
![]() Pomegg | Pomegg is a useful early Break option with Freeze and Silence utility. It works especially well in Breezy Plains, but its role is finished once Tubster or Inferlupa becomes available. |
![]() Lavazar | Lavazar provides Fire Break but loses out to Inferlupa as your stronger long term option. It can serve its purpose early without being a major investment. |
![]() Magmarex | Magmarex is another Fire Break choice that competes with Inferlupa. It can help with early Break needs, but Inferlupa is the better destination for this role. |
![]() Fentuft | Fentuft is an early Fire DPS option from the same family as the stronger Fire forms. It can help during progression but is not worth heavy long term investment. |
![]() Flameruff | Flameruff gives you early Fire damage and can cover the role while your roster develops. Its value drops as stronger Fire DPS options become available. |
![]() Emberpup | Emberpup offers movement and early Fire damage, making it useful during the early game. Once you progress further, stop spending Capability Fruit on it. |
![]() Fenrier | Fenrier is a leftover mid form that can fill a temporary role during progression. It does not offer enough value to justify a long term build. |
![]() Bulbly | Bulbly is a small Electric and Support option that can add some extra utility early on. It is mainly useful as an extra choice rather than a core team member. |
![]() Cozite | Cozite is another cute Electric and Support option for early teams. It can fill a small utility role but does not have the value of stronger Support Aniimo. |
![]() Bouldus | Bouldus can provide shielding when you need some extra defense. However, it does not have enough value to become a main defensive support choice. |
![]() Budclaw | Budclaw is part of the path toward Shrubclaw and Geoclaw. It is mainly worth keeping in mind if you plan to build toward that later form. |
![]() Bolty | Bolty provides basic Electric chip damage for early fights. It can help at the start, but stronger Electric DPS options quickly take over its role. |
![]() Bonesky | Bonesky is a niche Dark and Light related option that can fill a small role during progression. Its value is more noticeable for completing Aniilog entries than building a main team. |
![]() Bailite | Bailite offers another niche Dark and Light related option. It can fill certain early needs, but is more useful for Aniilog collection than as a regular team slot. |
Note: Catch every D-tier you see. Potential rolls and Aniilog progress matter. Just do not confuse a complete collection with a complete team.

Best Early-Game Aniimo Teams
A first squad only needs four jobs filled from the Aniimo tier list. Your starter already is the DPS.
| Playstyle | DPS | Flex DPS / Break | Heal | Support |
| Safest new-player team | Lunara | Celestis or Pomegg | Flutternym or Skippy | Turbo or Nimbi |
| Melee / camp clear | Helion | Emberpup → Scorchhowl | Flutternym | Turbo |
| Dark training team | Celestis → Stellarys | Helmut / Rookey | Glacy if you have it | Dreaple later |
Upgrade rule: spend XP on the creature whose final form is S or A. Celestis, Flutternym, Nimbi, and Emberpup all count. Random C-tier Nova forms do not.
Best Aniimo to Invest In (Resource Priority)
Resonance stones, Dewdrop Crystals, Capability Fruit, and Prismatic Stones do not refund cleanly once you are deep into a line. Treat this as the spend order.
- Your starter (Lunara or Helion) — guaranteed S-tier DPS.
- One true carry — Fulmintis or Stellarys.
- One sustain slot — Gracewing first, Besauce or Somniwing if EP is the bottleneck, Glacy if you have the Water/Ice healer and not the Wind one.
- One Break slot — Tubster, Inferlupa, or Geoclaw.
- One amplifier — Luminelle or Eklue.
Conclusion
That is everything for this Aniimo tier list. Hope you can have your best Aniimo as ever wanted with our guide and make sure you shine better from early to end game.
