Arcane Skill Kit & Playstyle Analysis

General Introduction

Arcane is a 6-Star Nature Caster Operator that wields an Arts Unit as her main weapon and is capable of changing her playstyles depending on the difference between her stats at the start of combat, with her being able to switch between DPS or support playstyles accordingly.

Arknights: Endfield Arcane

Skill Analysis & Leveling Priority

Arcane can perform up to 5 basic attack sequences, dealing Nature DMG to enemies. When performing a finisher on an enemy, Arcane deals massive Nature DMG and restores some SP.
Basic AttackLeveling Priority: Low
Reason: Arcane’s normal attacks aren’t used too often, so players don’t need to level this up.
INT Mode
Creates a Jadecrushing Grid that deals Nature DMG and applies Nature Infliction to enemies within the area of effect.
Array Arcana: INT: Deals more DMG.

WILL Mode
Creates a Jadecrushing Grid that deals Nature DMG and applies Nature Infliction to enemies within the area of effect.
Array Arcana: WILL: When dealing DMG, the array also pulls in enemies within the area of effect.
Battle SkillLeveling Priority: Highest
Reason: Arcane’s main damaging move, so players should level this up as much as possible.
Combo Skill:
INT Mode
Arcane charges at the target and sets up 4 Tactical Doubles that deals Nature damage and apply Nature Susceptibility and Cryo Susceptibility and deal Nature DMG to the target and nearby enemies, and also apply Imprisonment on the said target. When Imprisonment ends, the Tactical Doubles will attack the said target to deal Explosion DMG.

Array Arcana: INT:
Hitting an enemy under Imprisonment with Arcane’s battle skill returns some SP, ends the Imprisonment early, deals Explosion DMG, applies another instance of Nature Susceptibility and Cryo Susceptibility, and deals multiple hits of bonus DMG after a short delay.
Combo skill cooldown is shorter.

WILL Mode
Arcane charges at the target and sets up 4 Tactical Doubles that deal Nature DMG and apply another stack of Arts Infliction of the same element, Nature Susceptibility, and Cryo Susceptibility to the target and nearby enemies, and also apply Imprisonment on the said target. When Imprisonment ends, the Tactical Doubles will attack the said target to deal Explosion DMG.

Imprisonment: A debuff that slows all actions.

Array Arcana: WILL:
Applying Imprisonment by casting a combo skill will also slightly pull in enemies near the target.
The attribute of Will can further increase the effects of Nature Susceptibility and Cryo Susceptibility applied by the combo skill.

Combo Trigger:
INT Mode
When an enemy either has a stack of Nature Infliction or at least 2 stacks of non-Nature Arts Infliction.

WILL Mode
When an Arts Infliction is applied on an enemy.
Combo SkillLeveling Priority: High
Reason: Another of Arcane’s main damage moves and should be leveled up as high as possible.
INT Mode
Arcane creates a Gloompurger Array that immediately deals Nature DMG to enemies within the area of effect (AOE). When hitting an enemy within the Gloompurger Array with a Finisher or a Final Strike performed by the controlled operator, the Gloompurger Array unleashes a Cluster Strike that deals Area DMG to the said enemy. This effect triggers up to 2 times.
After triggering Cluster Strike 2 times, the ultimate is switched to Gloompurge Arcana.

Gloompurge Arcana: Deals Nature DMG to enemies within a large AOE.
Array Arcana: INT: When created, the Gloompurger Array also forcibly applies Corrosion to enemies in the AOE.

WILL Mode
Arcane creates a Gloompurger Array that immediately deals Nature DMG to enemies within the area of effect (AOE). When hitting an enemy within the Gloompurger Array with a Finisher or a Final Strike performed by the controlled operator, the Gloompurger Array unleashes a Cluster Strike that deals Area DMG to the said enemy. This effect triggers up to 2 times.
After triggering Cluster Strike 2 times, the ultimate is switched to Gloompurge Arcana.

Array Arcana: WILL:
– When created, the Gloompurger Array also targets enemies with Arts Infliction within its AOE, and applies another Arts Infliction stack of the same element to them.
UltimateLeveling Priority: Medium
Reason: Another of Arcane’s damaging skill that also allows her to set up, level this up if you want to optimize Arcane’s damage to the max.
When Arcane’s Intellect > Will, switch skill type to Array Arcana: INT. If not, then switch to Array Arcana: WILL.
Ultimate Gloompurge improved:
Array Arcana: INT:
– During the ultimate, Arcane gains 24% Arts Amp.
Array Arcana: WILL:
When Gloompurger Array (ultimate sequence 1) and Gloompurge Arcana
(ultimate sequence 2) deal DMG to the enemy, they also apply [Will × 0.02%]
Nature Susceptibility and Cryo Susceptibility (max: 12.8%) for 10s. This effect cannot stack.
Talent 1Unlock Priority: Highest
Reason: This talent massive improves her overall damage output in her DPS mode and her ability to support the team in her support mode.
Corrosion applied by Arcane lasts 10s longer, and Max Resistance Reduction is increased to 1.1 times the original.
Talent 2Unlock Priority: High
Reason: An amazing talent that allows Arcane to apply longer Corrosion effect for better damage

Playstyle Guide & Rotation

Arcane’s playstyle revolves around using the two different types of Arrays from her Battle Skill to either allow her to deal powerful damage to enemies with her Combo attacks or allow her to support the team by inflicting Arts infliction with her Battle and Ultimate attacks. Depending on the type of Arrays she is in, she is able to either deal massive amounts of damage to enemies and reduce the resistances of the enemies to Cryo and Nature damage, or able to inflict multiple Arts Infliction stacks on enemies at the same time, allowing other Operators to do their combo.

Upon using her Ultimate, depending on the Array, Arcane is able to deal constant Nature damage to enemies within her Ultimate zone whenever her or an ally deals damage to the enemies or is able to instantly deal an instance of Nature damage to enemies, inflicting Nature Infliction on enemies in a wide area.

Arcane Best Main Stats & Sub Stats

As a Main DPS / Sub DPS Enabler for the Nature Team and various teams, Arcane wants different stats based on what players intend on using her as, with higher Intelligence over Will making her a main DPS character while higher Will over Intelligence turns her into a more Sub DPS Support character.

Her preferred stats are as followed:

Int > Will Build:

Sub StatHeat and Nature Damage Dealt +11.5%Heat and Nature Damage Dealt +19.2%Arts Intensity +41Secondary Attribute +20.7%

Important Stat Threshold:

– Depending on what players intend to use and build her as, players will need to adjust Arcane’s Intelligence and Will stats accordingly.

– Please note that since the majority of Arcane’s weapons boost her Intelligence stat, if players want to have a Will > Intelligence Build, they will need to invest in a lot of Will to outweigh the weapon’s stats.

Arcane Best Teams

Arcane’s best teams are teams that can help boost her Nature damage to the max when she is in her Main DPS mode and teams that can take full advantage of her amazing ability to apply Arts Infliction stacks on enemies when she is in her Support mode.

DPS Arcane Team

This team focuses on boosting Arcane’s damage to as high as possible when she is in her DPS mode, with Tangtang being able to apply Arts susceptibility to the enemies and Cryo Infliction stacks, helping to facilitate the team’s gameplay in addition to crowd control large groups of enemies. Xaihi is used as a support character capable of granting Nature Damage Amp, helping to boost Arcane’s overall damage output while also providing healing and an additional Cryo Infliction to help trigger Arcane’s Combo Skill. Gilberta or Ardelia can be used in the 4th slot as the team’s sustain and support character, with both of them being able to apply Nature Infliction stacks on enemies to help with Arcene’s rotation, with Gilberta granting more damage to Arcane while Ardelia being the better sustain option.

Support Arcane Team

Main DPSSub DPS/ SupportSub DPS/ SupportSupport/Sustain
EssentialEssentialEssentialEssential

For a Support Arcane team, any team that can make use of Arcane’s amazing ability to apply 2 stacks of Arts Infliction of any element onto the enemies can use her in a team. Some of the best teams to make use of this are the Laevetain team and the Yvonne team, with the Yvonne team having the extra benefit of being able to take advantage of Arcane’s Nature Infliction stack as well. Yvonne is the team’s main DPS character, being able to consume the Nature Infliction and Arts Infliction stacks provided by Arcane and Tangtang. Tangtang is the team’s support providing the team with Cryo Infliction stacks, crowd control and Cryo damage Susceptibility on enemies. Xaihi is the team’s primary sustain option, capable of healing the team while also amplifying the Cryo and Nature damage dealt by the entire team.
