How A Team Is Rated

In Arknights: Endfield, a team consist of a total of 4 different members, with 1 character being the main controlled on-field operator most of the time while the other 3 will help them by using their combat and combo skills to either facilitate the team’s playstyle or offer buffs to the entire team depending on their skill effects. This means that, the majority of good teams in the game consist mainly of a main DPS character, 2 or more Sub DPS facilitator Operators that can help facilitate the main DPS’s damage combo and a support/sustain character capable of buffing and healing the team. That being said, if players are skilled enough with their positioning and dodging, a sustain character is not as needed, meaning you can run a full DPS team with no sustain characters to optimize the team’s damage output.

The game’s damage is divided mainly into 2 types: Physical Damage and Arts Damage, with Arts damage being further divided into 4 different elements: Heat, Cryo, Electric and Nature. 

Arts Damage team mainly focuses around inflicting the special elemental Infliction effect onto the enemies with the ability of different operators to either allow the main DPS to consume the Elemental Infliction stacks to strengthen their damage or to stack the Elemental Infliction effects to trigger special Arts Reactions. 

We will go over the best teams for each of these elemental Arts Damage respectively, with some explanation of how they work and some alternative players you can use if you don’t have certain characters.

Best Heat Team

The best Heat team in Arknights: Endfield revolves around the Heat Infliction effect and the team’s ability to take full advantage of the effect.

Laevatain	Wulfgard	Akekuri	Ardelia
Main DPS	Sub DPS	Sub DPS/ Support	Support/Sútain

Currently the best Heat team consist of Laevatain as the team’s main DPS character, Wulfgard as the team’s Sub DPS and Heat Infliction Enabler, Akekuri as the team’s secondary support and Heat infliction enabler and Ardelia as the team’s primary support option.

Laevatain’s is the team mandatory character as she is the only Heat DPS character in Arknights: Endfield that can actually do good damage to enemies, without her, it is not recommended for players to make a Heat Damage team due to a lower performance than in other teams. Laevatain’s skill kit and talent allows her to consume stacks of Heat Infliction on enemies to strengthen her abilities and grant herself powerful damage buff in addition to quickly charging up her Ultimate, helping to optimize her damage output. 

Wulfgard and Akekuri serves as the team’s sub DPS and Heat Infliction enablers with Wulfgard being able to easily inflict 2 stacks of Heat Inflictions in a row with his combat and combo skill, while Akekuri can also inflict Heat Infliction stack on enemies with her Combat Skill. Wulgard is more damage oriented overall, with his decently high damage output and the ability to consume the Heat Arts Damage Reaction Combustion to deal more damage to enemies after Laevatain forcefully triggers it on enemies. Akekuri on the other hand is more support oriented, with her ability to provide a large amount of SP for the team, helping to maintain the team’s skill usage. Wulfgard is almost a mandatory member of the Heat team as he helps to set up Heat Infliction stacks quickly and efficiently. If players want to optimize damage over comfort, you can use Antal in place of Akekuri for better Arts damage, otherwise, Akekuri is better for comfortable skill rotation.

For the last slot, players can use either Ardelia for good Arts Damage Support and sustain capability or Gilberta for decent Arts damage support, crowd control and some healing. Overall, Ardelia is the better option for the Heat team thanks to her ability to easily inflict Arts Susceptibility on enemies and help to sustain the team with her amazing healing effects. Furthermore, Ardelia does not need to use her skill frequently, making it more helpful to have her on a SP hungry team. Alternatively, Gilberta can offer the team better enemies grouping, which helps the team’s problem of needing to move too much, however, she uses more SP and offers less healing overall. If players do not want to use either of these characters, then using Antal for this slot is also okay.

Best Cryo Team

In a similar vein to the Heat team, the Cryo team is also reliant on the main DPS character consuming the Cryo Infliction stacks on enemies to gain good effects and deal damage to enemies to inflict the special Solidification status on enemies.

Yvonne	Last Rite	Xaihi	Ardelia
Main DPS	Sub DPS	Sub DPS/ Support	Support/Sútain

The main DPS options for the Cryo team can be either Yvonne, with her amazing Cryo Critical Damage Output against Solidification effect, or Last Rite, who can serve as both a main or sub DPS that can inflict a good amount of Cryo Infliction stacks on enemies and handle them by herself with her ability to deal strong Cryo damage to enemies and inflict Solidification on them. If players uses Yvonne as the team’s main DPS, then the team’s gameplay will be almost identical as the Heat Damage with, requiring players to inflict enemies with as many Cryo Infliction stacks as possible for Yvonne to consume to enhance her attacks and gain Ultimate Energy to use her Ultimate much quicker. For Last Rite, players can use her as a main DPS option if you don’t have Yvonne, with her amazing ability to deal good Cryo damage to enemies as the main controlled operator.

For the Sub DPS/ Cryo Infliction Enabling slots, players can consider Last Rite and Xaihi as main enablers for the Cryo Infliction team. Both Last Rite and Xaihi have amazing abilities to inflict a good amount of Cryo Infliction stacks on enemies, with Last Rite being more focused on being the main controlled operator to inflict as much Stagger as possible on enemies to quickly enable others combo skills. Meanwhile, Xaihi helps to boost the team’s overall damage by inflicting Cryo Infliction stacks on enemies and also applying Arts Susceptibility stacks on them, helping to boost the Cryo damage enemies take. Additionally, Xaihi can help to heal the team somewhat.

For the last support/sustain slot, once again, either Ardelia or Gilberta can be considered for this slot, with both of them being able to inflict Nature Infliction stacks that Yvonne can take advantage of while also amplifying Arts damage taken by enemies by inflicting them with Arts susceptibility and heal the team. Ardelia is better at sustaining and arts amplification, while Gilberta is better for grouping enemies together for Yvonne to take advantage of due to her lack of AoE damage.

Best Electric Team

For the Electric team, its performance is slightly worse than the other teams as of now since there’s no dedicated 6-star Main DPS Electric Operator. However, the team can make up for it by being extremely F2P friendly. The Electric team utilize the special Electric Infliction Stacks and Electrification effect.

Avywenna	Perlica	Arclight	Gilberta
Main DPS	Sub DPS	Sub DPS/ Support	Support/Sútain

The main DPS character for the Electric team is Avywenna, with her ability to deal amazing Electric damage to enemies by throwing her electric spears on the battlefield with her combo skill, then, with precision, pull them back from the ground towards herself and deal Electric damage to enemies in the way with her Combat Skill. When using the Electric team, positioning and timing is very important as Avywenna’s skill can be very finicky to work properly and missing the electric spears will results in a massive lost in overall DPS, so players should not make this team if you aren’t confident with your combat capabilities. Another important note when using Avywenna is that due to the nature of her playstyle, she is very Single Target oriented and lacks AoE effects.

For the sub DPS/ Electric Infliction enablers, Arclight is a must in the Electric team as she provides amazing utility by recovering the team’s SP and inflicting Electric Infliction stacks. As for the 2nd enabler, players can either use Antal or Perlica, with Antal being able to amplify the Electric damage output of the team while inflicting Electric Inflictions while Perlica can be a sub DPS option with the ability to forcefully trigger Electrification, dealing more Electric damage to enemies and make them take more Arts damage overall.

For the last sustain/ support slot, once again, Ardelia and Gilberta are best considerations for this slot. However, in this case, Gilberta is actually a better option than Ardelia with her amazing crowd controlling ability making it easier for Avywenna to position and time her electric spears. For a more F2P approach, players can either do a mono Electric team with Avywenna, Perlica, Arclight and Antal or slot in Ardelia for more sustainability overall.

Best Nature Team

Unfortunately, as of now, Arknights: Endfield doesn’t have a dedicated Nature elemental team, as the characters of the Nature element are mostly support characters for other teams, with Ardelia and Gilberta being universal support options for all Arts based damage teams.
