According to the Genshin Impact Version 6.3 Special Program, two brand-new artifact sets have been confirmed: “Aubade of Morningstar” and “Moon and A Day Carved from Rising Winds.” So, which characters are these two artifact sets suitable for?

In this article, we’ve teamed up with Enjoygm to break it down for all you Travelers!

Aubade of Morningstar and Moon

2P Increases Elemental Mastery by 80.

4P When the equipping character is off-field, Lunar Reaction DMG is increased by 20%. When the party’s Moonsign Level is at least Ascendant Gleam, Lunar Reaction DMG will be further increased by 40%. This effect will disappear after the equipping character is active for 3s.

The design philosophy of this artifact set is very clear: it’s tailor-made for dealing Lunar reaction damage, particularly from off-field. A character who can trigger Lunar reactions from the background will perfectly utilize all the set’s effects.

Currently, characters capable of dealing off-field Lunar reaction damage include: Ineffa, and Columbina in version 6.3. Any future character with a similar kit for off-field Lunar-damage will also be a great fit for this set. We won’t dive deep into Columbina here—for a detailed analysis, check out our previous article: Columbina Artifacts.

Now, let’s break down Ineffa.

Ineffa

For Ineffa, equipping the “Aubade of the Morning Star” set provides a significant theoretical DPS increase over “Silken Moon’s Serenade” or “Gilded Dreams”—around 15%. Therefore, it’s highly recommended to farm this set for her. Ineffa’s off-field damage is actually quite substantial, and sticking with “Silken Moon’s Serenade” somewhat wastes her damage potential. You can hand that older set down to other support characters instead.

Moon and A Day Carved from Rising Winds

2P ATK +18%.

4P After a Normal Attack, Charged Attack, Elemental Skill or Elemental Burst hits an opponent, gain the Blessing of Pastoral Winds effect for 6s: ATK is increased by 25%. If the equipping character has completed Witch’s Homework, Blessing of Pastoral Winds will be upgraded to Resolve of Pastoral Winds, which also increases the CRIT Rate of the equipping character by an additional 20%. This effect can be triggered even when the character is off-field.

Simply put, this artifact set is tailor-made for magic-based damage dealers. It provides a total of 43% ATK bonus (18% + 25%) plus a 20% CRIT Rate boost. This 20% CRIT Rate significantly elevates a character’s damage output. Compared to other artifact sets, the “Moon and A Day Carved from Rising Winds” combines both ATK and CRIT Rate—two core offensive stats. As a result, it offers a notable upgrade for all currently available magic-based damage characters. This is especially true for Durin and Venti, who see particularly strong performance gains when equipped with this new set compared to their previous best-in-slot artifacts.

Venti

These four are highly recommended to farm this new artifact set. After the latest adjustments to magic-based damage dealers, their old artifact setups just don’t sync as well anymore. This new set is a perfect fit and gives them a solid power boost!

Situational Picks

albedo
Albedo
fischl
Fischl

Mona

For these characters, farming the new set isn’t very efficient. Fischl has options like Golden Troupe, Gilded Dreams and so on. Albedo performs well with Husk of Opulent Dreams. Mona has strong choices in Heart of Depths.

Switching to this new set only gives them a minor damage boost, roughly 5-10% more. Considering the high resin cost of farming a whole new set, it’s not really worth it for these three. You’re better off sticking with and improving their current builds.

Sucrose

One character who absolutely doesn’t need this set is Sucrose. As a pure support, she isn’t built for dealing damage, so this offensive set is a terrible fit for her.

In short, only farm “Moon and A Day Carved from Rising Winds” for your main Magic damage-dealing users. Focus on getting a complete, strong set for your core DPS characters first. Other damage dealers can stick with their older offensive sets, while support characters should avoid farming this one entirely.

Conclusion

If you’ve got magic-damage users like Venti, Durin, or Klee, or if you’re planning to run a magic-focused team, then you should definitely farm “Moon and A Day Carved from Rising Winds”. On the other hand, if you have Ineffa or are saving up to pull for Columbina, then your target should be “Aubade of Morningstar” for that Lunar-reaction setup. But if you’ve already decided you’re not building either a Lunar-reaction team or a Magic-based team, then you can safely skip this new artifact domain altogether.
