Brand Region and New Story Quest

With the release of Genshin Impact 7.0 Update Patch, the game will be entering one of its final areas and the final nation in Teyvat – Snezhnaya. Alongside the release of this brand new region and nation, players will be able to explore 2 brand new areas – a frosty area filled with ice monsters and an autumn forest filled with tree-like monsters.

Additionally, players will be able to approach the Zapolyarny Palace, the place where the Cryo Archon resides and will most likely meet her during the main story of this brand new region in version 7.0 Update.

Brand New Main Character Element and Outfit

Alongside the release of Snezhnaya and the nation of Cryo, players will be able to reach the region’s Archon Statue and receive the power of Cryo for the main character, allowing them to use an entirely brand new Cryo-based skill kit and abilities. 

Cryo Traveler’s skill kit and abilities focuses on making them both a potential main or sub DPS character capable of enabling the different Stellar Elemental Reactions to be triggered while they are in the team. Their skill kit has the ability to either turn them into an off-field enabler or an on-field Stellar Reaction DPS character.

Cryo Traveler’s Elemental Skill allows them to deal Cryo damage to enemies on the field and summon a special Frostpierce Star. When this Frostpierce Star is on the field, it will follow the active character and periodically fires Cryo shards at enemies, dealing Cryo damage and apply the Cryo mark on enemies. However, when the Stellar-Conduct field is active, this Frostpierce Star will instead only deal Cryo damage to enemies in correspondence with The Traveler’s attacks, supplementing the traveler’s damage and allowing them to trigger the Stellar-Conduct Elemental Reaction constantly. Whenever this happens, Cryo Traveler will gain 1 stack of their special effects, stacking up to 8.

Upon using their Elemental Burst, Cryo Traveler will summon multiple ice javelins to fire at enemies, with the number of javelins being summoned increased proportional to the amount of stacks they have, dealing powerful Cryo damage to enemies. During this attack, if this attack activates Stellar-Swirl, the enemies will take additional damage of the corresponding element.

Additionally, after progressing in the main story for Snezhnaya, players will also be able to obtain an entirely brand new outfit for Aether or Lumine, complete with a brand new weapon and most probably an entirely brand new skill kit and abilities to go along with their Cryo element.

Brand New Characters

Of course with the release of a brand new Genshin Impact Update Patch, brand new characters will be introduced into the game. This time, 2 brand new characters will be introduced in the game in the form of the 4-Star Electro Character Alyosha and the 5-Star Cryo Character Odette

Alyosha is an upcoming 4-Star Electro Character that wields a polearm as his main weapon type. He specializes in quickly taking the field to deal damage and summon his familiar to aid the active character, then switch off the field to allow his hunting familiar to deal coordinated Electro attacks with the active character, enabling Electro and Stellar-Conduct Elemental Reactions even when he is off-field and also providing healing.

Alyosha’s skill kit and abilities makes him functions primarily as an off-field Electro enabler for the Stellar-Conduct and other Electro-related Elemental reactions teams, with his ability to deal off-field Electro damage, draw in enemies, heal the team and boost the team’s Elemental Reaction damage.

Alyosha’s main ability is his Elemental Burst, which allows him to summon his companion to hunt enemies. When his companion is on the field, whenever the active character attack enemies, his hunting companion will launch a coordinated attack against them, dealing Electro damage and applying the Electro mark onto enemies to enable different types of Electro-centric Elemental Reactions with the active character. Additionally, when his hunting companion is on the field, Alyosha will create a special field in front of him, with the field continuously drawing enemies into it and dealing periodic Electro damage to any enemies within the field, helping to crowd control enemies and apply additional Electro marks on to enemies.

Whenever his hunting companion attacks enemies, Alyosha will heal allies and increase the damage dealt by the team proportional to his Energy Regen. Additionally, when in the Stellar field, he will instead deal Stellar-Conduct damage and increase the Stellar-Conduct damage of all allies in the team, allowing him to become a very powerful support and sustain character in addition to being an amazing off-field Electro enabler.

Odette is an upcoming 5-Star Cryo Element character that wields a sword as her main weapon type. She specializes in summoning her solo dance double to perform various dance moves, dealing Cryo damage to enemies and allowing the entire team to transform their Superconduct and Cryo Swirl Elemental reactions into Stellar-Conduct and Stellar-Swirl Elemental Reactions, helping to boost their damage output.

Odette’s skill kit and abilities focuses on making her a sub DPS and support character that enables the entire team the ability to trigger Stellar-Conduct and Stellar-Swirl Elemental Reactions as long as she is in the team in addition to allowing her to enable and enhance the team’s Stellar-Conduct and Stellar-Swirl damage output with her effects.

Odette’s main gimmick lies in her ability to summon her Solo dance double, which periodically attack enemies, dealing Cryo elemental damage to them and apply the Cryo marks on the enemies. When any team members trigger a Superconduct or a Cryo Swirl Elemental Reaction, these damage will be turned into Stellar-Conduct and Stellar-Swirl Elemental Reaction damage instead. When this happens, Odette will also turn her damage into Stellar-Conduct damage or Stellar-Swirl damage based on which effect is triggered. 

While she has a solo dance double on the field, Odette can use a special enhanced Elemental Skill, allowing her to deal massive amounts of damage to enemies in front of her and deal either Stellar-Conduct or Stellar Swirl elemental reactions to enemies based on the mode she is in. Finally, upon using her Elemental Burst, Odette can deal a massive instance of Cryo damage to her enemies, immediately summon her solo dance double and gains a buff that increases her Stellar-Conduct or Stellar-Swirl elemental reaction damage.

Banner Schedule

The 7.0 Update Patch for Genshin Impact will be divided into 2 different phases just like normal update patches.

The first phase banners will run from the start of the update patch and last for a total of 21 days. The first phase banners will feature the brand new 5-star Cryo Sword Character Odette and the returning 5-Star Pyro Polearm Character Arlecchino alongside their signature weapons.

Several brand new events and celebration campaigns will be released during the Genshin Impact LunaI VIII Update Patch:
