Flins is a 5-star Electro polearm DPS from Nod-Krai and the on-field carry for Lunar-Charged from the Genshin Impact tier list. And this one is a main DPS focused on the unique Lunar-Charged reaction. With this Genshin Impact Flins build guide, we will help you get the most out of him for end-game content, and we will also go through his abilities, ideal setups, team synergies, and practical tips as well. Let’s start.

Genshin Impact Flins Build Guide

Flins is a must character to be pulled, and this means you need more Genesis Crystals on your hands to earn him as well. The easiest and most affordable way to collect them is Enjoygm because there is literally a Flins guarantee bundle designed to pull him with the highest rate. Before you go through this Genshin Impact Flins guide, make sure to take that step to secure him.

Who is Genshin Impact Flins?

Before we go through Genshin Impact Flins builds, just learn who he is. Kyryll Chudomirovich Flins is a Nod-Krai Lightkeeper. In combat he is an on-field Electro DPS whose kit exists to enable and amplify Lunar-Charged. His Skill infuses his kit, his short Burst is the damage button, and his utility passive converts the party’s Electro-Charged into Lunar-Charged while raising Moonsign by one level.

How to Obtain Flins?

Flins is a limited 5-star character available through event wish banners. His debut was from September 21 to October 2025 in Luna I 6.0. He had a rerun on 25 February–17 March 2026 (Luna V) and is having another on 1–22 September 2026 (Version 7.0 Phase 2, The Lone Light Knocks at Night, with Aino, Iansan, and Lan Yan).

To get him, you may need up to 180 wishes to reach the pity system, with soft pity usually starting around 75 to 80 pulls. If you’re free-to-play, you can gather Primogems through quests, events, and exploration to try your luck on his banner. Keep an eye on in-game notices for rerun schedules so you don’t miss your chance.

Note: You can increase these pull chances if you decide to top up Genshin Impact gameplay with Enjoygm. There are genesis crystal packs with a 27% off bonus compared to the in-game store, and through that, you can have more primogems, which will help you to increase your chance of obtaining Flins.

Flins’ Talents Explained

Flins’ abilities focus on empowering his Electro attacks and triggering Lunar-Charged damage. Upgrading these talents is important to get the most out of him. Here’s a breakdown of how each talent works and what you should focus on.

Flins' Talents Explained
  • Normal Attack: Pocztowy Demonspear: Five-hit polearm string. In Manifest Flame, Normal and Charged Attacks become Electro and cannot be overridden; Plunge is disabled. Level this last.
  • Elemental Skill: Ancient Rite: Arcane Light: Enters Manifest Flame for 10s (interruption resist + Electro infusion). Skill CD: 16s. While in Manifest Flame, Skill is replaced by Northland Spearstorm (AoE Electro). Spearstorm CD is 6s (4s at C1) and upgrades Burst into Thunderous Symphony for 6s. Skill generates particles on hit (2s ICD). Level this second.
  • Elemental Burst: Ancient Ritual: Cometh the Night: 80 Energy / 20s CD. Opening hit, middle hits, then a final Lunar-Charged slam. At Ascendant Gleam, extra middle hits if thunderclouds are present. After Spearstorm it becomes Thunderous Symphony: 30 Energy, one Lunar-Charged hit (plus an extra hit with thunderclouds at Ascendant Gleam). This short version is his real damage button. Level Burst first.

Passive Talents to Boost Flins

Flins has passive talents that strengthen his Lunar-Charged abilities and utility as:

  • Symphony of Winter (A1): Lunar-Charged DMG from Flins increases with Moonsign. +20% at Ascendant Gleam.
  • Whispering Flame (A4): Gains EM equal to 8% of ATK, cap 160. This is why 2,000+ ATK matters.
  • Moonsign Benediction: Old World Secrets: Party Electro-Charged becomes Lunar-Charged. Bonus Lunar-Charged Base DMG = 0.7% per 100 ATK, cap 14% (needs 2,000 ATK to cap). Flins also grants +1 Moonsign.
  • Utility: A Light in the Dark: Marks nearby Nod-Krai local specialties on the mini-map (one at a time). He can also decipher Wild Hunt / Wilderness Exile speech while in the party.

These passives make Flins a strong team contributor. He rewards high ATK builds and ensures your team can trigger Lunar-Charged reactions reliably.

Should You Invest in Flins’ Constellations?

Genshin Impact Flins is strong even without any constellations, but unlocking them makes him easier to play and increases his damage. Here’s a simple look at what each one does:

Flins' Constellations
  • C1 — Part the Veil of Snow: Northland Spearstorm CD becomes 4s. When the party triggers Lunar-Charged, Flins restores 8 Energy (once every 5.5s). Best first stop for smoother loops.
  • C2 — The Devil’s Wall: For 6s after Spearstorm, his next Normal Attack deals 50% ATK as AoE Electro DMG counted as Lunar-Charged. At Ascendant Gleam, while Flins is on-field, his Electro hits reduce the enemy’s Electro RES by 25% for 7s.
  • C3 — Stranger in the Night: Burst +3 (max 15).
  • C4 — Night on Bald Mountain: +20% ATK. Whispering Flame becomes 10% of ATK as EM, cap 220.
  • C5 — Exile’s Shadow: Skill +3 (max 15).
  • C6 — Songs and Dances of Death: Flins’s Lunar-Charged DMG +35%. At Ascendant Gleam, all nearby party members’ Lunar-Charged DMG +10%.

Investment order if you whale: signature weapon > C1 > C2 > C6. Community value snapshots put C1 around +13%, C2 another jump, C6 the large spike.

What You Need to Ascend Flins

Leveling Flins requires farming materials, and ascending Flins increases his stats significantly. At level 90, here’s a simple list of what you’ll need:

  • HP: 12,491
  • ATK: 352
  • DEF: 809
  • Ascension stat: 38.4% CRIT DMG

Total ascension materials (Lv. 1 → 90)

What You Need for Flins Talents

To max one of Flins’ talents to level 10, you will need:

  • Teachings / Guide / Philosophies of Vagrancy: 3 / 21 / 38
  • Broken / Reinforced / Precision Drive Shaft: 6 / 22 / 31
  • Ascended Sample: Queen: 6 (weekly boss)
  • Crown of Insight: 1
  • Mora: 1,652,500

Vagrancy books: Domain of Mastery on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday.

All three talents to 10: 9 / 63 / 114 books, 18 Queen, 3 Crowns, 4,957,500 talent Mora (about 5.38 million Mora if you also count character ascension + leveling books separately).

Talent priority: Burst > Skill >>> Normal Attack.

Best Genshin Impact Flins Builds: Artifacts, Weapons, and Stats

Flins works best as an ATK-focused DPS who also needs Energy Recharge to keep his Elemental Burst ready and CRIT stats to make Lunar-Charged attacks hit hard. That is how you can create a perfect character out of him. Your goal should be around 2,000+ ATK, 130–160% Energy Recharge (less if your team has good energy batteries), a CRIT ratio of roughly 50/175 or higher, and 100–200 Elemental Mastery.

Recommended Artifacts for Genshin Impact Flins Build

4pc Night of the Sky’s Unveiling is the best in slot:

  • 2pc: +80 EM
  • 4pc: When nearby party members trigger Lunar Reactions, if the wearer is on-field, gain Gleaming Moon: Intent for 4s: +15% CRIT Rate at Nascent Gleam / +30% CRIT Rate at Ascendant Gleam. All party members gain +10% Lunar Reaction DMG per different Gleaming Moon effect on the party. The same Gleaming Moon effect does not stack with itself.
Recommended Artifacts for Genshin Impact Flins Build

You can farm it in Frostladen Machinery. His teams already want Silken Moon’s Serenade on Columbina or Aino, so the party Gleaming Moon effects stack with Flins’s set.

When to use something else:

SetUse it ifDo not use it if
4pc Marechaussee HunterFurina team and you have a healerAny Columbina / Aino core. You lose the team Lunar DMG aura
4pc Thundering FuryC0 Flins + Fischl, you want shorter Skill CDC1+, or any team that already loops Skill comfortably
4pc Gilded DreamsTemporary while farming Night of the Sky’s UnveilingYou already have a 4pc NotSU with decent CRIT
2pc ATK / 2pc EMEarly buildLong-term. Finish the 4pc
  • Do not run 4pc Thundering Fury and 4pc Night of the Sky’s Unveiling as if they are equal. They are not. NotSU is the set the current meta is built around.

Recommended Weapons

Recommended Weapons
Bloodsoaked Ruins (5-star signature, BiS)Lv.90: 674 Base ATK, 22.1% CRIT Rate.
R1 passive: For 3.5s after Burst, Lunar-Charged DMG +36%. After triggering Lunar-Charged, gain Requiem of Ruin: +28% CRIT DMG for 6s and restore 12 Energy (once every 14s).
R5: +84% Lunar-Charged, +56% CRIT DMG, 16 Energy.
The “~30% lower ER need” line is a community estimate from the 12 Energy refund, not a weapon stat. Keep it as a note, not as fact.
Other 5-stars (typical current order)Bloodsoaked RuinsStaff of the Scarlet Sands (CRIT Rate; EM→ATK, good with A4)Fractured Halo (Ineffa’s signature; ATK + team Lunar-Charged DMG if a shield is created)Staff of HomaPrimordial Jade Winged-Spear

Main and Substats

Lunar-Charged scales with ATK and EM buffs from the team. Electro DMG% goblets are a trap.

PieceMain stat
SandsATK% (ER sands only if you cannot hit the ER floor below)
GobletATK% > EM. Not Electro DMG%
CircletCRIT DMG or CRIT Rate, whichever fixes the ratio

Substat priority: ER to requirement → CRIT Rate / CRIT DMG → ATK% → EM → Flat ATK

In-combat stat goals:

  • ATK: 2,000+ before Bennett/Iansan (2,400–2,500 is comfortable)
  • CRIT: ~50–70% CRIT Rate on the stat screen. 4pc Night of the Sky’s Unveiling adds 30% CRIT Rate at Ascendant Gleam, so you do not stack Rate past ~70% pre-buff
  • CRIT DMG: 175%+
  • EM: 100–200 on Flins himself. The rest should come from Sucrose / Aino / Ineffa
  • Energy Recharge: see table. The old 130–160% target is only for bad-battery teams or if you insist on his full 80-cost Burst every rotation

ER requirements (special Burst twice per field time)

Electro teammateC0 FlinsC1+ Flins
Strong battery (Electro Traveler)100–105%105–125%
Fischl / Ororon / Kuki110–120%115–135%
Ineffa / other Electro120–135%130–145%

R1 Bloodsoaked Ruins cuts these numbers by about 30%. C1 also refunds Energy on Lunar-Charged hits, so C1 + signature often means you can ignore ER substats and just stack CRIT and ATK.

You only need 170–200% ER if you want his full 80-cost Burst every other rotation. That is optional. Two Thunderous Symphony casts per rotation is the real DPS rule.

Talent Upgrade Priority

If you’re investing heavily in Flins, maxing all three talents to level ten is recommended for peak performance. So here is how the priority goes:

  1. Elemental Burst Your main source of Lunar-Charged damage.
  2. Elemental Skill Needed for form changes and Burst upgrades.
  3. Normal Attack Least urgent, mainly useful during Manifest Flame form.

Best Teams for Genshin Impact Flins

Flins only wants Lunar-Charged for a best Genshin Impact Flins build. He converts the team’s Electro-Charged hits into Lunar-Charged, and that damage scales with ATK, EM buffs, and RES shred, not Electro DMG%. Keep two things true every rotation:

  1. A Hydro unit is applying aura before he takes the field.
  2. The party is at Moonsign: Ascendant Gleam (two Nod-Krai characters). Flins + Ineffa, Flins + Columbina, or Flins + Aino all work.

Best Flins Team (Premium Lunar-Charged)

Best Flins Team (Premium Lunar-Charged)
SlotCharacterRole
On-field DPSFlinsManifest Flame driver, special Burst (Thunderous Symphony)
Electro battery / shieldIneffaParticles, shield, EM, Lunar-Charged base DMG buff, off-field damage
Hydro / Lunar bufferColumbinaBest Hydro for Flins. Off-field Hydro, team Lunar DMG%, personal Lunar-Charged damage, chance for thunderclouds to double-hit
Anemo / EM shareSucroseViridescent Venerer shred + EM share. Lunar-Charged likes EM and shred more than raw Elemental DMG%

Columbina is a strict upgrade over Aino here. She buffs both Flins and Ineffa and deals real personal damage. Keep Ineffa on Aubade of Morningstar and Moon and Columbina on Silken Moon’s Serenade so the party’s Gleaming Moon effects stack with Flins’ Night of the Sky’s Unveiling.

Substitutes:

  • No Columbina → Aino (free Nod-Krai Hydro; still enables Ascendant Gleam with Ineffa)
  • No Ineffa → Fischl or Ororon (particles + off-field Electro). Team DPS drops hard.
  • No Sucrose → Lan Yan (shield + VV), Xilonen (RES shred + heal), or Durin (RES shred + personal damage; wants a Hexerei partner like Fischl)

Alternative Premium Teams

  • Flins / Ineffa / Columbina / Xilonen: Trade some EM share for healing and universal RES shred. Use this when you cannot afford a no-healer Sucrose lineup.
  • Flins / Fischl / Columbina / Sucrose: Best no-Ineffa premium. Fischl covers particles and off-field Electro. Flins’ ER requirement stays in the 110–120% range.
  • Flins / Ineffa / Furina / Xilonen: Playable if you do not own Columbina. Furina adds Fanfare and Hydro, Xilonen heals so Fanfare ramps. This is the only case where Marechaussee Hunter is close to his BiS set.
  • Flins / Ineffa / Yelan / Sucrose: Yelan is the next Hydro after Columbina / Aino. Strong single-target Hydro and personal DPS, but she does not buff Lunar reactions the way Columbina does.

Do not build Flins as Hyperbloom or Overload. Those teams waste his conversion passive.

F2P-Friendly Flins Teams

Budget fallback: Flins / Aino / Fischl / Lynette: Avoid Barbara as the only Hydro unless you have no Aino — application and Moonsign value are both worse.

How to Play Flins / Best Rotation

Flins’ damage is the short Burst, not the 80-cost one. So, when you play him:

  1. Skill → enter Manifest Flame (10s, Electro-infused attacks, interruption resist).
  2. Skill again → Northland Spearstorm. Burst upgrades into Thunderous Symphony (30 Energy, 6s CD).
  3. Cast Thunderous Symphony, Normal Attack to rebuild energy and keep thunderclouds alive, Skill when it returns, Thunderous Symphony again.
  4. Swap off before Manifest Flame dies. Do not sit in the form with no Burst ready.

On-field combo (C0, two special Bursts)

  • E → E → N3 → dash → N4 → sQ → N4 → E → sQ → N3
  • (sQ = Thunderous Symphony. N-counts are flexible if you need to dash.)
  • C1 combo can fit a third special Burst because Spearstorm CD drops to 4s.
  • Use the 80-cost Cometh the Night only when you have leftover energy after two special Bursts, or on the first Abyss wave for the extra multi-hit. It is not the every-rotation button.

Premium Team Rotation (Flins / Ineffa / Columbina / Sucrose)

  1. Ineffa Skill (Burst every other rotation — skip it on rotation 1).
  2. Columbina Skill → Burst on rotation 1; Burst every other rotation after that if her ER is low.
  3. Sucrose Burst if up, otherwise Skill, then one Normal Attack.
  4. Flins combo above.
  5. Sucrose Skill (or Charged Attack if Skill is still down) and repeat.

Rough cycle: 20–25 seconds.

No-Columbina Rotation (Flins / Ineffa / Aino / Sucrose)

  • Aino EQ → Ineffa E (Q) → Sucrose ED → Flins combo
  • F2P rotation (Flins / Aino / Fischl / Lan Yan)
  • Fischl E or Q → Aino EQ → Lan Yan 2E (Q) → Flins E → E → sQ → NA filler → E → sQ

Combat Rules to Follow

  • Apply Hydro before Flins fields. Thunderclouds need Electro-Charged to exist.
  • Do not swirl Hydro off the enemy if it deletes the aura Flins needs.
  • Dash during his NA strings. Special Burst snapshot is not as brittle as old Xiangling, but buff uptime (Sucrose EM, Columbina Burst, Ineffa shield) still matters.

If Columbina and Ineffa both want Burst, alternate them. Do not dump both Ultimates every single loop unless both are overcapped on ER.

Conclusion

So, are you ready for the best Genshin Impact Flins? Now you know how. This guide equips you to build top-tier Flins, so it is time to experiment in-game for your playstyle with all the tips we brought here.
