Genshin Impact Stellar Reactions – Everything You Need To Know

What Are Stellar Reactions

First Introduced in Genshin Impact version update 6.7 alongside the Harbinger Sandrone, Stellar Reactions are special brand new type of Elemental Reactions that can be activated when the team consists of a character that has access to the Stellar Linchpin, allowing them to trigger the different Stellar Reactions. To check if the character can help trigger the Stellar Reactions for the team, players can check if they have an additional Talent in their Skill Kit that activates the different Stellar Reactions.

There are currently 2 different Stellar Reactions present in the game: Stellar Conduct and Stellar Swirl:

Genshin Impact Stellar Reactions

Stellar Conduct activates when hitting an enemy inflicted with Electro with a Cryo attack and vice versa, activating Superconduct when the party has a character with the Stellar Linchpin passive. When Stellar Conduct is activated, a Starlight Prism will be created, briefly transforming the surrounding area into a Polestar Field. The Polestar Field increases the base reaction coefficient of the Stellar-Conduct reaction, grants Cryo and Electro DMG Bonus to the party, and reduces the Physical RES of all enemies. Hitting enemies within the field with Cryo or Electro attacks will store the energy and grant buffs to the party. Additionally, allies with special passives and buffs that interacts with Stellar Conduct will have their damage be converted to Stellar Conduct Damage when this effect is triggered.

Stellar Swirl activates when any ally hits an enemy inflicted with Cryo with an Anemo attack. This reaction deals Anemo DMG and creates a Stellar Vortex that will explode after a period of time, dealing Cryo DMG. If Stellar Swirl is triggered with a Vortex nearby, its level will be raised, causing it to deal increased DMG in a larger AoE. Additionally, allies with special passives and buffs that interact with Stellar Swirl will have their damage be converted to Stellar Swirl Damage when this effect is triggered.

Like with other Elemental Reactions, both Stellar Conduct and Stellar Swirl’s reaction damage is influenced by the characters’ Elemental Mastery. However, depending on the character and their passives, the Stellar Conduct or Stellar Swirl they deal will be increased based on a specific stat listed in their special Stellar Passive.

It is also important to note that when the game refers to Stellar Glimmer, it refers to the damage output of all Stellar Reactions, so artifacts that boost Stellar Glimmer damage outputs simply boost the damage of any Stellar Reactions.
