Reverse: 1999 3.8 Rate Up Banners – Which Banner To Roll On

During the 3.8 Update Patch – Polymerized Dreams for Reverse: 1999, players will be able to have the chance to roll on several different rate up banners, featuring the brand new Characters Everecho and Cornerstone and several rerun banners.

Character Rate Up Banner – Everecho

The first phase rate up banner for Reverse: 1999 Version 3.8 Update Patch is the rate up banner for the brand new character Everecho

Everecho is a 6-Star Character of the Mineral Afflatus and the Conduit Archertype. She is the de facto Conduit team’s healer with her ability to constantly supply the team with its much needed damage buffs while also providing amazing healing effects.

Reverse: 1999 3.8 Everecho Banner

Everecho’s main gimmick lies in her Remembrance Song and Remembrance stacks, which are granted to all allies at the start of the battle. Whenever the team loses HP, Everecho’s Remembrance effect will automatically activate, and recover HP for the team. Whenever the team consumes Energy to activate their Conduit Incantations, Everecho will gain a stack of Mend for herself. Upon gaining 4 stacks of Mend, Everecho will automatically retrigger a previous Conduit Incantation from either allies or herself.

Everecho also has access to a special Chaotic Energy card, which can be used by the players actively if they want to activate her 2nd skill, providing the team with a massive heal and dispel negative debuffs on all allies. As a Conduit character, at the end of every turn, as long as Everecho have enough Energy, she can unleash her S1, dealing damage to enemies and grants all allies an damage buff or unleash her Ultimate, which deals damage to all enemies, reducing their resistances and grants critical damage buff to all allies based on her special stacks.

Should You Roll: It Depends. Everecho is a character that can only be used in the Conduit team as her gimmick and effects as a support and sustain character is not as potent as other Sustain characters like Marsha or Enigma when she is not in the Conduit team. Therefore, players should only roll for her if you intend on building a complete Conduit team.

Character Rate Up Banner – Cornerstone

The second phase of the Reverse: 1999 version 3.8 Rate Up Character banner is the rate up banner for the brand new Character Cornerstone.

Cornerstone is a 6-Star Character of the Mineral Afflatus and Riposte Archetype. She is the brand new Riposte team damage carry character that has the ability to deal massive amounts of passive and active Riposte damage to enemies.

Reverse: 1999 3.8 Cornerstone Banner

Cornerstone’s main role in a team is to be the main DPS character for the Riposte archetype team, with her ability to actively deal damage that is considered Riposte damage to enemies while also reducing the damage taken by all allies in the team and initiate constant counterattacks against enemies that attack the team. Unlike other Riposte characters who can only counterattack whenever they are attacked by enemies, Cornerstone is more active in that she will automatically uses her skill whenever the enemy turns ends, dealing Riposte damage to them even if they didn’t attack the team. She can also buff herself up with her various abilities, allowing her to boost her own damage output massively while also reducing the enemies’ damage to the team.

Upon using her Ultimate, Cornerstone will enter a special state where all of her damage will be enhanced even further and upgrades her Riposte attack, allowing her to deal even more damage to enemies.

Should You Roll: Not Really. While Cornerstone herself as a main DPS character is relatively strong in the current game meta, the Riposte archetype itself has a lot of flaws and not enough support for it right now, making it hard to optimize the damage output of Cornerstone. That being said, players can roll for her as an investment for the future when other Riposte support characters are released.

6-Star Rate Up Selector Banner – Ripples On The Water

Alongside the rate up banners for Everecho and Cornerstone, another special banner will be available at roughly the same time: the Ripples On The Water 6-Star Character Selector Banner. On this banner, players will be able to select 1 among the 6 different 6-Star characters to be the rated up character: Regulus, Mercuria, J, Hissabeth, A Knight and Ms. New Babel

Reverse: 1999 3.8 Ripples of the Water Banner

Importantly, the first 6* character players obtained from this banner will be guaranteed to be the character they selected as the rate up character. However, in exchange for this, the pity of this banner will not carry over to other banners.

Regulus is a character that serves as a substitute main DPS or sub DPS character for the Impromptu team, with her ability to direct the target of the Impromptu Incantation and boosting its damage output.

Mercuria is a character that specializes in providing amazing critical buffs to allies while also dealing a decent amount of damage to enemies whenever she uses her Ultimate. She excels in enabling Rank Up teams, with her new Euphoria granting herself and the entire team amazing benefits and damage boost whenever Incantations Rank 2 or 3 are used by the team.

J is a character that excels at providing the entire team with powerful shielding, damage reduction effect while also being able to deal good damage to enemies thanks to his Counterattacks. With his new Euphoria buff, J can be used in any team with great effect with his buff now allowing him to grant even more shield and provide amazing beneficial effects to the team based on how high his Burn stacks is.

Hissabeth is a character that specializes in applying Negative Statuses and spamming Ultimate. She has the ability to apply powerful debuffs on enemies to enhances her damage output and gain Moxie based on her debuffs on enemies. When she attacks the enemies, if they have her debuffs, she will deal even more damage with her new Euphoria buffs.

A Knight is a character who specializes in spamming his ultimate to deal increasing damage to enemies. The more A Knight uses his Ultimate, the more powerful it becomes, allowing him to snowball the fight the longer it is.

Ms. New Babel is a character whose skill kit revolves around dealing Riposte damage. She is capable of providing shield to the entire team while also allowing them to counterattack the first 3 times the shield is attacked.

Should You Roll: It Depends.

Among the 6 6-star characters on rate up, the ones with the most benefits that players will find are Regulus for the Conduit team and J for the Riposte and generic team building. That being said, these two characters aren’t that important either as they don’t serve as core characters for their respective archetypes.

For the other 6-star characters, they are generally quite dated and do not really fit into any particular meta team comps, so players should not consider rolling for them.

6* Rerun Banner – Enigma & Lorentz Butterfly

The last major banner that players should focus on during Reverse: 1999 3.8 Version Update is the rerun banner featuring the 2 6-star characters – Enigma & Lorentz Butterfly.

Reverse: 1999 3.8 Yearning of the Water Banner

Enigma is a 6-Star Arcanist of the Intellect Afflatus and is a character that specializes in preventing the team from taking damage while his powerful buff is active while also providing Dynamo stacks to fuel the team’s Electric Array, making him a powerful sustain and support character for the Dynamo Archetype team and any team that are in need of a sustain character.

Lorentz Butterfly is a 6-Star Arcanist of the Intellect Afflatus and is a character of the Lingering Glow Archetype. He specializes in supporting the Lingering Glow team by providing them with massive amounts of benefits, allowing the team to maximize their damage output.

Should You Roll: Yes You Should. Both Enigma and Lorentz Butterfly are core characters for their respective archetype teams, with Enigma being especially good to be used in any team alongside the other Dynamo characters to make a powerful wheelchair team for any DPS characters, while Lorentz Butterfly is crucial for the Lingering Glow team.

Conclusion

With that, we have gone over all of the important banners that will be rated up during Reverse:1999 3.8 Version Update Patch. We hope that with the help of this guide, players will be able to plan their pulls in advance and be able to obtain the best characters to complete their teams.
