Cheng Heguang is a 6-Star Arcanist of the Star Afflatus. He specializes in constantly dealing Extra Attacks to enemies whenever allies attack them and buff the entire team’s overall Extra Attack Damage output.

This attack counts as a Follow-Up Attack.
Importance: High
Analysis: Cheng Heguang’s Ultimate that helps to activate his unique gimmick, can deal amazing Extra Attack Damage.

Additionally to his skills and abilities, his inheritance level will also affect Cheng Heguang’ performance in a team:

RankEffectsAnalysis
1When Cheng Heguang takes action, gain 1 stack of [Trail of Steel]. After reaching 3 stacks, all allies gain [Metallic Trace] for 2 rounds, then remove all [Trail of Steel] stacks and gain +1 Moxie. An amazing ability that helps Cheng Heguang further boost the team’s damage output while also granting him a good amount of Moxie automatically.
2Upon entering combat, Critical Rate +10%.Grants a decent boost to Cheng Heguang critical stats.
3Upon entering combat, gain +2 Moxie. Ultimate does not count towards the Incantation Draw Limit. An amazing ability that helps Cheng Heguang uses his Ultimate much faster and allow his Ultimate to not take up space when drawing Incantation Skills.

Cheng Heguang is a 6-Star Arcanist that serves as both a Sub DPS and a Support character for various Extra Attacks teams, this makes it so that he can slot in a lot of different teams as long as they benefit from his Extra Attack Damage buff.

Cheng Heguang’s gameplay and skill kit is relatively self-explanatory: after using his Attack Incantation Skill, Cheng Heguang will attack an enemy and gain a special buff stack on himself. At a certain amount of buff stacks, his overall and ultimate damage is increased and his Ultimate will not use AP after a set amount of stacks. Using his Buff Incantation, Cheng Heguang grants the entire team an Extra Attack Damage buff and allows him to gain a special effect where whenever an ally attacks an enemy, Cheng Heguang will deal extra attacks to them, up to 3 times per turn.

Upon accumulating enough stacks and moxie, Cheng Heguang can use his Ultimate, dealing damage to an enemy, grants himself his buff incantation buff effect and grants him a special status. When under this special status, Cheng Heguang will decrease the hand size by 2, in exchange, whenever his inaction skills are drawn, they will be automatically converted to a random ally’s incantation skill, allowing Cheng Heguang to essentially thin the deck and copy allies’ Incantation skills. Additionally, when this effect is triggered, he will grant the team 1 more AP every turn.

These effects and skill kit make Cheng Heguang a decently strong Sub DPS and Support character for the Extra Attack team, capable of constantly dealing Extra Attacks, buff the team’s Extra Attack damage output and grants allies additional incantation skills.

As a sub DPS and Support character for the Follow Up Attack team, Cheng Heguang mainly wants Psychubes that help boost the team’s overall damage output.

The best Psychube for Cheng Heguang is:

In Their Figure
EffectEach Eureka consumed by allies grants Incantation Might +0.2% to all allies, stacking up to 30 times.
AnalysisDespite being a 5-Star Psychube, this Psychube grants Cheng Heguang the best buff for the entire team with its stackable Incantation Might increase effect.

For Cheng Heguang,as he mainly serves as a sub DPS Support character, players should use a Resonance build that both boost his own damage and his survivability.

Build Code:  APAkLUQtFCQENEBIYCZUKFFAQkIiRTAoECQBQQA

Players should use the Genuinity piece as his main Resonance piece for extra attack stats.

It Depends. While Cheng Heguang serves a very good generic buffer that can buff both the Ultimate Might and Follow Up Attack Damage output of the entire team, he is a bit too generic to be a must have character.

When compared to other generic buffers like Flutterpage or other archetype dedicated buffers like Semmelweis or Charon, Cheng Heguang buffing capabilities and effects are quite low in numbers and is generally not that strong overall, however, he is still a very strong sub DPS and Support character with the ability to copy other characters’ Incantation skills, making him a valuable character to have in certain team comps.

Overall Cheng Heguang’s Portrait levels don’t really affect his gameplay too much, with the majority of them only boosting his own damage output and doesn’t affect his support capabilities.

Generally speaking, the best stopping point for both low and high-spenders when investing in Cheng Heguang’s portrait stops at his P1 level, where he gains the ability to deal an additional instance of extra attack against the enemies. Any investment further is not recommended as it doesn’t really improve him too much.

The brand new Follow Up Attack Sub DPS and Support character with immense potential, Cheng Heguang makes his debut in Reverse:1999 . If players want to try out this brand new support character, then don’t hesitate to roll on Cheng Heguang’s banner with the help of Enjoygm – the best Reverse: 1999 Top Up site on the web!
