Reverse: 1999 Conduit Team Guide – Everything You Need To Know

What Is The Conduit Archetype

First introduced with the release of Coppelia and the subsequent release of The Twins in Global, The Conduit Archetype is a brand new archetype team introduced in Reverse: 1999 that make use of a brand new kind of gameplay mechanic: Energy Cards.

Reverse: 1999 Conduit Energy

Unlike the usual characters and gameplay mechanics in the game where players will play different characters’ incantation skills in the spelldock to deal damage to enemies and gain Moxie to activate Ultimate attacks on the enemies, the Conduit archetype characters works differently, relying on 2 brand new gameplay mechanics: Energy Cards and Harmonization.

Conduit Characters do not activate their Incantation Skills by using the spelldock, instead they will cast their Incantation Skills automatically when their Conduit is supplied with enough of the corresponding energy needed to activate the Incantation Skills.

Reverse: 1999 Conduit Team Mechanics

Upon entering the battle and at the start of every turn, every Conduit Characters in the team will generate special Energy Cards depending on their Elements and their special Incantation Skill effects. Upon using them, the entire team will gain energy that allows them to activate their Incantation Skills, with different characters’ incantation skills requiring specific amount of energy. For example, Coppelia can generate Mineral Energy cards that can be used to fuel her Mineral Incantation Skills, which cost 2 Mineral Energy to activate. Meanwhile, The Twins can generate both Mineral and Star Energy cards that can be used to activate their different Incantation Skills.

Reverse: 1999 Conduit Team Skill

Upon activating their Incantation Skills, Conduit characters will gain Harmonization stacks based on the amount of Energy Used and on the amount of Incantation Skill automatically activated. Once they have gained enough Harmonization, at the end of the next turn after they have consumed energy cards and before they casts their Incantation Skills, the characters will automatically uses their Ultimate on the enemies.

The conduit team’s main goals are very simple: use enough energy cards each turn to allow characters to have enough energy to activate their Automatic Incantation Skills and gain enough Harmonization to activate their Ultimates.

Important Things To Note

When playing the Conduit Archetype in Reverse: 1999, there are some important things players should take note of in order to bring out the most potential out of the team:

– Conduit characters are mainly consisting of Star and Mineral Afflatus characters, with The Twins filling both of these Afflatus, therefore, they will mainly generate Mineral and Star energy cards that can be used by anyone in the team. It is highly recommended that players use characters of the same Afflatus to generate Afflatus’ Energy cards in the same team in order to optimize the team’s overall playstyle.

– In a similar vein, it is highly recommended that players use a full team of Conduit characters in order to best optimize the team’s gameplay with the spelldeck being filled with Energy cards instead of Incantation Spells in order to best optimize the team’s gameplay rotation and overall damage output.

– The order of the members in the team matters since the energy consumption and distribution will change depending on the team’s order. Additionally, when the automatic Incantation Skills are triggered, it will be triggered in the deploy order, so it is highly recommended that players put the characters with Incantation buff skills in front for them to trigger and grants the team buffs.
