Reverse: 1999 Version 3.3 Rate Up Banners – Which Banner To Roll On
During the Version Update 3.3 – The Campaign’s Tale for Reverse: 1999, players will be able to have the chance to roll on several different rate up banners, featuring 2 brand new 6* characters Marsha and Igor in addition to several returning characters.
Brand New Character Rate Up Banner – Marsha (March 5th – March 26th)
The first rate up banner players can roll on is the rate up banner for the brand new 6* character introduced in version update 3.3 – Marsha.

Marsha is a 6-star Arcanist of the Beast Afflatus, whose primary playstyle revolves around enabling the Burn and Lingering Glow team through her ability to apply large amount of burn debuffs on enemies while healing and granting shield to allies based on the amount of Burn and Lingering Glow effect accumulated.
Marsha serves as the sustain character for the Lingering Glow team, helping to facilitate the team’s playstyle while keeping the team alive long enough for the Lingering Glow effect to deal amazing damage to enemies. Her ability to provide healing to allies automatically triggers whenever an ally is attacked by the enemies, as long as Marsha herself still has her buffs stacks. Additionally, when providing shielding to allies, she additionally cleanse a debuff from allies, buff allies with a special effect that prevents crowdcontrol effects from enemies and help reduce the amount damage taken by all allies by a massive amount. Offensively, Marsha can also use her debuff skill and Ultimate to inflict massive amounts of Burn stacks on enemies, helping to facilitate the Burn and Lingering Glow team effectively.
Should You Roll: Yes, Absolutely. Not only is Marsha an excellent character who is core to the Lingering Glow team, she is also a very strong sustain character overall with her ability to constantly provide massive amounts of shields to allies whenever they are attacked. Additionally, Marsha can self-enable her mechanics with her Ultimate to inflict Burn on enemies, making it so that it is not required for players to use her in a Burn or Lingering Glow team in order to make the best out of all of her buffs, allowing her to be a very strong universal sustain and support character. If players are lacking a good sustain character for any team, Marsha is a good option to consider getting.
6* Rate Up Selector Banner – Ripples On The Water (March 5th – April 16th)
Alongside the rate up banner for Marsha, another special banner will be available at roughly the same time: the Ripples On The Water 6* Character Selector Banner. On this banner, players will be able to select 1 among the 6 different 6* characters to be the rated up character: An-an Lee, Mercuria, Getian, Melania, Isolde and Kaalaa Baunaa.

Importantly, the first 6* character players obtained from this banner will be guaranteed to be the character they selected as the rate up character. However, in exchange for this, the pity of this banner will not carry over to other banners.

Getian is a character that is mainly used in Ultimate centric teams where you focus on spamming as much Ultimate as possible in a short period of time, making him a very decent character to have in Assassin Creed Ultimate spam team or the usual Moxie Ultimate Spam team. His skill kit allows him to set up a special Array that grants himself and the team Moxie when the array exists, allowing him to constantly generate Moxie for the team and help to boost the team’s Ultimate Might.

An-an Lee is a character that specializes in enabling the different Rank Up and Impromptu Teams with her abilities to boost the team’s Incantation Ranks with her Ultimate and Attacking skills. With the brand new Euphoria, An-an Lee can also be used in Impromptu Teams, as her abilities now also provide a decent amount of Impromptu stacks to allies while also allowing her to rank up allies incantations for even more Impromptu stacks.

Mercuria is a character that specializes in providing amazing critical buffs to allies while also dealing a decent amount of damage to enemies whenever she uses her Ultimate. She excels in enabling Rank Up teams, with her new Euphoria granting herself and the entire team amazing benefits and damage boost whenever Incantations Rank 2 or 3 are used by the team.

Melania is a character that serves as a universal support character for Ultimate oriented teams, with her amazing generic effects that allows the team to steal Moxie from enemies by attacking them. Melania herself excels at gaining a massive amount of Moxie for the entire team with her abilities and helps to supplement the team with her own Ultimate damage output.

Isolde is a core character of the Burn and Lingering Glow team. Isolde excels at inflicting enemies with massive amounts of Burn DoT debuffs with her abilities and follow up attacks, helping the Lingering Glow to build up their stacks extremely quickly. Additionally, Isolde also helps boost the team’s overall damage output by reducing enemies critical damage resistances.

Kaalaa Baunaa is a character whose skill kit relies entirely on her own effect known as Planets. Whenever Kaalaa Baunaa attacks or uses abilities, she will consume different Planet stacks to grant herself powerful damage buffs and help her trigger her Follow Up Attacks, allowing her to deal amazing damage to enemies. The more different Planet stacks she has, the more damage she does overall, making her an amazing burst DPS character.
Should You Roll: It Depends.
Among the 6 6-star characters on rate up, the ones with the most benefits that players will find are Isolde for the Burn and Lingering Glow team as she is a core component to make the team works and Mercuria for the Rank Up team as she offer amazing utility for the team with her brand new Euphoria effect.
For the other 4 6-star characters, their strength fluctuates greatly and doesn’t offer much in terms of team building unless you have the other pieces for the team you want to build first. So if you already have the other 4 6-star characters, you shouldn’t roll on this banner.
Brand New Character Rate Up Banner – Igor (March 26th – April 16th)
The other brand new 6* character being introduced in Reverse: 1999 update patch, Igor rate up banner will be available right after Marsha’s.

Igor is a 6-star Arcanist of the Beast afflatus whose gimmick and skill kit revolves around his special Ultimate effect which can be triggered constantly thanks to it being considered as Follow Up Attack. He is a brand new pioneer character of an entirely brand new Ultimate based team alongside specific characters in the game like Lopera and Moldir to utilize different effects such as bullets, Shrapnels and more.
Igor’s main gimmick and what makes him a decently good character is his Ultimate that functions similarly to a Follow Up Attack, which automatically triggers when he has enough Moxie. To enable Igor, by using his different abilities, he will be able to inflict Shrapnels stacks on enemies and gain different types of Bullets for himself. Upon triggering his Ultimate, Igor deals more damage and inflicts additional effects on himself and enemies based on the amount of Shrapnels stacks on enemies and Bullets on himself.
Should You Roll: It Depends. While Igor is a decently strong Ultimate Damage Based DPS character that serves as a pioneer of a brand new type of Ultimate damage skill kit, he has a lot of major problems that massively hinders his overall damage output.
For once, Igor’s skill kit makes him a very slow unit to set up, as he wants to gain all of his bullets to be able to dish out the most amount of damage to the enemies.
More importantly, Igor is extremely team restrictive, as in order to maximize his damage output, players will need to have specifically the 2 characters he wants in the same team: Moldir and Lopera. Missing either of them will massively reduce Igor’s overall damage output. Additionally, Ultimate Might teams in general in the meta of the game are not as strong as other archetype teams like Dynamo, Lingering Glow or Bloodtithe. Therefore, unless players want to invest fully into making a full team for Igor, rolling for him is not that recommended.
6* Rerun Banner – Sentinel & Charon
The last major banner that players should focus on during Reverse: 1999 Version update 3.3 is the rerun banner featuring 2 6-star characters – Sentinel and Charon. During this banner, both characters will have a 70% chance to appear as the 6* character when you obtain a 6* on the banner and the first 3 multies of the banner will be discounted from 10 pulls per multi to 8 pulls per multi.

Sentinel is a 6-star character of the Mineral Afflatus that fills the 2nd DPS and support role in a Bloodtithe team thanks to her amazing HP-based damage skill kit that can both reduce her own HP to raise the team’s Bloodtithe in addition to recovering her HP after attacking. Sentinel’s abilities allow her to constantly generate bullets and auto attack until her bullets are out, making her a very SP positive unit in addition to being an amazing Bloodtithe generator for the Bloodtithe team.

Charon is a 6-star Character of the Spirit Afflatus that is the main support enabler character for the Dynamo team, with his ability to reduce the amount of Dynamo stacks needed to be converted into energy in order to fuel the Electric Array. Thanks to this ability and his ability to grant the entire team with various beneficial buffs and debuff the enemies with powerful debuffs, Charon is one of the essential teammates that players should get if they want to play the Dynamo team alongside characters like Brume and Ulrich.
Should You Roll: Yes If You Don’t Have Them. Both characters on this banner are extremely core for their respective archetype teams – Sentinel for Bloodtithe and Charon for Dynamo, making getting either of them a big boon for when players want to start investing in either of these archetype teams. Therefore, if players don’t have these characters, considering rolling on this banner is highly recommended.
