The first phase banners of Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.8 update will begin on May 6th, 2026 and will last until May 27th, 2026, lasting for a total of 21 days. The 2 S Rank Agents that will have their rated up banners during this phase are the brand new S Rank Ice Anomaly Specialty Agent Promeia and the returning S Rank Ether Support Agent Lucia, alongside their respective signature W-Engines.

Promeia is a S-Rank Agent of the Ice Element and Anomaly Specialty. She specializes in performing multiple different tricks on enemies with her Special Attack to apply the Ice Anomaly effect on enemies while also dealing and gaining beneficial effects when enemies are inflicted with other Anomaly effects.

Zenless Zone Zero Promeia

Promeia’s skill kit revolves around dealing constant Basic and Skill Attacks to enemies to quickly raise the enemies’ Anomaly Gauge and trigger the Ice Anomaly effect on them, dealing massive amounts of damage. Additionally, her skill kit revolves around the Frostbite stacks and Frost Sentence Effect.

When attacking enemies with her attacks, Promeia will recover Frostbite stacks for herself and gain additional Frostbite stacks on herself when her or her allies trigger various Attribute Anomaly effects on enemies. Upon accumulating 50 Frostbite stacks, she can convert them into 1 Frost Sentence Stack, up to 2 stacks.

When dealing damage to enemies, if they are already inflicted with the Anomaly Attribute effects of other elements, Promeia is able to spend 1 Frost Sentence to trigger Abloom on the enemies, dealing powerful damage to them and recovering Decibels for herself. While doing her combo, Promeia can follow up certain abilities with her special EX Attack, performing various powerful tricks depending on which abilities she followed up.

Promeia is yet another powerful Anomaly Agent in the game that revolves around the team utilizing different Attribute Anomaly and Disorder effects to allow her to deal Abloom damage to enemies, making her suitable to act as a primary or secondary DPS character for the Anomaly team.

However, due to this fact, Promeia also has to compete with a lot of other Anomaly DPS options in the game like Miyabi, Yanagi, Vivian and more, therefore, her value is heavily dependant on if the players have access to other Anomaly characters that can perform well already. That being said, she is still a very strong character to have if players want to start investing in an Anomaly team.

Lucia is an S Rank Agent of the Support Specialty and Ether Element that specializes in increasing the team’s Max HP and boosting the entire team’s Sheer damage output, making her a perfect support character for any Rupture based team.

Zenless Zone Zero Lucia

Lucia’s main gimmick lies in her Special Attack and Ultimate, which can help her summon a familiar to fight alongside her on the battlefield and allows her to trigger quick assist to switch into the next character, buffing the team with her powerful Darkbreaker buff, which increases the entire team’s Sheer Damage based on Lucia’s own Max HP, helping to optimize the damage output of any Rupture Specialty Characters.

Upon using her Ultimate, Lucia can summon her familiar to attack the enemies and activate her Ether Veil effect, granting the team extra HP and allowing her to enter a special state. During this special state, while Lucia is off the field, she will initiate Aftershock attacks onto the enemies and heal allies, helping to supplement the team’s damage output.

Lucia serves mainly as a dedicated support for any Rupture Specialty teams with her ability to boost the entire team’s Sheer damage output, a stat that not many characters can help supplement. With her ability to both boost the Rupture specialty agents’ damage output and her ability to heal, she is a very valuable support character to have if players intend on building a Rupture specialty centric team.

Effect: When an Ice attribute equipper uses a Special Attack or EX Special Attack, their Ice DMG is increased by 20% for 40s, stacking up to 2 times, once per use of a skill. Repeated triggers refresh the duration. At 2 stacks, the equipper’s Abloom DMG dealt is increased by an additional 35%.

Promeia’s signature W-Engine massively boost her overall damage output and help to optimize both her Anomaly stats and her Abloom damage by a lot.

For others, this W-Engine can serves as a decently good stat stick for any Anomaly Agent, especially those of the Ice Element or those that can deal Abloom damage to enemies, making it a decently good W-Engine to have overall.

Effect: The equipper’s Energy Regen increases by 0.4/s. When the equipper activates Ether Veil or extends its duration, all squad members gain 25% increased DMG and 15% increased Max HP for 45s. Repeated triggers reset the duration. Only one instance of this effect can exist in the same squad.

Lucia’s Signature W-Engine helps to optimize her much needed HP stat to allow her to reach her maximum support effect while also allowing her to boost the team’s overall damage and max HP.

For other characters, the W-Engine effects can also be used for its energy regen increase effect, however, due to how the W-Engine stats mainly revolves around HP, it make it so that the buffs given to the team might not be as good as other Support W-Engines.

The 2nd phase rate up banners for Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.8 Update will start right after the first phase and last until the end of the update patch, lasting for a total of 21 days. The 2 characters on rate up will be the brand new S Rank Physical Rupture Specialty Agent Starlight Billy and the returning S Rank Fire Attack Specialty Agent Orphie and Magus, alongside their signature W-Engines.

Starlight Billy is a S-Rank Agent of the Physical Element and Rupture Class. He specializes in dealing powerful Physical Sheer Damage to enemies based on his Max HP and is capable of changing between 2 different modes to deal powerful damage to enemies with his Dodge Counter.

Zenless Zone Zero Starlight Billy

Starlight – Billy Skill Kit seems to be very simple but effective, with his abilities and skill allowing him to switch between 2 different modes: Free Mode and Bike Mode.

In Free Mode, Billy deals powerful Physical Sheer Damage to enemies and is capable of recovering his HP. Upon using his EX Special Attack, Billy is capable of entering his Bike Mode. In Bike Mode, Billy will continuously consume his own HP over time to massively enhance his overall damage output and allow him to take less damage. Every attack he does during his Bike Mode will accumulate Heat, and upon accumulating enough Heat stacks, Starlight Billy can use his Enhanced EX Special Attack to deal massive amounts of damage to enemies.

Like Other Rupture Specialty Agents, Starlight Billy mainly serves as a good Main DPS character for content that requires players to do Sheer damage to enemies. His skill kit and functionality in a team is almost the same as other Rupture Main DPS characters like Yixuan or Banyue, just that he’s of the Physical element. However, he is in steep competition with the other powerful Physical Main DPS character like Ye Shunguang, so players should consider getting him only if you don’t have other good Physical DPS options.

Orphie and Magus is an S Rank Fire Element Attack Specialty Agent that specializes in dealing concentrated Aftershock Fire Damage to enemies.

Zenless Zone Zero Orphie and Magus

Orphie and Magus’ main damage output comes from her EX Special Attack, which allows her to spend Special Attack Energy to constantly attack enemies with her laser beam, dealing aftershock damage to them the longer the beam lasts. The more Aftershock damage she deals, the more powerful Orphie and Magus will become.

When using her Ultimate, Orphie and Magus can unleash a powerful Fire attack on all enemies, dealing powerful Fire damage to them and trigger a Quick Assist, allowing other characters to take the field. While she is off-field, Orphie and Magus will generate her energy and automatically spend them to trigger her EX Special Attack, dealing aftershock damage to enemies even when she is off field.

Orphie and Magus is a decently unique Attack Agent that can serve as both a Main or Sub DPS depending on which team you use her on. Her main gameplan is taking advantage of different Aftershock effects of the team and dealing aftershock damage to enemies both when she is on and off-field and quickly switch off the field to make room for another DPS to take her place. To play Orphie and Magus properly, players will need to invest in a good quick swap team and a decently strong carry main DPS to take the field for Orphie and Magus.

Effect: Increases CRIT Rate by 20%. When the equipper launches a Special Attack, their Physical Sheer DMG increases by 10%, stacking up to 2 times and lasting 30s. Repeated triggers reset the duration.

Starlight Billy’s signature W-Engine helps to optimize his damage output massively thanks to its critical and HP stat increase in addition to its effect boost his overall Physical Sheer damage.

For other Agents, this W-Engine doesn’t do anything aside from being a stat stick, as no other characters can make use of its effects.

Effect: Increases CRIT Rate by 20%. When the equipper triggers an Aftershock that deals Fire DMG, their attacks ignore 15% of the target’s DEF for 8s. Can stack once every 3s, up to 2 stacks. Repeated triggers reset the duration.

Orphie and Magus’ signature W-Engine allows her to boost her own damage output and helps her to ignore a portion of enemies’ defenses when triggering aftershock attacks, optimizing her damage output.

For other characters, this W-engine is essentially a stat stick and doesn’t really have any value aside from that as no other characters can trigger the W-Engine’s effect properly.

And with that, we have gone over what we think are the best banners players should focus on during Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.8 Update Patch.

Don’t miss out the chance to obtain these amazing characters and their W-Engines by topping up in advance in Zenless Zone Zero with the help of Enjoygm today!
