Arknights Stronghold Protocol Event – Everything You Need To Know
What Is The Stronghold Protocol Event
Stronghold Protocol or as it is commonly known in Arknights – SP is a special limited time available event gamemode where players will be able to deploy special Operators onto the field to defend your base point by spending coins and activating special bond effects of factions.

The gamemode function essentially like an auto-chess game like TFT or HSR’s Currency Wars, where players will be able to obtain and deploy multiple copies of the same Operator on the field to strengthen their star rating and increase their stats or obtaining multiple Operators of the same faction to activate special Faction Bond Effects that strengthen the Operators in special ways.
Additionally, in this gamemode, aside from deploying the operators onto the field and equipping them with equipment, players won’t be able to control or remove Operators at all once the match has started, so players will need to control the field properly before starting the round. Between each round, players will be able to deploy new operators , remove operators and buy operators using the shop system, which can be upgraded by spending coins earned through various means throughout the match.
Upon finishing specific milestones and completing waves, players will be able to obtain a certain amount of special points, which can be accumulated towards obtaining the special rewards from the gamemode, including special Operator skins.
Now that we have gone over the general stroke of what the Stronghold Protocol gamemode is, here are some important things players need to take into account when playing the mode:
Operators Pre-match Management
Before entering a game of Stronghold Protocol, players will be able to manage the stats of the different Operators being brought into the game and what type of skills and modules they will have based on the actual Operators you have in your roster.

Depending on which operators you have already built, specific operators will be available in the gamemode. However, players can also borrow operators from others by using the Support function in the Stronghold Logistic, where you choose up to 20 Support Operators to add into your roster. This allows you to focus specific Operators you want to have during the game and use Operators from others to help make it easier to activate Faction Bond Effects. However, please note that the more operators you add through the Support function, the more Operators will show up in the shop, making it harder for you to aim for specific Operators Faction build when resetting shop.
Alliances and Strategies
The key point and mechanic of this gamemode, alliances and strategies are important things that players need to keep in mind for every match of the game.
Alliances are essentially special buff effects that can be activated once a set number of characters from the same faction or bond are present on the field at the same time. Alliances are divided mainly into 2 different types: Core Alliance and Add-on Alliances.

Core Alliances are the primary faction bond effect that will provide buffs to the characters of that Alliances once 3 or 6 different characters or the same bond are present on the field at the same time. These buff effects are unique to each Alliance’s faction bond.
Add-on Alliances are secondary alliances effect that are present on specific Operators and can only be activated when a certain number of characters with Add-on Alliances are present on the field. These buffs are generally less faction dependent and will instead provide general beneficial effects when triggered like extra money or extra stats for the team.
Strategies are special buffs that players can choose at the start of each run, with specific requirements whenever you complete specific Alliance effects during the run. Depending on the Strategies you picked, it is more beneficial for you to try and fulfill the strategies’ effects to gain more buffs during each run by going specific playstyles and alliances during the run.
Additionally, it is very important to note that before starting a match, there will be ban effects that limit certain alliances and strategies’ effects. These bans are randomized and can either ban a specific Alliance outright or only ban certain Operators from being deployed in the match. So players need to take this into account when starting a match to avoid not being able to complete Alliances to gain the buffs.
During Match Management
Now that we have gone over the things to take note of before the match starts, let’s go over everything players need to pay attention to during a match.
Stronghold Protocol is a multiplayer co-op mode where 4 players will have their own areas and sections that they need to defend. The result of each defense will be reflected in the shared HP pool, which can be decreased if any players let enemies reach the blue box within the time time limit of a round.
There are 2 main phases: preparation phase and battle phase.

During the preparation phase, players can obtain Operators by buying them at the shop, upgrade the shop for better operators and deploy operators onto the field. Additionally, during this phase, players can get and equip Operators with gears, granting them special stats and effects and even grant extra Alliances effects to certain Operators, helping to fulfill the Alliance buffs- requirements easier.
Meanwhile, for the battle phase, players will no longer be able to control the operators deployed on the field and the battle will automatically play out as Operators defend the base. If enemies are able to breach the defense, they will decrease the HP and if the HP reaches 0 , players will be defeated. Every round, the maximum HP that can be lost is capped at 10 regardless of how many enemies players let through to pass that point, so players should take this into consideration as well.

The most important thing for players to consider during a match is Economy. Coins are the most essential currency during a match and players will need to manage it properly. Balance between upgrading the shop to get better tier operators and buying operators in order to achieve victory.
Additionally, it is very important to note that the pool of Operators are shared between players, meaning if a single player gets multiple copies of an Operator they need, others won’t be able to obtain that Operator easily. Therefore, plan properly when challenging the stages and take note of the Alliances buffs that other players are aiming for.
