When Does NTE Version 1.2 Actually Launch?

The NTE 1.2 update arrives on July 8, 2026, right after the current version winds down. This patch also marks the official launch of Neverness to Everness on Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the Samsung Galaxy Store, bringing the game to even more players across PC and mobile. The patch itself follows the familiar six-week cycle, with two banner phases of roughly three weeks each.

Shinku and Iroi: The New Limited S-Class Characters

The biggest stars of the NTE 1.2 live streaming summary are the two new limited S-Class characters from Containment Strike Unit 2 (CSU-2): Shinku and Iroi. Both were shown off with full kit reveals, and they look like they’ll shake up team building in meaningful ways.

Shinku Overview

Shinku is a Cosmos DPS who uses the Condensate Arc Type. She operates with two distinct combat states. In her normal form she builds the Divine Spirit gauge through consistent attacks. Once that gauge fills, Shinku enters her powerful Rampage form (Surging Crimson state), where her entire kit transforms, attacks become far more aggressive, and she gains access to a stronger Ultimate.

If Shinku stops attacking for too long she can still enter Surging Crimson, giving her flexible ramp-up options. On the overworld she moves and climbs faster than most characters, and her Charge Enhancement lets off-field teammates gain energy whenever anyone in the party triggers Charge. Shinku feels like a high-skill, high-reward on-field carry who rewards players who enjoy staying aggressive and managing resources in real time.

Iroi Overview

Iroi is an Anima support character who fights alongside three sheep: Morpheus, Icelos, and Phantasos, and uses the Liquid Arc Type. She builds Imagination through basic attacks and certain skills. Her Hold Skill puts teammates into a Regression state (invincible, with her lambs inheriting part of her offensive stats), and any character who hits 0 HP while Iroi’s in the party automatically enters Regression.

Her Ultimate can be used either as a powerful heal or as damage depending on how much Imagination she has built, and it fully revives switched-in characters from Regression. Iroi also has strong team utility through her support skill and a Blossom Enhancement that helps Vita Buds regrow quickly. On the overworld she can interact with small animals twice a day for useful items. Iroi looks like she’ll be a premium sustain and buffer option, especially valuable in tougher content where survivability and consistent team damage matter.

Remember, both characters come with special Bond quests and will play important roles in the new story content.

The 999 Nights Permanent Mode: The Heart of Version 1.2

If the new NTE characters got you excited, the 999 Nights mode stole the show during the livestream. This is a permanent new game mode built around the popular in-universe DSD POP Anomaly tabletop game “1000 Less 1 Night” (or 999 Nights). The story takes a delightfully lighthearted turn as the Appraiser (you), Mint, Iroi, and Shinku sit down to play the board game only to get isekai’d into its fantasy world on the Warren Continent.

The 999 Nights Permanent Mode

Once inside, you can form a four-member party with distinct classes: you as Swordsman, Mint as Barbarian, Iroi as Mage, and Shinku as Dragon Knight. You explore distinct regions, battle monsters, clear dungeons, earn EXP and randomized gear (seven equipment slots with set bonuses and special accessories), trade with the Fuzz Merchant, and complete quests. Equipment can only be changed at campfires, adding a layer of strategic planning. The mode has strong replayability with new regions, activities, and stronger gear unlock across multiple playthroughs, and it ties into a real gear system that feeds back into the main game.

You will also be able to unlock and customize a large number of new outfits directly from the 999 Nights event (including three each for Shinku, Iroi, Mint, and Zero), with full dye support and the ability to mix and match pieces while inside the mode. These outfits carry over to Hethereau as complete sets. Special visual effects appear on certain pieces (especially Shinku’s Dragon Knight look), and DSD POP is also launching a physical Collector’s Edition of the 999 Nights tabletop game alongside this update.

Pro Tip: try redeeming NTE codes as well. They could hide some important resources that you might need for more upgrades.

New Vehicle, Arcs, and Visual Upgrades

The NTE version 1.2 livestream also revealed the Draco, a sleek new Regalia motorcycle designed specifically with Shinku in mind. It features unique visual effects, a glowing trail, enhanced drifting mechanics, and the ability to jump which are useful for showing off in Hethereau or during the new mode.

Two new limited-time signature Arcs arrive alongside the characters: Blushing Mirage (Shinku’s signature) and The Wrong Gate (Iroi’s signature). These will run on their own limited banners during each phase and are expected to significantly enhance the new characters’ playstyles.

Plenty of new outfits were shown for both limited characters as well as existing roster members, many of them tied directly to the 999 Nights aesthetic. Dyes and texture variations give players tons of customization options.

New Events and Quality-of-Life Improvements

Neverness to Everness Version 1.2 brings a healthy roster of events, including the deduction-style Going, Going, Gone!, the prop-hunt chaos of Shadow-n-Seek, Fishing Frenzy, Warren Lucky Flip, Gold Clash, Pixel Surge, Fons Rush, and Stamina Recharge. A new Riichi Mahjong variant is being added to Little Sparrow, and there’s a 7-day login bonus that gives 10 Solid Dice plus a Summer Special Gift Pack containing an S-Class Standard Character Selection Box (delivered via mail once unlocked).

 Going, Going, Gone!

Quality of Live Improvements

On the quality-of-life side, players get a long-requested Sea Angler fish tank system where you can keep and care for caught fish in your house (with auto-feeders and proper pH control). Rare fish can even be mounted and displayed on the back of vehicles.

The new Decor Blueprint feature lets you save and share complete house designs with a single code (up to 20 stored), while long-press bulk selection for upgrade materials, refined avatar displays, improved portable music player controls, the ability to hide specific outfit parts, and reduced difficulty for certain Anomaly Hunt bosses all make daily life smoother. Elyms also received a full visual redesign.

Banner Schedule and Pull Planning

Phase 1 features Shinku (July 8 – July 29, 05:59 UTC+8) with her signature Arc Blushing Mirage. Phase 2 brings Iroi (July 29 – August 19, 05:59 UTC+8) with The Wrong Gate.

Both banners include milestone rewards such as glider skins, vehicle liveries, and character skins. The livestream also dropped three limited-time redeem that expire very soon. You can grab them from our Neverness to Everness redeem codes guide quickly if you haven’t already.

How to Prepare for NTE v1.2 Right Now

With the update arriving in just over a week, now is the time to finish up any lingering 1.1 content, stockpile resources, and decide your pull priority. Shinku looks like a flashy, high-agency DPS that will reward investment, while Iroi brings strong team utility and survivability that many players have been craving. The permanent 999 Nights mode adds meaningful long-term progression and a completely different gameplay loop that should keep both casual and hardcore players engaged for months.

Whether you’re chasing Shinku’s signature Arc Blushing Mirage to maximize her Rampage form or simply want to accelerate your gear progression and outfit collection in the 999 Nights mode through extra pulls and resources, topping up via Enjoygm remains one of the most straightforward options players turn to for keeping their roster competitive without the stress of in-app pricing.

NTE Topup

Conclusion

And that is it. The NTE v1.2 live streaming summary shows that Hotta Studio is delivering on multiple fronts at once: strong new characters, a genuinely innovative permanent mode, meaningful quality-of-life upgrades, and plenty of events to keep the daily loop fresh. So, get yourself ready before the path arrives here.
