Velina is an upcoming S Rank Agent of the Anomaly Specialty and the brand new element coming to Zenless Zone Zero – the Wind Element. She specializes in dealing constant Wind damage to enemies in order to trigger the different Wind Attribute Anomaly Effects while also summoning Cyclones to aid her in the battle.

Zenless Zone Zero Velina

– Basic Attack: Perform up to 5 consecutive attacks forward, dealing Wind DMG;

During the 5th attack, Velina’s Anti-Interrupt level increases and DMG taken is reduced by 40%.

– Special Attack: Fan out a gust of wind forward, dealing Wind DMG.

– EX Special Attack: Wind Shear – Rising Clarity:

Dodges backward, then fans out a massive wind projectile to attack enemies, dealing Wind DMG;

During the backward dodge, has dodge properties—if an enemy attack is successfully dodged, triggers [Vital View];

After activating this skill, press Normal Attack to chain into the 5th hit of [Basic Attack];

Character is invulnerable while using this skill.

EX Special Attack: Wind Shear – Triple Severance: With enough energy, press or hold Special Attack after [EX Special Attack: Wind Shear – Rising Clarity] to activate:

Continuously swings the fan, dealing Wind DMG to enemies;

After activating this skill, press Normal Attack to chain into the 5th hit of [Basic Attack];

Character is invulnerable while using this skill.

EX Special Attack: Wind Shear – Eye of the Storm:

When [Kazahana] is 90 or above, hold Special Attack or Normal Attack to activate:

Velina summons a [Wide-Area Cyclone] that continuously attacks enemies and triggers the [Quick Assist] of the previous Character;

[Wide-Area Cyclone] lasts for 5s, dealing Wind DMG to surrounding enemies once every 0.5s.

– Chain Attack:

When a Chain Attack is triggered, select the character to activate:

Transforms into a hurricane, unleashing consecutive attacks on enemies, followed by a Finishing Move, dealing massive Wind DMG.

Character is invulnerable while using this skill.

– Ultimate: Unleashes multiple attacks ahead, dealing massive Wind DMG;

After using this skill, triggers the previous Character’s Quick Assist;

Character is invulnerable while using this skill.

– Core Passive:

When Velina’s initial Energy Regen exceeds 1.2, for every 0.01 in excess, DMG dealt increases by 0.22%, Anomaly Mastery increases by 0.5 points, up to a maximum increase of 84 points;

When Velina enters the battlefield, she gains 45 [Kazahana]. In Investigation Zone mode, this effect can trigger once every 180 seconds. When Velina activates [EX Special Attack: Wind Shear – Rising Clarity] or [EX Special Attack: Wind Shear – Triple Severance], she gains 45 [Kazahana]. The maximum [Kazahana] is 135 points;

When [Wide-Area Cyclone] summoned by Velina hits enemies under the [Contamination] state, it triggers the [Dye] effect, transforming into a [Wide-Area Cyclone] of the corresponding attribute and dealing DMG of that attribute;

When [Wide-Area Cyclone] attacks hit enemies, the enemy’s Wind Anomaly Buildup RES and the corresponding Anomaly Buildup RES after [Dye] are reduced by 8% for 35 seconds; repeated triggers reset the duration;

When Velina triggers [Vortex], she summons a [Micro Cyclone], dealing Wind DMG. When [Micro Cyclone] and [Wide-Area Cyclone] dissipate, they trigger an explosion. When this explosion hits enemies under Wind Attribute Anomaly, it deals [Abloom] DMG to the target: an additional instance of Attribute Anomaly DMG is calculated, dealing fixed 160% and 280% multiplier Wind Attribute Anomaly DMG;

When Velina triggers [Vortex], she gains 1 [Wind Erosion]. This effect can trigger once every 3 seconds. When Velina has 2 [Wind Erosion], the next time she triggers [Vortex], she consumes 2 [Wind Erosion] to increase the DMG Multiplier of that [Vortex] by 300%, and instead of summoning a [Micro Cyclone], she summons a [Wide-Area Cyclone]; triggering this [Vortex] will not grant [Wind Erosion];

When a [Wide-Area Cyclone] is present on the field, each time any squad member defeats an enemy, the duration of the [Wide-Area Cyclone] is extended by 5 seconds. This effect can only trigger once per [Wide-Area Cyclone]. Only one [Wide-Area Cyclone] can exist at a time.

– Additional Ability:

When another character in your squad is an [Anomaly] character or shares the same attribute:

Velina’s [Windswept] and [Vortex] DMG is increased by 12%. When activating her [Ultimate], gain 2 [Wind Erosion].

In [Core Passive: Kazahana Blooms], the Anomaly Buildup RES reduction effect caused by [Wide-Area Cyclone] is additionally increased by 8%, the Daze dealt is increased by 30%, and the Anomaly Buildup dealt is increased by 15%.

– C1: While [Additional Ability: Tea Party Etiquette] is active, [Wide-Area Cyclone] deals 20% extra Daze; when Velina triggers [Vortex] and [Windswept], ignore the target’s All-Attribute RES by 18%.

– C2: When Velina triggers [Windswept], she also gains 1 [Wind Erosion]. This effect can trigger once every 5s at most; After [Wide-Area Cyclone] is dyed, it can accumulate Anomaly Buildup of the corresponding attribute, and the Anomaly Buildup accumulated by this attack does not participate in Anomaly DMG calculation.

– C4: Velina’s ATK increases by 10%; when triggering [Vital View] via [EX Special Attack: Wind Shear – Rising Clarity], restores 1 [Assist Point].

– C6: After the 4th hit of [Basic Attack: Fan Dance], [Dodge Counter], [Quick Assist], or [EX Special Attack], hold Icon_Normal to consume 2 [Assist Points] and trigger [Assist Follow-Up: Negotiation Technique]; when a heavy attack from [Assist Follow-Up: Negotiation Technique] hits an enemy afflicted with a Wind Attribute Anomaly, it deals [Abloom] DMG to the target: triggers an additional instance of Attribute Anomaly DMG, dealing a fixed 120% multiplier of Wind Attribute Anomaly DMG; when Velina’s attacks hit an enemy afflicted with a Wind Attribute Anomaly, Anomaly Buildup is increased by 20%; when Velina applies [Windswept] to an enemy already afflicted with [Windswept], the DMG of the new [Windswept] is increased based on the remaining duration of the previous [Windswept], with each second of remaining duration increasing DMG by 2%, up to a maximum increase of 36%.

Effect: The equipper’s Anomaly Proficiency increases by 60. When the equipper uses an [EX Special Attack], the [Vortex] and [Windswept] DMG they deal increases by 9% for 40s, stacking up to 2 times, and repeated triggers reset the duration. While at 2 stacks of this effect, the whole squad’s Anomaly Proficiency increases by 60 for 40s, and repeated triggers reset the duration. This effect is unique to the whole squad.

Velina skill kit revolves around constantly summoning different types of Cyclones onto the field in order to transform the Cyclone into different types of elemental cyclones that reduces the enemies’ Attribute Anomaly Resistances of both the Wind attribute and the corresponding Attribute, helping her to deal damage to the enemies and trigger Abloom.

Velina’s skill kit main goal is to summon cyclones using her EX Special Attack, which can be triggered whenever she accumulates enough stacks of energy by attacking enemies on the field. When cyclones are summoned, if they come into contact with enemies under Attribute Anomaly Effects, they will transform and deal both Wind and the corresponding Attribute Anomaly Element damage to enemies, reducing their Anomaly Resistances of the corresponding element. Upon the cyclones disappearing, they will trigger an explosion, dealing Wind damage to enemies. If the enemies are under the Wind Attribute Anomaly effect, this damage will trigger an Abloom damage effect instead, dealing even more damage to enemies.

The more Vortex and Wind Attribute Anomaly Velina trigger, the more cyclones she summons and the more powerful she becomes.

Velina fits perfectly into the role of a sub DPS enabler Anomaly Agent for the Anomaly team as she is capable of massively reducing the enemies’ Anomaly Attribute Resistances and help to trigger Abloom, massively boosting the damage output of the Anomaly team. Additionally, since she is the only Wind Attribute character as of now, she is the only character that can trigger the Wind Attribute Anomaly effect, making her a very interesting and unique character to have.
