Pukaland has been sitting on the Hethereau skyline like a dare you were not allowed to take. With NTE Version 1.4, that gate finally opens. Hotta Studio’s “For Whom the Verses Mourn” preview special program confirmed that Neverness to Everness version 1.4 goes live on September 30, 2026, bringing the first limited S-Class Psyche carry in Blackbird, the Livehouse guitarist Akane Rin, a thousand-floor tower, Porsche Collab Part 2, and a theme-park map stuffed with rides you will actually want to replay. If you have been holding Annulith through Linko’s board, this is the patch that forces a decision.

And yes, do not forget to lock a pull plan by stocking the currency that actually moves banners. Enjoygm is the cleanest way to top up Neverness to Everness without burning extra on official store rates. You get fast delivery, broad payment options, and the savings when Phase 1 and Phase 2 both want signature Arcs just from this platform.

NTE Version 1.4 Release Date and Patch Identity

Neverness to Everness version 1.4 is officially titled For Whom the Verses Mourn. Global launch is September 30, 2026, after Version 1.3 Phase 2 (Linko) ends. The preview special program aired September 16, 2026 at 19:30 UTC+8 on the official NTE Global YouTube and Twitch channels.

The patch runs in two halves:

WindowExpected dates (UTC+8)Headline content
Version 1.4 launchSeptember 30, 2026 after maintenancePukaland opens, Blackbird board, new story episode
Phase 1Sept 30 – Oct 21, 06:59Blackbird + Lacrimosa rerun
Phase 2Oct 21 – Nov 11, 06:59Akane Rin + half-anniversary timing
Codes deadlineSept 20, 2026 23:59Livestream redeem codes expire

Those Phase 2 dates also line up with Japan’s expected 0.5 anniversary window, so expect extra login dice and shop campaigns on top of the listed events.

If you want the same style of recap we used when Duskmoor dropped, the earlier NTE 1.3 livestream is the cleanest way to compare how much bigger 1.4 is than “Rising from the Moonlit Fog.”

NTE 1.4 Livestream Codes

The special program dropped three codes. They expire September 20, 2026 at 23:59 UTC+8, so you better treat them as the first action. To learn what the new codes are along with their redeeming steps, you can check through our Neverness to Everness code guide.

The program also confirmed extra freebies outside the codes: 10 Solid Dice from a login event, another 10 Solid Dice plus the Like Clockwork avatar frame via mail, plus 2,000,000 Fons and Akane’s House Special outfit as a version gift. That is not a full guarantee on either limited board, but it is enough to swing a late pity.

Neverness to Everness 1.4 Banner Schedule

Limited Boards still share S-Class pity, Points Gift progress, and Board Modification. That means leftover Linko pity transfers into Blackbird, then into Akane Rin, as long as you stay on Limited Boards.

Neverness to Everness 1.4 Banner Schedule

We will be betting new banners under different phases as:

Phase 1 — Blackbird and Lacrimosa

  • Blackbird: new limited S-Class, Psyche, Instant Cycle main DPS
  • Lacrimosa: rerun board, with her Skin Perks event returning
  • Arc Research Programs: Blackbird’s Roostfeather Special and Lacrimosa’s Nocturne Special

Dice-roll counts are shared across current Limited Boards. Skin Perks counts are separate per board, so a Lacrimosa skin chase does not eat Blackbird’s skin counter.

Phase 2 — Akane Rin

  • Akane Rin: new limited S-Class, Lakshana, mid-to-long-range guitar DPS
  • Arc Research Program: Akane’s Celestial Special

Special Issue Arc Research Programs share pull counts and guaranteed-drop thresholds with each other. If you dump the first half into Roostfeather Special, Celestial Special in Phase 2 is already partway to pity. Plan that before you “just do a 10-pull” on an Arc you will not use.

Exact wearer lock was presented as the new limited signatures. Treat them as the premium finish for Blackbird and Akane Rin rather than general-use sticks.

Blackbird in NTE Version 1.4 — Kit, Role, and Why She Matters

Blackbird is no longer flavor text at the witch’s house in Bridge Crossings with the new NTE version 1.4. She is the first limited S-Class Psyche on a Limited Board, and the new update finally put numbers on the fantasy.

Blackbird in NTE Version 1.4 — Kit, Role, and Why She Matters

Combat Identity

  • Esper attribute: Psyche
  • Combat trait: Instant Cycle
  • Esper ability: Naenia Merula — she plants suggestions through speech and steers what the target does next
  • Ultimate: Requies Animarum — Blackbird becomes the Witch of Deliverance, dumps a Psyche barrage on the marked target, and grants a short team ATK buff
  • Transformed basics: Pyreflame, up to five chained attacks while she is wreathed in flame

Instant Cycle is the line that should make veterans sit up. Cycle energy has defined several of the game’s best teams since launch, and giving that trait to a dedicated Psyche carry is how Version 1.4 tries to make Psyche more than a reaction partner. Psyche plus Lakshana still builds Stain; Psyche plus Chaos still builds Nova. That is why a Blackbird core can sit next to a Lakshana support now and next to Akane Rin six weeks later without rebuilding the whole box.

Pull Advice

Pull Blackbird if you lack an on-field Psyche carry or you want Instant Cycle on a limited unit instead of coping with standard-board Psyche options. Skip or soft-pity if your account is already built around a finished Anima or Lakshana hypercarry and you would rather wait for Akane’s more flexible range kit. Signature Arc is a luxury, not a requirement on week one and her transformation already carries the burst window.

Akane Rin — Livehouse StarSign, Lakshana Blades, Phase 2 Priority

Akane Rin works part-time at Livehouse StarSign, used to hunt anomalies for a living, and treats an electric guitar as a mid-to-long-range weapon. Strumming fires high-speed sound blades. The new NTE version 1.4 update put her upgrade materials on screen specifically so you can pre-farm during Phase 1 instead of scrambling on October 21.

Akane Rin — Livehouse StarSign, Lakshana Blades, Phase 2 Priority

She is Lakshana, which is the same attribute space Chaos already occupies, but Akane’s advertised range profile is different. Chaos wants plunge windows and Warrant detonation. Akane wants space, string pressure, and a stage-show burst. That makes her the better “second half” pull for players who already spent Phase 1 on Blackbird and still need a Lakshana who does not demand the same melee commitment.

A spinoff story in the second half is built around Akane’s band circle and the side-cast you have already met in extras. You can expect Nanari, Hania, and Kurage to show up if you have been following those side chapters. Japan’s broadcast also framed her around a “legendary band” thread, which is why the patch title sounds like a requiem instead of a carnival flyer.

Pukaland — The Real Destination of Neverness to Everness Version 1.4

Pukaland is the southeast New Holland theme park you have been staring at from the wrong side of the fence. NTE version 1.4 makes it a full location, not a skybox. The flagship event Pukaland Travelogue lives here. Inside the park the program walked a drop tower on Puka Avenue: time Fire-button presses, fill a Firepower gauge, send the tower higher, and at max height the ride leaves the rails for Pixies Waltz.

Pukaland — The Real Destination of Neverness to Everness Version 1.4

You can look forward for:

  • Standard park rides and fair stalls used as event nodes
  • A haunted house tied to Blackbird’s witch aesthetic
  • Photo and minigame loops for the Travelogue pass
  • Fast-travel once the park is unlocked, so you are not running the gate every reset

Story is split the same way as the banners. First half delivers a new main episode. Second half delivers another story update plus the Akane spinoff. One of those quests sends you to St. Arbor, a location that is not just a renamed street in Hethereau. Budget time for that chapter the same week you open Pukaland, because event currency and story unlocks usually gate each other in this game.

New Modes and Events in the NTE 1.4 Version

The new Neverness to Everness version 1.4 preview did not hide the combat mode behind the park. We have new modes and events as:

1,000-Floor Limited Tower

A new limited-time climb with a checkpoint challenge every 10 floors. Difficulty scales the higher you go. This is the patch’s stamina sink for players who finish Travelogue early and still want Annulith. Treat floor 100 / 300 / 500 as the realistic weekly targets unless your account is already Beyond-the-Rails ready.

Version 1.4 Event List

  • Pukaland Travelogue
  • Snap! Golden Crackshot
  • Coal Lump’s Treasure
  • Puka Lucky Flip
  • Stamina Recharge
  • Pixel Surge
  • Gold Clash
Version 1.4 Event List

Stamina Recharge and Pixel Surge are the quiet ones that decide whether you can actually ascend Blackbird on week one. Do not skip them because the name looks like filler.

Porsche Collab Part 2, Outfits, and City Systems

Part 2 of the Porsche collaboration opens two Mystery Box events for the 911 Turbo (930) and the Taycan Turbo GT with Weissach Package. The original 918 Spyder returns with pity carried over from the previous Everdriving event, which is the single most important sentence in that segment if you already spent Fons in 1.1 and bounced off the last boxes.

Porsche Collab Part 2, Outfits, and City Systems

Outfits confirmed on the NTE version 1.4 live stream are:

  • Blackbird: Wandering Stars, Rouge et Noir, Unfazed Denim, Moonless Night
  • Akane Rin: Shining Idol, Cozy Velvet, Off the Clock, Tomorrow’s Star
  • Appraiser: Position Zero, Big Brains
Porsche Collab Part 2, Outfits, and City Systems

Systems that actually change how you log in:

  • City Tycoon gains a Puka Membership Program with skins for Baicang, Sakiri, and Haniel
  • Hunter Supplies (battle pass) cap rises to level 80
  • Past level 50 rewards improve: Standard Supplies add 100,000 Beetle Coin; Elite Supplies add 240,000 Beetle Coin, 250,000 Fons, and 360 Gold Carrota
  • Elite Arc Selection Box becomes Arc-Light Trove II — pick one Arc or 2,000,000 Fons
  • Volley Star gets an online update
  • Going! Going! Gone! is refreshed
  • Bond system update
  • Friends menu adds a Friend Recommendation tab

That Arc-Light Trove II choice is a real fork. If your limited Arc is already sitting in the shop, taking 2 million Fons can finish a Porsche box or fund City Tycoon membership faster than another duplicate stick.

When the tower, the Mystery Boxes, and two Limited Boards stack in the same six weeks, Annulith stops being a “someday” resource. So, Enjoygm is worth opening here, not as a slogan, but because a 1,000-floor climb plus Blackbird’s Roostfeather Special will drain the same wallet if you try to do both on official store prices. Top up only what your pity math actually needs, then stop.

Should You Pull in Neverness to Everness 1.4?

Use this as a decision tree, not a tier-list sermon.

  • Pull Blackbird in Phase 1 if you want the new Psyche Instant Cycle carry and you still have leftover Limited pity from Linko.
  • Hold for Akane Rin if your account already has a finished on-field DPS and you would rather add a Lakshana ranged unit plus the spinoff story cast.
  • Pull both only if you can clear two 80-pull worst cases and still fund one signature Arc. Shared Limited pity helps. Shared Special Issue Arc pity also helps. Shared patience is the part most accounts do not have.
  • F2P route: redeem the three codes today, clear Travelogue and the first 100 tower floors, take every Solid Dice login, and spend Pixel Surge on the character you already own. Do not open Porsche boxes with Annulith.
  • Low spender route: buy Hunter Supplies to 80, use Enjoygm only to finish a visible pity, and ignore the second Mystery Box unless 918 pity is already close.

Community leaks had already pointed at a gothic raven witch in 1.4 months ago. The special program did not contradict that fantasy and it just gave her a real ultimate name and a park to haunt.  Our Neverness to Everness roadmap leaked guide is still useful as a spending calendar, but treat the September 16 broadcast as the version that overwrites rumor.

Conclusion

So, that is it. NTE Version 1.4 is the first time Neverness to Everness puts a full theme park, a requiem-titled story, a thousand-floor climb, and two limited S-Class kits on the same calendar. Play the park. Climb until the checkpoint stops being free. Then spend on the character whose Cycle actually matches the team you already built.
