Neverness to Everness Should You Pull Linko — A Priority Guide

The Surfing All Channels board is already live, Version 1.4 is three weeks away, and every leftover Solid Die is arguing with itself. If you are staring at Linko’s trial and asking should you pull Linko in Neverness to Everness, you are not being indecisive. You are doing the only smart thing this patch allows. She is an S-Class Anima Plasma quickswap who spends almost no field time, shreds Esper RES, and turns Hexed into a follow-up engine. She is also not a second main DPS, not a Hotori replacement, and not a free pass if Iroi already covers your Anima slot. This guide answers should you pull Linko in Neverness to Everness, should you pull NTE Linko, and the follow-up: should I pull Linko or save.

Neverness to Everness Should You Pull Linko

Before you lock a 70-pull plan, top up Neverness to Everness through Enjoygm if you are going to spend at all. Official store rates eat the same Annulith you need for Linko and Voice of the Voyager, while Enjoygm’s NTE top-up route is the cleaner way to keep Solid Dice moving without blowing the rest of 1.3’s event stash. There is a fast delivery, support is actually staffed, and it is the difference between “I can finish her board” and “I parked at 68 pity.”

Quick Answer: Should You Pull Linko?

Should you pull Linko depends on the hole in your account, not on a generic S-tier badge.

Account statePull Linko?Why
Have Zankou, Nanally, or Shinku, and no IroiYes — high priorityShe is the Anima piece those three teams can share

The short answer for should you pull NTE Linko: pull her to raise teams you already play. Do not pull her to invent a team you do not have.

Who Is Linko in Neverness to Everness?

Linko is E.T.D. 6th Squad’s frequency specialist from Anima element, Plasma Arc type, S-Class, off-field sub-DPS / follow-up amplifier. Her partner Xiaozhen (also called Sadachan) marks enemies, slings her across Hethereau, and fires the extra hits her kit is built around.

Who Is Linko in Neverness to Everness?

What actually matters on the board are:

  • Synced Strike copies the element of the ally you pick, so she is not locked into mono-Anima lineups.
  • Full-Frequency Pulse (Redirect) consumes Modulation, calls that Synced Strike, and applies Precision Tuning — Esper Ability RES shred for the element she just synced.
  • Oversync (Ultimate) drops a Resonance Field. While it stands, team Support Skills count as Synced Strikes.
  • Weakness Radar is a team-passive Hexed upgrade: more follow-up damage on Hexed targets the moment she is in the party.
  • Field time is tiny. You tap her kit, swap the carry back in, and she keeps working.

That last point is why Neverness to Everness should you pull Linko is a roster question. Park a hypercarry on-field for thirty seconds and you waste her. Cycle properly and she looks like one of the best Anima sub-DPS units released so far.

If you already decided she is coming home, prefarm before you burn stamina on Rabbit Hole loops. Our Linko materials guide is the shopping list with Water Moon Pick, the Whisper ladder, Dress of Vanity — so she is usable the same week the board pays out.

Who Should Pull Linko?

Who Should Pull Linko? is the section most “is she S-tier” articles skip. Here is the actual filter.

Pull her if you match any of these:

  • You do not own Iroi and you need one Anima support that can sit in a Shinku Blossom team, a Zankou Hexed team, and a Nanally follow-up team.
  • You already run Zankou. Nightmare Waltz, Soulcross, Moonfall, and Bloodfeast Reverie all speak Follow-up Attack. That is Linko’s language.
  • You already run Nanally and want the Hexed / follow-up layer instead of another on-field Anima carry.
  • You already run Shinku and need an Anima partner for Blossom without parking a second carry.
  • You like quickswap. Her kit rewards players who rotate on purpose.

Skip her if you match any of these:

  • Iroi is built and you have no Zankou, Nanally, or Shinku to feed.
  • Your real problem is a second main DPS. Linko will not fix that.
  • You are holding a clean stash for Version 1.4’s Blackbird / Akane window and your current clears are already comfortable.
  • You only have enough currency for one limited and Hotori is still missing and your account needs a generalist more than a Hexed specialist.

Owning Iroi is the single biggest value cut. She already occupies the Anima support chair. Linko still wins on personal off-field damage and Hexed-specific follow-up, but she stops being an automatic pull.

Linko vs Hotori: Who Should You Pull?

Phase 2 of 1.3 is a trap banner pair. Linko vs Hotori is the decision a lot of accounts will get wrong because both are “good.” But, they do not do the same job so you better learn the difference.

Linko vs Hotori

Linko vs Hotori: Who Should You Pull?

  • Take Linko if your Incantation or Anima carry is already built and you want that team’s ceiling this patch.
  • Take Hotori if you still do not own her and your roster is “one good team, empty second slot.” She is the limited that fits almost any account.
  • Do not take both on an F2P or low-spender stash. Pity carries between limited character boards, but Annulith does not magically double.

Hotori’s time-stop burst still wins timed modes in a way Linko cannot copy. Linko’s Hexed upgrade is something Hotori cannot copy. Pick the hole, not the highlight reel.

For the Phase 1 half of this same version for Zankou versus the Nanally rerun, please take a decision by reviewing our Should You Pull Zankou in NTE 1.3 guide. If that article told you to stop after Zankou and bank Phase 2, this is the Phase 2 half of that plan.

Does Zankou Need Linko?

Does Zankou Need Linko? No. She wants her. Zankou clears content with:

  • Sakiri + Daffodill or Lacrimosa (Scorch / DoT core)
  • Iroi or Haniel in the buffer seat
  • Hotori as a flex copy-engine if you already own her
Does Zankou Need Linko

Hexed is the upgrade path, not the entry ticket. Hexed (Incantation + Anima) converts recent Anima and Incantation damage into a follow-up burst. Linko raises that burst, makes Hexed targets take more follow-up damage, and feeds Zankou’s Follow-up Attack share. That is a ceiling spike, not a “she is unplayable without it” lock.

Practical read for this is:

  • A0 Zankou, no Linko: still a top Incantation carry.
  • A0 Zankou + A0 Linko: Hexed team comes online. This is the 1.3 headline pairing.
  • A1 Zankou, no Linko: usually stronger than A0 Zankou + A0 Linko.

That last line is the one that answers Linko vs Zankou a1.

Linko vs Zankou A1: Where Extra Copies Should Go

If your currency can buy one extra limited body this patch, spend it on Zankou’s first awakening in almost every account shape.

Eyes of Abyss (Zankou A1) makes Hunt and Delusion permanent, bumps Hunt’s damage bonus, raises team DoT Crit DMG, and lets her main attacks spread DoT. That is a full-team mechanical jump. A0 Linko is a new slot and is flexible. She is not a bigger Zankou.

If you are stuck between A1 Zankou and A0 Linko, take A1 Zankou.

Linko A1 vs Signature

NTE awakenings unlock in any order, so “A1” on Linko means your first extra copy and the node you actually slot. The node that changes how Linko plays is Love, Loud and Clear. It lets the Synced Strike from Full-Frequency Pulse trigger Cycle effects. Setups go live on the first skill press instead of waiting for a lucky Cycle line. That is the largest single jump from a raw A0 kit.

Voice of the Voyager (signature Arc) is a different purchase. Separate pity. It stacks ATK, Support Skill Crit DMG, and Ultimate Crit DMG when Linko deals Support Skill damage. It is the best Arc if you are building her as an off-field damage dealer. It is not required for the RES shred or the Hexed team-passive to function.

So, the investments here will be as follows:

InvestmentWhat you buyWho it is for
A0 Linko, 4-star / Ready-Ready / Raging FlamesKit utility + shred + Hexed upgradeF2P, first copy only
A0 + Voice of the VoyagerPersonal Synced Strike damage ceilingAnyone treating her as a damage slot
First extra copy → Love, Loud and ClearCycle on Pulse, faster setupsAccounts that already use her every clear
Signature and extra copyBothSpenders finishing E.T.D. 6

Linko A1 vs signature is not a tie:

  • Need her to enable Hexed and shred today → first copy of the character beats the Arc.
  • Already have her at A0 and she is in your daily Hexed team → signature is the damage lever, Love, Loud and Clear is the mechanical lever. If you can only fund one, take the awakening node if your Cycles feel late; take the Arc if the Cycles already fire and the numbers look soft.

Ready-Ready is the honest substitute Arc here and Fluff of Fortitude is the battle-pass option. Raging Flames is the free S-Rank stat stick. None of them replace Voice of the Voyager’s Support Skill Crit package.

Linko A1 vs Signature

This is where Enjoygm actually matters inside the kit, not just the storefront. Voice of the Voyager runs on its own pity track. Pulling the Arc does not walk your character board, and walking the character board does not walk the Arc. If you are trying to finish both before September 30, top up Neverness to Everness through Enjoygm specifically for that split for character guarantee on one counter, Voyager on the other, instead of draining the same event Annulith you still need for 1.4.

Neverness to Everness top ups

Best Teams That Make the Pull Worth It

Linko’s value is team-shaped. These are the lineups that justify the board as:

Best Teams That Make the Pull Worth It

Premium Hexed

  • Zankou — Incantation carry, Follow-up Attack share
  • Linko — Synced Strike, Hexed upgrade, RES shred
  • Lacrimosa or Daffodill — Chaos / Scorch partner
  • Sakiri — buffer, grouping, Hexed pair

Nanally follow-up

  • Nanally — Anima carry whose damage already reads as follow-up
  • Linko — same Hexed / shred package
  • Iroi or Adler — sustain and Cycle help
  • Sakiri — damage amp

Shinku / Blossom flex

  • Shinku — Cosmos carry that wants an Anima partner
  • Linko — Anima half + RES tools
  • Zero or Hotori — extra Cycle / replication
  • Iroi or Jiuyuan — buffer / grouping

Linko can visit Charge and Blossom teams as a RES shredder even when Hexed is not the plan. That is the flexibility argument. It is real. It is still worse than parking her in Hexed.

Priority for F2P & Low Spenders

Priority for F2P & Low Spenders is where most accounts should stop reading theory and start counting Dice. NTE’s limited character boards have no 50/50. Featured S-Class is guaranteed when an S-Class drops. Soft pity leans in around 70, hard pity at 90. Character pity carries to the next limited character board. Arc pity does not.

F2P rules for this specific banner should be as follows:

  1. Do not open a second limited board if the first one already took 60+ pulls and paid nothing. You will own nobody when 1.4 opens.
  2. One body beats one weapon. A0 Linko with Ready-Ready still shreds and still upgrades Hexed. Voice of the Voyager is a spender goal.
  3. Do not chase Linko and Hotori. Pick one.
  4. Do not chase A0 Linko over A1 Zankou if Zankou is already your daily carry.
  5. Save the leftover if your clears are fine and Blackbird / Akane is the team you actually want next.
Priority for F2P & Low Spenders

Suggested spend ladders are:

StashDo this
Under 40 pulls, no pitySkip unless you are one ten-pull from a carried guarantee
40–70 pullsOne character only. Linko or Hotori. Not both. Not the Arc.
70–90 pullsGuarantee Linko if your roster matches the “who should pull” list
90+ and a built ZankouLinko first copy, then stop. Bank 1.4
Low spender with extra currency after A0Love, Loud and Clear before Voyager if Cycles feel late

If Phase 1 already consumed your Zankou guarantee, you are allowed to walk away from Phase 2. That is not a fail. That is how shared pity is supposed to be used.

Should I Pull Linko or Save?

Should I pull Linko or save is the 1.4 question wearing a 1.3 costume.

You can save when:

  • You need a second DPS more than a better first team.
  • Iroi is built and your follow-up carries are missing.
  • You are specifically waiting on Blackbird (Merula) or Akane Rin and you will be angry if this board eats the stash.

Pull when:

  • Zankou / Nanally / Shinku is the team you play every day and Iroi is missing.
  • You already lost the 1.4 race psychologically and you want a complete Hexed core now.
  • Pity is sitting high enough that “save” means donating 80 pulls of progress to a banner you might also skip.

Version 1.4 starts when this board dies on September 30. There is no secret third week. If you pull, pull with a hard stop. If you save, save without opening “just a ten-pull to see the skin.”

Conclusion

And at last, Neverness to Everness should you pull Linko? Yes,  if she plugs an Anima hole that Zankou, Nanally, or Shinku can use, and you can live without Hotori and without 1.4’s first limited. The answer is no if Iroi already sits in that chair, if you need a carry more than a sync partner, or if A1 Zankou is still unbought. Treat should you pull Linko in Neverness to Everness as a roster audit, lock the plan before the next ten-pull, and let the Surfing All Channels board either finish the Hexed team or stay closed until 1.4.
