General Information

Claret is an upcoming S Rank Agent of the Electric Element and the brand new Armorer Specialty that specializes in dealing Defense-based damage to enemies. She specializes in inflicting special statuses to enemies while dealing damage to gain resources and massively enhances her playstyle.

Claret Skill Kit

– Basic Attack: Blood Forge – Four Strikes

Press Claret Normal Attack to activate:

Unleashes up to 4 hammer attacks forward, dealing Electric DMG.

– Basic Attack: Star Forge

While under [Crimson Inscription], press Claret Normal Attack to activate:

Unleash up to three Slashes forward with the blood axe, dealing Electric DMG;

During the third attack, Anti-Interrupt level is increased. Hold ClaretNormal to extend the skill duration.

– Basic Attack: Blood Axe Return

While under [Crimson Inscription], after launching [Special Attack: Blood Blossom Oath – Jin Severance] or [EX Special Attack: Blood Blossom Oath – Blood Burial Onslaught] and successfully inflicting [Maim], Press Claret Normal Attack to activate:

Spins the blood axe downward and slashes the target enemy, dealing Electric DMG;

Character is invulnerable while using this skill.

– Special Attack: Dawn’s First Call

Press Claret Special Attack to activate:

Launch two hammer attacks forward, dealing Electric DMG.

Anti-Interrupt level is increased while using this skill.

– EX Special Attack: Blood-Forged Edge

When Sharpness is sufficient and not in [Crimson Inscription], press Claret Special Attack to activate:

Transforms the forging hammer into a blood axe and Slashes the target enemy, dealing Electric DMG;

After consuming Sharpness to use this skill, enters [Crimson Inscription] for 16s. While off field, the duration no longer decreases;

Character is invulnerable while using this skill.

– Special Attack: Cleave Through Steel

While in [Crimson Inscription], press Claret Special Attack to activate:

Performs a powerful upward Slash forward, dealing Electric DMG;

During this skill, gains Immunity to attacks from enemies with [Gash];

If the attack hits an enemy with [Gash], inflicts [Maim] on the target, dealing additional Electric DMG;

Anti-Interrupt level is increased while using this skill.

– EX Special Attack: Blood Burial Onslaught

While in [Crimson Inscription] and possessing [Personal Resources], during the [Special Attack: Execution] upswing, hold Claret Special Attack to activate:

Launches a powerful continuous spinning Slash forward, dealing massive Electric DMG;

If the attack hits an enemy with [Gash], inflicts [Maim] on the target, dealing additional Electric DMG;

Upon activating this skill, consume all [Personal Resources]. For every 1 point of [Personal Resources] consumed, the skill’s DMG is increased by 6.5%.

Character is invulnerable while using this skill.

– Chain Attack: Blood Pact Resonance

Unleashes continuous Slashes on enemies ahead, dealing massive Electric DMG;

When a heavy attack hits an enemy, directly applies 1 stack of [Gash] to the enemy;

During this skill, if already in [Crimson Imprint], hold Claret Special Attack to quickly chain into [EX Special Attack: Blood Blossom Oath – Arcane Blood Forging] without consuming Sharpness, and extend [Crimson Imprint] duration by 4s;

Character is invulnerable while using this skill.

– Ultimate: Forged in Fire

When Decibel Rating is at Maximum, press Ultimate to activate:

Unleash a series of slashes at enemies ahead, dealing massive Electric DMG.

When a heavy attack hits an enemy, directly applies 1 stack of [Gash] to the enemy.

Character is invulnerable while using this skill.

– Core Passive: Pale Blood Feast

All DMG dealt by Claret’s skills is Sharp DMG, using DEF as the DMG Multiplier;

When triggering a critical hit, Laceration DMG replaces CRIT DMG for calculation; when CRIT Rate exceeds 100%, an additional Laceration check is performed, with the Laceration probability equal to the excess CRIT Rate;

Sharp DMG accumulates Gash value. When the Gash value is full, the enemy enters [Gash]. [Gash] can stack up to 3 times;

When Claret’s [Special Attack: Blood Bloom Oath – Sever Steel] or [EX Special Attack: Blood Bloom Oath – Sanguine Onslaught] hits an enemy in the [Gash] state, it consumes one stack of [Gash] and triggers [Maim] to deal additional DMG;

When the whole squad triggers [Maim], Claret gains 1 [Personal Resources];

After Claret enters [Crimson Inscription], her Anti-Interrupt level increases. When attacking targets with Blood Bloom Oath skills, CRIT Rate increases by 35%, and DMG dealt increases by 25%.

– Additional Ability: 

When another [Stun] Character or another [Armorer] Character is in the squad:

When a teammate’s attack hits an enemy while they are the active Character, accumulates 3% Gash value on the target. Can trigger at most once every 1s;

When a [Stun] Character in the squad hits an enemy with a [Special Attack] or [EX Special Attack] heavy attack while they are the active Character, triggers [Maim], once per use of a skill. Maim DMG is considered DMG dealt by Claret;

Whenever Claret or a teammate consumes 1 stack of [Gash] to trigger [Maim], enters [Gleaming Edge Unveiled]. While in the [Gleaming Edge Unveiled] state, PEN Ratio increases by 20%, Daze dealt increases by 10%, lasting 10s;

After Claret enters the [Gleaming Edge Unveiled] state via [Maim], the first time she switches to a [Stun] or another [Armorer] teammate, extends [Gleaming Edge Unveiled] duration by 3s and copies this buff to the corresponding Character;

After a teammate triggers [Maim] and enters the [Gleaming Edge Unveiled] state, triggers Claret’s Quick Assist: the first time she is switched in, she performs [Basic Attack: Blood Bloom Oath – Crouching Axe], extends [Gleaming Edge Unveiled] duration by 3s, and copies this buff to Claret;

Re-entering [Gleaming Edge Unveiled] via [Maim] extends the duration of [Gleaming Edge Unveiled].

Claret Mindscape Cinema

– C1: When Claret’s attack hits an enemy and triggers a Sharp Explosion, Gash Buildup Rate increases by 15%; when the whole squad successfully applies Gash to an enemy, Claret’s CRIT Rate increases by 5%, lasting 15 seconds, stacking up to 3 times; repeated triggers reset the duration.

– C2: When Blood Blossom Oath skill attacks hit an enemy, ignore -35% of the target’s Electric RES; when the whole squad’s skills trigger [Maim], Claret recovers 0.25 Sharpness. This can be triggered at most once per skill.

– C4: When Claret is in the [Scarlet Inscription] state, performing a dodge will preserve her current Basic Attack combo count.

Claret Signature W-Engine

Effect: CRIT Rate increases by 25%; when the equipper’s attack hits an enemy and triggers a Sharp strike, gain 1 stack of [Enhance]:

Increases the equipper’s Electric DMG by 7%, lasting 20s; stacks up to 3 times. Repeated triggers refresh the duration of all [Enhance] stacks. Can trigger at most once every 0.1s;

When at 3 stacks of this effect, additionally increases the equipper’s Electric Sharp DMG by 12%.

Overall Gameplay Assessment

Claret skill kit revolves around 3 main gimmicks: Sharp Damage, Gash Values and her powerful Crimson Inscription state.

As an Armorer Specialty Agent, all of Claret’s attacks and damage will be considered Sharp Damage, which scales entirely off her defense stat instead of her attack stats. Upon dealing Sharp Damage to enemies, Claret will accumulate Gash Values on enemies and inflict the Gash status on enemies when they have accumulated enough of the value. An enemy can have up to 3 stacks of Gash status on them and whenever Gash is inflicted on the enemy, Claret will gain 1 stack of Personal Resources, which boost her damage output.

Whenever Claret deals a critical hit to the enemy, instead of taking the critical damage calculations into account and boosting her damage output, the critical hit will instead be calculated as  Laceration DMG, which takes Claret’s Critical Rate into account instead. The more Critical Rate Claret has that exceed the 100% threshold, the more likely an instance of  Laceration DMG will trigger whenever she inflicts a Critical Hit on the enemies, allowing Claret to deal multiple instances of critical hits to enemies the higher her critical rate value is.

When she consumes her Sharp value upon her EX Special Attack hit, Claret will enter the Crimson Inscription state, which massively boost the damage output and critical rate of Claret in addition to allowing her to use special moves and attacks while in this state.
