Honkai Star Rail Cyrene and Chrysos Heir Synergies – The Best Cyrene Chrysos Heir Buffs
Cyrene is an amazing support character that can be slotted into different team comps to help elevate the power of the different Heirs in their Best In Slot Teams.

That being said, depending on the Heir and their preferred team comps, slotting in Cyrene will raise different types of considerations and problems that players will need to account for, making her buffs less appealing for certain Heirs and their teams.
Therefore, based on how she performs in the different Best In Slot Heir teams and based on how powerful the buffs she provides for the different Heirs are, we shall divide her synergy with the heirs into 3 different tiers: Low Value Synergies, High Value Synergies and Best Value Synergies between Cyrene and the Heirs and their team building.
Please note that this is evaluating a Cyrene at E0 and taking into account her Ultimate Charging time. For E2 Cyrene, the value of all Heir buffs are generally equalized.
Low Value Synergies
These heirs buffs are low in value overall, due to slotting Cyrene into these heir’s teams does not provide much better value than other support characters or making it hard for the team to function smoothly and properly due to how much charge Cyrene’s Ultimate needs. These synergies for these heirs aren’t necessarily bad, it’s just inefficient, making it better to use Cyrene to buff other heirs than to force the synergies for these heirs:
– Hysilens (Ode to Ocean)

Effect: One-time effect. When used on Hysilens, Hysilens gains “Flowing Warmth.” After Hysilens uses an attack, consumes “Flowing Warmth” and regenerates 60 Energy for this unit. In this battle, increases DMG dealt by Hysilens by 120%. After Hysilens uses Basic ATK/Skill to attack enemies, causes the DoT currently applied on the attacked enemy targets to immediately produce DMG equal to 60%/80% of the original DMG.
Generally speaking, this buff effect is quite good for Hysilens, with Cyrene providing her with a hefty energy boost whenever she uses her buff on Hysilens while also allowing Hysilens to trigger DoTs with her Normal Attacks and Skills.
However, this buff is very difficult to trigger due to Hysilens’ team building, which mainly consist of characters that inflict DoTs and detonate them like Kafka and Black Swan, making slotting Cyrene into the team very awkward, with only 1 or 2 Heirs to help charge her Ultimate while also having to sacrifice additional instances of DoT since Cyrene herself does not inflict DoTs.
– Phainon (Ode to Worldbearing)

Effect: Effective for the entire battle. After it is used on Phainon, Phainon gains 6 “Coreflames” as well as “Eternal Ignition” when Transforming. When Transforming, if “Coreflame” exceeds 12, for each point in excess, Khaslana’s CRIT DMG increases by 12%, up to 72%. While “Eternal Ignition” persists, increases Khaslana’s CRIT Rate by 16%.
After the extra turns are depleted, the Transformation does not end, but refreshes all of Khaslana’s extra turns and gains 4 point(s) of “Scourge.” At the start of Khaslana’s extra turns, Khaslana consumes an amount of HP equal to 15% of his current HP. After using an attack, deals 5 instances of Additional DMG, with each instance dealing Fire Additional DMG equal to 10% of Khaslana’s ATK to one random enemy.
On paper, this buff is amazing for Phainon, allowing him to not exit his ultimate mode after his actions ends, making him keep up his damage output indefinitely as long as he can sustain himself with attacks. However, this is only good on paper.
The main problem with running Cyrene alongside Phainon’s team is again, Cyrene’s Ultimate charging time, which makes it so that she needs to charge her Ultimate quickly before Phainon enters his Ultimate form to grant him the benefits. Even then, however, Phainon teams already run extremely good support options like Cerydra, Sunday and Dan Heng PT, making it hard to justify slotting Cyrene into Phainon teams.
– Tribbie (Oath To Passage)

Effect: Effective for the entire battle. When used on Tribbie, causes DMG dealt by Tribbie to ignore 12% of the enemy’s DEF. When Tribbie launches Follow-up ATK and triggers the Additional DMG from Tribbie’s Zone, it further deals 1 instance(s) of Additional DMG.
A simple effect buff from Cyrene that helps Tribbie deal more damage overall. And that’s the main problem with the effect – it’s TOO Simple. The effect on Tribbie can be considered a bonus for when players have extra charges for Cyrene after using her first Ultimate to buff other allies. Otherwise, this buff is not worth building up Cyrene’s entire Ultimate bar just to grant a buff that only improves Tribbie’s damage output slightly.
High Value Synergies
These Synergises offer decent to powerful buffs to the heirs that Cyrene targets, allowing them to perform better in their teams with her help. Getting these buffs are quite worth the effort to slot Cyrene in their teams as the support option, as long as you can charge her Ultimate up quickly enough:
– Anaxa (Ode to Reason):

Effect: One-time effect. When used on Anaxa, recovers 1 Skill Point(s) for allies and allows Anaxa to take action immediately. Increases the number of Skill DMG instances by 3 for 1 turn. The next time Anaxa uses his Basic ATK or Skill, he gains “True Knowledge”: Increases the ATK of all Erudition Path characters by 60% and Skill DMG dealt by 40% until the start of Anaxa’s next turn.
A powerful buff that allows Anaxa to occasionally fire off 3 skills at once while also providing the Erudition team with a very hefty damage buff. The only downside of this buff is that the Erudition team is less capable of quickly charging up Cyrene’s Ultimate.
– Hyacine (Ode to Sky):

Effect: When Demiurge uses Memosprite Skill, causes Hyacine to gain 2 stacks of “Ode to Sky.” When used on Hyacine, regenerates 24 Energy for Hyacine. When Hyacine has “Ode to Sky” and is providing healing, additionally increases the healing value for Little Ica’s Memosprite Skill by an amount equal to 72% of the healing value this time. After Hyacine uses Skill/Ultimate, consumes 1 stack of “Ode to Sky.”
A good buff to the healer Hyacine, allowing her to heal allies even more. The best thing about this buff is that it triggers automatically upon Cyrene buffing other heirs, so you don’t have to waste an Ultimate charge to target Hyacine with the buff.
– Cipher (Ode to Trickery):

Effect: Effective for the entire battle. When used on Cipher, increases the DMG dealt by Cipher by 36%, and decreases the DEF of the “Patron” by 20% and the DEF of enemy targets other than “Patron” by 12%.
A simple buff that massively boosts the damage output of any team Cipher is in as it allows Cipher to reduce the defense of enemies on the field by a massive 40% just by existing.
– Cerydra (Ode to Law):

Effect: Effective for the entire battle. After using on Cerydra, increases the CRIT DMG of the character with “Military Merit” by 30%. After Coup de Main ends, Cerydra immediately gains 1 point(s) of Charge.
A strong extra buff for teams that uses Cerydra as it elevates Cerydra’s supporting capability and help Cerydra to cycle her charges much faster.
– Dan Heng Permansor Terrae (Ode to Earth):

Effect: When Demiurge uses Memosprite Skill, grants “Ode to Earth” to Dan Heng Permansor Terrae, and the next 3 attack(s) of “Souldragon” deals Additional DMG of the “Bondmate’s” Type, equal to 80% of the “Bondmate’s” Shield Effect. When Dan Heng Permansor Terrae holds “Ode to Earth,” the “Bondmate” deals 24% more DMG. When used on Dan Heng Permansor Terrae, additionally advances Souldragon’s action by 100%. The Souldragon’s next action gains the enhanced effects of Dan Heng Permansor Terrae’s Ultimate and the Shield Effect provided by Souldragon is 150% of its original Shield value. Does not consume the enhancement Charge of Dan Heng Permansor Terrae’s Ultimate.
Similar to Hyacine, a very strong buff that helps boost the sustain and support capability of Dan Heng. This buff is also automatically apply onto Dan Heng when Cyrene uses her Memosprite skill like with Hyacine, meaning you don’t have to waste a charge of Cyrene’s buff on Dan Heng and can use it on another Heir.
– Evernight (Ode to Time):

Effect: Effective for the entire battle. After it is used on Evernight, increases DMG dealt when Evey uses the Memosprite Skill “Dream, Dissolving, as Dew” by 18%. After Evernight uses a Skill/Ultimate, additionally gains 1 “Memoria” point(s). The CRIT DMG boost effect provided by the Skill is further increased by an amount equal to 12% of Evernight’s CRIT DMG.
A decent buff for Evernight as it helps to boost Evernight’s overall damage while also allowing Evernight to cycle her attacks much faster by gaining more Memoria Points
Best Value Synergies
These heirs synergize the best with Cyrene, with her buffs massively changing the way they play and completely elevate their gameplay, significantly boosting their damage output and make her their best in slot support option. Slotting Cyrene into these heirs’ team is the most optimal way to make use of both Cyrene and the heir’s synergy together:
– Castorice (Ode to Life and Death):

Effect: Effective for the entire battle. When used on Castorice, “Newbud” can overflow up to 200%. When summoning Netherwing, consumes all overflowed “Newbud,” increases the DMG multiplier of the DMG dealt by 0.24% for every 1% of overflow value consumed when the summoned Netherwing triggers the ability effect of its Talent, “Wings Sweep the Ruins.” If there are 2 enemy target(s) on the field or fewer when summoned, the DMG multiplier additionally increases by 0.48% when summoning.
This Cyrene buff massively improves Castorice single target damage output by allowing her to take advantage of any overhealing from allies to charge her Ultimate further. This allows Castorice to min max her damage output and grant her the ability to hold her Ultimate to max her damage output against boss enemies for the best benefits.
– Remembrance Trailblazer (Ode to Genesis):

Effect: Effective for the entire battle. When used on Trailblazer (Remembrance), increases Trailblazer (Remembrance)’s ATK by a value equal to 16% of Demiurge’s Max HP, and increases Trailblazer (Remembrance)’s CRIT Rate by a value equal to 72% of Demiurge’s CRIT Rate. This effect also applies to Mem. After Trailblazer (Remembrance) uses Enhanced Basic ATK in this battle, Demiurge immediately gains 1 extra turn and automatically uses “Minuet of Blooms and Plumes.” If the target was defeated before this ability is used, it will be used on newly appeared enemy targets instead.
This buff provides Remembrance Trailblazer with a massive amount of stats while also allowing Cyrene herself to supplement the team’s damage whenever Remembrance Trailblazer uses their enhanced attack, improving both Remembrance Trailblazer and Cyrene’s damage cycle and output.
– Mydei (Ode to Strife):

Effect: One-time effect. When used on Mydei, removes all Crowd Control debuffs inflicted on him. And if Mydei is in the “Vendetta” state, he automatically uses 1 instance of “Godslayer Be God” without consuming Charge. Mydei’s CRIT DMG increases by 200% during this attack. If the target gets defeated before the use, then it will target the newly arriving enemy targets instead. If Mydei is not in the “Vendetta” state, then advances Mydei’s action by 100%.
This buff massively changes how Mydei plays by allowing players to trigger Mydei’s enhanced Skill Attack with ease instead of waiting for Mydei to be attacked by enemies or consuming his HP. This buff also boost his damage output massively, allowing Mydei team to become as strong as some of the most meta teams in the game.
– Aglaea (Ode to Romance):

Effect: One-time effect. When used on Aglaea, causes Aglaea to gain “Romantic” and immediately stacks Garmentmaker’s Memosprite Talent’s SPD Boost effect to its max. After Aglaea or Garmentmaker uses an attack, consumes “Romantic” and regenerates 70 Energy. Increases DMG dealt by Aglaea and Garmentmaker by 72%, and ignores 36% of the target’s DEF, lasting until Aglaea exits the “Supreme Stance” state.
The same situation with Mydei where this Cyrene buff massively improves Aglaea team’s meta relevancy by enabling Aglaea to cycle her abilities much quicker while also receiving a hefty damage buff, making Cyrene one of Aglaea’s best dedicated support characters.
