Chaos Zero Nightmare Forbidden Catalyst Update Patch – Everything You Need To Know
What Is The Forbidden Catalyst Update Patch
Starting on the 12th of November 2025 and last for a total of 63 days period, the special Galactic Disaster Update Patch Forbidden Catalyst is Chaos Zero Nightmare first ever Event update patch, consisting of special limited time game modes, brand new game features, brand new cards, special even exclusive items and rewards, and finally, the release of several brand new characters.
The Forbidden Catalyst Update patch is divided into 3 different parts, each with their own story releases, different release dates and brand new items in the shop of each phase to let players exchange.
The first update period for the Forbidden Catalyst Patch lasts from the 12th of November, 2025 until the 3rd of December, 2025, lasting for a total of 21 days. The character on rate up for this update period is the Order Striker Yuki.

Brand New Story & Event Shop
Together with the update patch, players will have the chance to partake in a special limited time event story, featuring the brand new characters and obtain special rewards and event currencies when first clearing the event story stages.
Similarly to the separate stages release, the event story release will also be divided into 3 separate periods and will be released gradually over the 9 weeks period of the update, each story being released 3 weeks apart from each other. During the event period, challenge the Chaos Zone will allow players to obtain exclusive save data and save files that can be used in the different event exclusive game modes with powerful new cards to try out.
Furthermore, this new Chaos Zone will feature brand new enemies, brand new events, special chaos zone exclusive equipment and amazing monster cards and buffs that players can obtain. The majority of these brand new equipment sets and monster cards are made exclusively to help characters whose gimmick revolves around drawing cards from the deck using their own cards, which players can use to build up the brand new character Yuki.
After the event ends, all of the save data made in the event exclusive chaos zone will be retained, including the event monster cards and equipment. Furthermore, after the update patch ends, this New Chaos Zone will be added permanently into the game alongside all of the equipment and monster cards, allowing players to build their preferred characters with the special equipment from this zone.
Event Missions and Weekly Progression
To reward players with even more event exclusive items and more event currencies to spend in the exchange shop for more character upgrading materials, special missions will also be available for players to complete during the event period.
By clearing the brand new chaos zone, completing certain story nodes, challenging high difficulty contents, players will be able to obtain special items and large amounts of event currencies to exchange for rewards in the shop.
Additionally, a weekly progression gauge is available, where players will need to clear contents in the new Chaos Zone a number of times weekly to be able to fill up the weekly gauge and complete weekly missions for even more event currencies. This is very important for players to be able to clear the entire event shop, therefore, don’t forget to do these!
Nebula Distortion and The Great Rift
The Nebula Distortion is a special gamemode where players will need to challenge the different bosses in the game with progressive difficulties by applying buffs on enemies and debuffs on the team. Please note that when challenging this mode, players will only be able to use the save data they get from challenging the new Event Chaos Zone, so challenging the new Chaos Zone to make new builds for characters is mandatory if you want to succeed.
The Great Rift is the other challenge mode that will be available starting from the 2nd week of the Forbidden Catalyst Update Patch. In this mode, once again, players will need to form 2 teams and use the special new Chaos Zone Save Data builds to challenge the different enemies, divided into 2 separate stages.
Upon completion, players will be able to obtain large amounts of event currencies and crystals and will be recorded onto the leaderboard depending on how fast they clear the stages. Brand New Characters

The rate up character for the 1st phase of the Forbidden Catalyst update is Yuki, a Order Striker character that specializes in dealing AoE damage and triggering special Inspiration effects on her Attack cards by using her cards to draw them directly from Deck.
The rate up character for the 2nd phase of the Forbidden Catalyst update is Chizuru, a Void Striker. Little information is known about her skill kit for now, but she promises to be a very powerful brand new character.
